I recommend 100%! This is probably the best coffee place that Orcutt has ever seen. Very trendy and could one day compete with the coffee houses in San Luis Obispo with a few changes to the menu and increased skill in their latte art. The Turkey Pesto is very good and I have ordered it twice already. I forced myself to order something new one day, so I ordered the Waldorf Chicken which was dry and could use some tomato and lettuce. The Orcutt Mocha is very yummy and I recommend trying it. The lattes are also good. The Mutari Mocha is a intensely flavored chocolate drink if you are going for something with a lot of flavor.

Great hipster place in the middle of Orcutt! Good coffee and the food is even better. Try the avocado toast with egg. Two words: Delicious Candy!

Went for the first time last week after checking out their website. Very nice atmosphere. Décor and layout was appealing. Beer on tap was a definite plus. Service was ok. Staff seemed overwhelmed with less than a half full house, but friendly and helpful for the most part. More training/experience. Food was disappointing. We ordered the veggie wrap and avocado toast. At approximately $ 9 for toast my expectations were high. I received 2 small slices of untoasted/warmed up sourdough with perhaps a ¼ slice of avocado and one egg on top of each. That’s it. Very bland, uncreative and overpriced for an eatery looking for people to return. TOASTED pan au levain, garlic rub, herbed butter spread or coulis, fresh basil, etc. would be nice additions at minimal cost. It would justify the $ 9 price tag anyway. Food costs generally speaking should be in the ballpark of 20−30%. If you’re trying to keep it around 10% or less, well… good luck with that. Wrap was ok. Black beans AND canned garbanzos seem a bit over the top considering the unending amount of options that could possibly go into a veggie wrap. Sweet potato fries were.odd. I will probably go back and try something else next time. The place has potential. Service and food hopefully will match the décor at some point.

I so want to LOVE this place. And we keep giving it another try hoping it will be what it sets out to be. But it just falls slightly short. It has great ambience and décor. Drinks are handcrafted and it shows! BUT. But the cost, inconsistent service & food quality drags it down. Here’s the thing– if youre going to charge high prices(ex $ 8.75 for a salmon bagel with a scant amount of salmon) then everything better be on point and match in quality, flavor and appearance to that cost. Not only were they out of several items(teas, lavender lemonaid, and tortillas… who knows what else… Thats just what we tried ordering) by 10am on a Saturday morning, they also lost our ticket.(This happens and is an accident and i totally get that.) But we waited over 30minutes for food that wasnt even being made. When we brought to their attention that we hadnt received our food, they offered a coffee drink while we wait. But we had already ordered and nearly finished our drinks. So then a pastry was offered. Ok thats a kind gesture but we ordered over $ 20 worth of food and they offered us a $ 4 drink OR pastry. I worked in the restuarant scene for 8 years, and what would have been more appropriate is to comp the meal or offer a gift card for our next visit(an incentive to return). So again, lost tickets, being busy and slower at expediting food happens. The bummer is this has happened to us a few times already. So if you cant fix that root issue of organization and better training with work flow, then at the very least, have a plan of how to make things right when slip ups do occur. Especially when youre wanting to be more than the average coffee shop AND are charging customers prices suited for a better experience. The truth is this place has SO much potential. And there really isnt any other establishment comparable in our area. We are all rooting for their success. I just wish they would step it up in execution or lower their prices until they can actually provide the kind of coffee house experience they are charging for and wanting to provide.

Legit café in Orcutt. Very nice people, very nice atmosphere, pretty good espresso, and food that looks and tastes great. No excuse for a 29 minute wait for a bagel, but I forgive them as I’m sure they just forget and it was a fluke. I also thought it a little odd that they didn’t put self-serving water out for the customers, but whatever, it’s their call. These are very small criticisms of a place I very much dig. This will definitely be my getaway spot when I’m in Orcutt.

6 degrees is the best coffee shop in orcutt/Santa Maria, it’s not even comparable to Starbucks. They have so many options to customize their drinks, such as dairy free milk options. Their food is delicious as well. The only are they lack in is speediness. The drinks come out fairly quickly, but the food takes forever. It’s fine if you’re dining in, but I wouldn’t recommend a to-go order as it takes some time. Quality takes time! You must try the orcutt mocha it’s to die for

Sunday Brunch on Mother’s Day was phenomenal. I’m writing a new review because they’ve jumped beyond just a coffee shop with their food menu and presentation. Bottomless mimosas, chicken and waffles, traditional California burritos, and a chorizo platter was beyond our expectation. Great job to the management and staff who were both present and very accommodating!

This was a new find for my wife and I, but it’s already one of our favorite places to start the day or for a mid afternoon get away. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a very welcoming refuge for coffee and tea drinkers alike. Plenty of games and books so it’s family friendly. Numerous food and coffee selections with helpful pictures for those unfamiliar with the different combinations of coffee drinks. If you’re ever in Orcutt this coffee shop is a must for anyone seeking a nice comfortable getaway.

