So after searching for the boots I’ve worn for 5 years. I found them. Ok somewhat. I have bought the same type of boots from Red Wings 3 times. Then last year in Midland I bought a different type of boot. I was going to resole my old boots. That’s 110 dollars to do that. Yes it seems a bit high. But when the top is great and a new pair cost 220 dollars it doesn’t sound so bad. This place is a small store. It has what you need. Though sometimes might not have what you want. Like my size. Ok I have a big foot. I’m tall. So they ordered it so I could try it on. I was excited and at the same time not sure if this would be like old boots. But since I was here and had my old boots in the truck. I had them send them back and resole them. When you do that they fix what needs to be fixed. They will treat the leather and fix eyelets and replace your shoe laces also. I came back the next day. Same guy working. I’m going to assume that the same guy works here most of the time. He remembers me. He gets my boots. I’m a little unsure. They feel a bit softer. They feel like if they are broken in. He tells me its the same boot. Just not red anymore. But brown. They treat the leather. It still can be resoled and has the same one year guarantee as the rest. I’m looking at a brand new boot like the ones I like but in brown. I decide to buy them. So here goes another 220 dollars. As he rung me up. A asked if they still oil boots. He said yes. He told me that I can bring them every month and get them oiled. For free. They also give you laces when the originals go bad. So its not a bad trade. This store might not be big but it gives you big customer service. Something most places don’t know anything about.
