Meh food. I have to eat gluten free, so the GF menu is highly appreciated– but the food just isn’t as good as the price. I’ll eat here if I HAVE to, but I won’t seek it out.

Went here for Thursday lunch because Texas Roadhouse hadn’t opened yet and by God I wish we ate somewhere else. I’ll make this short: 1. Service was slow and server attitude was«meh 2. Do not order the strawberry lemonade, which should accurately be titled, «A little bit of lemonade squirted into a glass, half full of ice and water, garnished with two little pieces of strawberry» 3. The shrimp and pasta, no taste at all and if I ordered the«dinner size», I can’t even imagine what the«lunch portion» looks like. I struggled to find any sauce or flavor in both. Overall we were let down by what initially sounded like a great place, would not return.

Let me start of by saying that I expected the same level of service I have previously received from other Outback Steakhouses and unfortunately was completely disgusted by this one in particular(Orange, CT). I love going to Outback Steakhouse and have been to many different ones around the US, but the level of service my family and I received here was unacceptable of a reputable restaurant such as Outback Steakhouse. We were seated immediately after walking in since there weren’t many customers and half of the restaurants tables were empty. Fifteen minutes! Passed and no one greeted us or offered us anything to drink. I had to specifically ask one of the waitresses that passed by us twice, if someone was going to help us. She then proceeded to help another couple who arrived after us even though she knew that we had been waiting for some time. We finally ordered our food which arrived cold(no rules Parmesan pasta with chicken) the drinks were watered down(mango iced tea). The waitress never offered a second drink as we sat there waiting for her to offer. The waitress seamed annoyed as we asked for different things essential of any restaurant such as silverware! A desert is usually a must when we dine out, but this time we did not want to deal with the bad service any longer, so we wanted to pay and leave. We further waited another ten minutes to have the check brought to us and that only happened because my wife went looking for our waitress. The manager of the establishment, Carlos Rivera, could not express himself in any other way but simply saying«I’m sorry». I usually don’t take the time to write reviews but after this experience I felt extremely compelled to advise anyone else NOTTOEATATOUTBACKSTEAKHOUSEINORANGE, CT. Take your money down the street as there are many more restaurants that may offer better service and food.

All you can eat seafood is pretty good to try out. It was a nice time out to enjoy a meal without worrying. Staff was polite and helpful. Little bit pricey for the small portions.

We came here today after my nephews baptism. Our waiter, James, was the best! There were 14 of us including 4 kids. Jame was VERY attentive and made sure we had everything we need it. My family is not difficult but we are very loud and that can get some people annoyed. And not for one second he looked overwhelmed or frustrated with us. I want to give him a big Thank him for his great service and his professionalism, and for putting up with us(lol). Will definitely come back!

So we went to outback last night because we received a gift card. We will not be returning. My bf and I both ordered draft beers and we were told the tap was broken. We then switched to a bottled Boston Lager and Sam’s seasonal. Waiter comes back and informs us they are all out of bottled Sam Adams of any kind. UGH. So I order a skinny margarita and my bf gets a dos xx. The margarita was basically juice(couldn’t taste even a hint of alcohol) and a bottle of dos xx turns out to be over $ 5. After finally getting the drinks(our third choices), there is still no bread on our table, so we ask. Bread eventually comes… followed thirty seconds later by our food. I got the sesame salad with ahi tuna and my bf gets the bloomin burger. Both are«fine,» but nothing special. The waiter came back and my drink was empty so he asks if I want another, ignoring the fact that my date also has an empty glass. While at the table, he takes away the rest of bread and butter and tries to take my plate with food still on it. Don’t get between a girl and her food. We finally got out of there $ 63 later(luckily the gift card covered most of it) and are positive we will not be returning to any outback steakhouse, gift card or not.

I have never been disappointed by Outback. The hostess’ come off a bit annoyed when you are getting seated however that’s not why I’m here. The wait staff is always quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Food is absolutely awesome and I have never had a bad piece of meat here. It is a bit pricy but it is worth it. I come here at least once a month.

The service here is amazing. Coming from Vermont and decided to stop in. We were going to eat in NY but the kids couldn’t wait. Chastity was our server and she was absolutely amazing. There were some snafu’s with the kitchen but she went above and beyond to make this a pleasurable experience. After a long long day of driving, this family appreciated all of her efforts. I personally like Outback. This was my hubby’s first time. If it wasn’t for Chastity, I doubt he would ever let me pick the restaurant we eat at again. THANKYOUCHASTITY!!!

Went there with my girlfriend. Great service and food. Our waiter was checking in on us within a timely manner for how busy it was and the price isn’t to bad. We spent a lot but we also had steaks.

Food is ok here but the service is mediocre. My 6 year old and I were quickly seated however, we sat waiting for our server for over 10 minutes. Then a young family comes in and sits at a table next to us and not 5 minutes of waiting they get waited on. This is ridiculous. I complained to the hostess and all she could say ‘I’m sorry’ ?! Seriously. I will never come eat at this location ever again.

Always good steaks and reliable friendly service. Menu varies just enough to keep it interesting, but not so much that it is too confusing. Outback is one of the few chain restaurants I enjoy.