I don’t need to go to Starbucks anymore while in Orcutt. I had a mocha and it was great. Wonderful atmosphere and kind staff. I’m so happy this is here. I’ll be here every time I visit from LA. I know my coffee houses well and this place is great.

We came in early about 20 minutes after opening. The location is tucked away in the shopping center and it would be very easy to overlook but I am happy it exists! Seating is spread out and is high chair/bar seating/benches/low chairs. The interior is very eclectic but deliberately decorated. Loved the art on the walls, the chalk signs, adult coloring books and the overall rhythm of the place. Our barista was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, warm, and friendly. She recommended a few café favorites and was extremely accommodating when my husband made the mistake of ordering a breakfast burrito and forgot to ask for no onions. The redone burrito was out minutes later, sans onions. Her sky blue lipstick and winged eyeliner gave me life… fierce! The food and coffee itself was good, everything correct temperature and consistency. I will definitely come back but this time in the evening to try out some of the specialty drinks or beers and hear the live music.

I’m trying to think of my favorite food or drink at 6Degrees and I am at a loss. The problem is that EVERYTHING is amazing so each time I come in(which is at least weekly… sometimes more) I know I’m going to get great coffee and breakfast in the morning, an amazing lunch when I come in the afternoon with an iced tea, or the best hot dogs ever in the evening with a cold beer on tap. The Eggs Benedict is beyond spectacular, but the Tomato, Spinach and Feta Scramble gives all breakfasts a run for their money. Add a flavored latte to that and you are in heaven. When lunch rolls around, I’m always torn. The Guadalupe Taco Salad is fairly new to the menu and is the best taco salad you’ll ever get into your belly! I’d love to know their secret for making the Angus Ground Beef so darn flavorful and wonderful, but if they don’t tell me, I get to keep coming back to get it so I’m okay with now knowing. The freshness of the Heavenly Organic Chicken Salad with candied walnuts and dried cranberries always brings joy, especially when paired with a flavored fresh iced tea. I can’t even begin to tell you how you need to come in after 6:00 on Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights for the best hot dogs on the West Coast! Quality hot dogs on pretzel buns with a variety of toppings paired with cold beer or wine and you’ll know where your favorite hot spot is going to be from here on out. So, you talk about the food and it’s spectacular, but what really makes this place my «go to» spot in the whole Valley isn’t even a secret. The people who work here are genuine and full of joy. From first thing in the morning until they close at night there is laughter and happiness in every interaction you’ll have. They don’t employee coffee shop snobs, they employ the kind of people you really want to be around. I can’t say enough about them! I come here to work on my computer, to meet with friends, to celebrate events and to get my happy tank filled back up! If you haven’t been to 6Degrees(sorry about the cliché…) you are missing out!

The girlfriend has a knack for finding neat cafes for breakfast/brunch and this one surely is a delightful hipsterish café. We were there on Saturday at about noon and the place was humming. All the tables were occupied so we hung out for a bit and got 1 of the outside tables. I got the Café au lait with almond milk, which was delicious. She got the Vanilla latte with soy milk and a piece of the Hungarian short bread. I liked it because it was semi-sweet. I had the Tomato spinach feta scramble which hit the spot. I was bummed that they didn’t have egg whites. She had the Heavenly chicken salad. The food was delicious. We are definitely pleased with our 1st dining experience here.

Friendly service, awesome atmosphere and amazing food makes me come back over and over again. This place is a mix of a coffee shop/eatery/awesome place to stop and get a beer or some wine. The lunch and dinner menu are both great and some offerings change with the season. It’s no pricer than other places of this caliber. It’s a must try for sure. It’s a little taste of Downtown Austin, TX right here, and that is a high compliment.

We stopped in for coffee during a drive from Santa Barbara to the Bay, and I was initially wowed by the décor and menu. For a coffee shop in a strip mall, I wasn’t expecting the amount of hipster –there was even a barista with a very well styled mustache. I was delighted to see bulletproof coffee on the menu, and ordered a cup to go. I also got some oatmeal with all the toppings(brown sugar, golden raisins, cranberries, and almonds), also to go. The order came and the oatmeal was to go, but the coffee was not. Since I wanted to hit the road and start driving, I just drank the coffee pretty quickly so I could get on my way. That might have been a mistake, because I immediately felt really really ill. The oatmeal was fantastic. It was so creamy it tasted like hot rice pudding. Loved it! The to go bowl was huge and I only ate half — not sure if I got extra because it was to go and they just filled up the whole container or if the serving is always that generous. Overall, I thought 6 degrees was a cute place with a good menu, but the fact I felt sick for a few hours afterwards taints my review a bit. However, I’d be back for the oatmeal alone!
