Purchased a almond bear claw. It was really dry and had hardly any filling to help balance out the dryness. Nothing else looked all that appetizing so I went with what looked best. Maybe 8:30am is too late for the really good stuff. I really wanted a coffee but the girl was new and hadn’t been trained on the coffee machine yet. Kind of sad considering she was the only one there for morning business and couldn’t sell coffee unless you only wanted drip coffee. I won’t completely rule the place out though since I’ve only had one item. I’ll have to stop by later in the day and maybe try some cookies or other tasty afternoon treats. But I thought I’d at least review for those morning people looking for a quick breakfast.

I just celebrated my 38th Birthday and my Birthday Cake came from Poul’s, it was delicious. So delicious in fact, that we just ordered my Mom’s birthday cake from Poul’s as well, and it also was just as good. Both cakes had buttercream frosting which was fantastic! I think we may have found our go-to bakery for special occasion cakes and baked goods!

Never again! Lost a customer and lots a business. My family is huge and we have been going to a local bakery but the cakes are dry so I decided to venture out to a new bakery. Worst mistake I have ever made!!! Not something I would pay even 50.00 for. This cake looked like something a 3yr old would have put together with play-doh and that might even look nicer than what I got. The whole experience was a disaster. I placed my order but forgot the topper so I went back a few days later and they couldn’t find my order. Then went back the next week to pay for the balance and again, they couldn’t find my order. Then comes the pick up… eeeek! What a DISASTER!!! the fondant was done horribly. It was supposed to look like brick but what I got was uneven rectangles. Looked like the wall was sliding down. Some were overlapping and I also got hair in my cake. Great! oh then she tried to say I told you it wouldn’t look good. Really? I think that was a one sided conversation. I had wanted it to be done in piping and she said that it wouldn’t look good and I should go with fondant so it will be nicer and cleaner. So I did what she recommended because she has the experience after all. Not me. Anyway, if you purchase your cake here… good luck. Don’t get too complicated with the design. If you want plain frosting with no design you could possibly take a chance. Even then I wouldn’t. My cake was lopsided and lumpy. Good luck!
