First off, I usually love Steve Madsen shoes! I bought a super cute low heel shoe for a wedding I was in. The sales associate at the time recommended a few shoes and was very helpful. I ended up buying a shoe she recommended. I decided to wear the shoe before the wedding to see how comfortable they were. About one hour into wearing the shoe, the bottom of the heel made a «pop» every time I took a step. Hearing that noise every single time you step, is incredibly annoying! I went back to the Steve Madden store less than a week after I purchased them to do an even exchange as the shoe I previously purchased was obviously damaged and falling apart. The stores associate was less than helpful. They store no longer had the color and size needed. She offered for me to drive over 1 hour to another location because I could not get the same pair shipped to me. I was more than happy to pay for shipping! She then refused to give me my money back and I am now left with $ 75 store credit, which can’t be used online. The associate kept saying she was helping me by allowing me to do an exchange, yet I needed a specific color for the wedding I am in and the store did not have the shoe available. I should not have been forced to receive store credit when I was given a defective shoe and was not able to do an even exchange due to the stores lack of inventory. I am more than dissatisfied with the service I received at this store.