Just like every outback steakhouse i’ve ever been to. good prices, great service, and that g-d bloomin’ onion. you truly can’t go wrong with the bloomin’ onion. I went there on a holiday monday around 2 and was seated right away in a roomy seat. That bloomin’ onion though… I can still taste it in my dreams.

My neighbour’s children wanted to go here for burgers and steak, and since we were obliged to take them out, we acquiesced. Unfortunately, I neither liked the place nor the food. The parking lot first off was hard to find and ended up at UI. The wait staff seemed harassed and only seemed interested in «getting the job done», as in taking our orders and giving us the cheque. We neither received our cutlery, which apparently is generally left at the table, but as we didn’t have any, she never bothered to check. So we had to ask the waiter who delivered us our food for cutlery, or silverware as the American folks serving us likes to call it! Then I asked for hot sauce which the waitress very conveniently chose to forget! And my husband wanted to order dessert, but we got the cheque instead!!! So ridiculous! Apparently the waiting staff needs to be trained properly and needs to learn how to serve customers instead of trying to do a rush job so that she can conveniently ignore us and our needs and requests. I don’t require them to hover or check in a million times, but I would appreciate if they could kindly remember or requests, or ask us if we would like dessert instead of just giving us the bill! Seriously!!! I think you would be better off eating elsewhere, for the 100 dollars we spent at this place! I would not have tipped her, if it was not for the kind and friendly waiter who bought us our food, and who I saw bussing tables when I went to use the bathrooms. So I left them a 20. But I am not pleased with this place, and I won’t be going here again!

My friend had never been so we went here Friday early evening. Service was friendly, we both ordered the sirloin special, his medium well, mine medium. We both ate garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. We started feeling ill a couple hours after we left. Did not go to hospital but let’s say we were v dehydrated for the next two days and completely useless. We DID return our silverware sets twice due to them being FILTHY. I do not think their dishes or their black napkins are getting washed at the proper temperature. Let this review be proven wrong.

actually one of the handful,(maybe even smaller than that) of chain restaurants worth going to. Their steak is always cooked perfectly! and lets not forget about the blooming onion! my recommendation is the create your own steak with the vidtoria filet, its about $ 26 but very worth it!

The restaurant is located in the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott. This place gets very busy on the weekend and you can wait in excess of an hour to get a seat. However, if you decide to wait it out or go on a day that it is not so busy, you will not be sorry. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very fresh and the steak is delicious! I decided to order the prime rib and it was amazing. It was marbled nicely and seasoned to perfection. It came out in less than 20 minutes. The server frequently stopped by the table to make sure the food was okay and that our drinks were always full. I will certainly come back with friends to try some other menu options. I left stuffed and also with a decent sized to go bag. I also wanted to mention that the prices are pretty reasonable.

This past Friday I decided I wanted to go to Outback for dinner; the last time I went was roughly ten years ago(and I live less than 2 miles from the place)! The reason I stopped going here was because of the service, but I figured… It’s time to try again! I called at about 7:30pm to see how long the wait was and to my surprise the hostess said they take phone reservations! I made an 8:10 reservation for 3 people. I got there at 8 only for them to tell me the reservation was for 2 ppl and that I had 30 mins more to wait. At this point I was frustrated but okay with it, seeing that I truly was in no rush but was wondering why they even took reservations if they can’t stand by it. 30 minutes pass and I ask when will we be seated only for a longer wait time. We were finally able to sit at 8:45. I understand it’s Friday night, but why take reservations, and why give an unrealistic wait time!!! Again, it’s been years since I’ve been here last because of the service and my first time back, they’re at it again… Yikes! On top of that the hostess was rude and so was the lady who sat us. She complained about her coworker messing up the menu layout and just overall seemed really mad. The pleasant part– We ordered right away– New Zealand lamb chops, salmon and shrimp combo as well as the bloomin onion. Lamb was delicious although we asked for medium well we got medium, not a big deal though. The shrimp and salmon were standard. I really doubt I will be back here any time soon; it’s a shame because the food is pretty good!

Restaurant is located in the parking lot of the Courtyard hotel, not much else visibly within walking distance if you are staying at the hotel. The staff was nice, nothing special. Restaurant is clean and priced as you would expect from this chain. The 6oz sirloin with mushroom sauce with fries for $ 9.99 is surprisingly good. I won’t rush back to an Outback but if I have limited options it is a pretty tasty meal for a reasonable price.

Pretty much what you’d expect. The bartenders are very nice(I ate at the bar three consecutive nights) but the conversations they have with the regular clientele border on the frustratingly mundane. The drinks(cocktails) are overpriced for what you get but at least they have some options beyond a gin and tonic. The food, in my opinion, is superior to other national chains. but be prepared to answer 5 – 10 questions for every item you order. This location is immediately in front of the Courtyard by Marriott. The next nearest restaurant to that hotel is on Boston Post Road.

Nice friendly staff, but the food for this chain was not impressive. I tried the marinated rib-eye and unfortunately seemed to be drowned in Rosemary. The other seasonings on the steak really overpowered the natural flavor of the meat — and not in a good way. I didn’t finish it. I wanted grilled asparagus as a side but they were out of it. The only other green veggies they had in stock were steamed green beans(no flavor at all and too crunchy) and a house salad that was very bitter and not that green. The strawberry lemonade was awesome but shouldn’t have been the highlight of my meal at a steakhouse.
