The manager here is extremely rude(Robert Cambell) and treats his employees very very poorly. His ego has lead him to put his hands on customers(which I’ve witnessed). He’s just flat out a bad guy and I would not recommend shopping with someone who treats people with such disrespect. I’ve had plenty of bad customer experiences here and won’t be shopping with fishermans again, and if you have an issue with a return you won’t be happy. I would recommend any other tackle shop but this one, very rude people but it all starts with their store manager Robert Campbell. Stay away from FM they do not value their customers, and if you personally meet Robert Campbell do NOT let him bully you or be a jerk!

In Nov. I purchased an AR-15 rifle and was given a form to fill out for a free rebate of a mag loader. After reading the form which stated an expiration date in Sept. and pointing this out to the salesman, he assured me that the rebate period had been extended and it was OK. After filling out and mailing the paperwork the next day(Nov. 28), it was returned(Jan. 9) with the expiration date highlighted and a note stating the offer had expired, I returned to Fisherman’s Marine and questioned a salesman, then a manager hoping for help. They first offered me the same rebate form before realizing it was worthless. They still thought the offer had been extended but could offer no proof of, or reason why, they thought it had been extended. The manager finally told me that it was a manufacturers offer and they could do nothing. He asked if I wanted the rep’s phone number but didn’t offer to make the call himself. After being lied to, I wonder at what point this continuing effort to offer rebates becomes a case of fraud? Upon leaving I noticed the pad of rebate forms still on the counter waiting for the next customer, or should we say victim! Please don’t trust these people.

I purchased lamiglas fishing pole from Fisherman marine Oregon city a couple of days ago; went fishing a hooked 11lbs salmon but my fishing pole snapped in half and lost the fish. I attempted to take it take it back to fisherman and spoke to their supervisor(Robert) but they didn’t honor it and refused to returns or replacement. They even want to charge another $ 15 for them to ship my fishing pole to Lamiglas to have it repair or replace. Not a happy guy right now. Please do yourself a big favorite and please be extra careful before you purchase anything from these store. Go to sportsman warehouse, I always have positive outcome with sportsman.

good selection, prices on guns are reasonable, nice staff. Did have someone in fishing just not want to help, everyone else has been nice, and if they didn’t have it, had answers where to go.

Service can be a little hit or miss(waiting forever to get someone’s attention) but this is hands down the best fishing supply store. The gun selection(and hunting) doesn’t hold a candle to Sportsman’s but that’s probably why the call it Fisherman’s. Everyday prices are reasonable and the advertised specials can be fantastic. Great selection. Still makes me a little sad every time I walk in and remember how cool it used to be when it was Larry’s. Hard to beat the excitement of walking into that store as a kid after watching«Fishing the West.» Oh, and don’t get me started about how much I miss Joe’s…

This store is becoming my go to for all my outdoor needs, their fishing supply is the best in town, there staff is very knowledgable, store is clean, and organized, i had done alot of research when i purchased my gun safe, i went to several other places, fishermans had the best quality, best priced, safes in town. i purchased the 24 gun winchester which i have been very happy with, i did order the door liner to store my handguns, the manager honored the old sale price, when i came in to purchase the safe it was close to closing time and the manager actually had his guys stay alittle later until i was finished with my decision so i had help loading it, great store!

They hire cantankerous guys to work the firearms counter and are not interested in selling firearms to people who reside outside of Oregon. The Hayden store will transfer a firearm to Washington but OC won’t. It’s unfortunate that the OC store isn’t as helpful as the Hayden store. I really miss Joe’s.

This is actually only the second time I’ve been in this store… First, let me say, this place is pretty awesome. You walk in and it’s just pretty much an outdoors-man wonderland. Wall to wall of everything outdoors related… Wait… There’s more? That’s right, a short jaunt down some stairs and there’s a-whole-nother floor of goodies!!! I do fish, and my family hunts… But ironically enough, every time I’ve ventured into this store it was in seek of some random, hard to find bit of hardware for a craft project or most recently, a better selection of feathers than can be found at the Michael’s next door. Both times Fisherman’s had exactly what I was looking for, and both times I received friendly pleasant service… Win-win I say! Definitely will be coming back, and I recommend checking it out if you or someone you know likes the great outdoors… They have lots of neat stuff!

Not too long ago, I noticed an item that was packaged in the wrong box for at least 25% less than it’s intended price. Before I was able to get to the cashier, one of the salesmen caught the error and tried to take the item back. I started to stink up the place a bit since I felt like I should have gotten out the door with the price as marked. In the end, the big cheese himself, El Presidente Dan Grogan came out to speak to me. And after a heart to heart conversation between us, Dan said they would honor the price on the box for me. YAY! Customer for life. Oh yeah, almost forgot. Fair prices, good selection, easy to find, right off I-205 at the O.C. Shopping center. And the customer service girls are always fun to joke with.

One of my favorite places to go to just look around. They have a lot of stuff in a small space. It’s a chain sporting goods store like a GI Joe’s or Dick’s only smaller. If you need a gun safe, they have a small selection of fire rated ones for around $ 1000. They also carry accessories including sport stocks for a Ruger 22. If you need a benchmade knife, they can order just about any style or they may have the one you want in stock. They also have other brands in stock. The long gun selection is good and they carry everything from M4’s to standard shotguns. They also have a good selection of popular handguns and ammunition. The counter staff are very helpful and are real good at explaining things to people that are just getting started.

Now that Joe’s is gone, this has become a semi-regular spot for the fishermen and boys in my life. We’ve purchased our annual fishing license here the past few years and they have a large selection of fishing gear. However, unlike Joe’s, they have a pretty narrow focus. If you don’t catch or shoot it, you should probably head elsewhere for outdoor gear. While picking up our fishing license, we discovered that the State of Oregon has decided that manually powered boats over 10 feet in length now require annual permits. So all of my wake free friends are going to get a surprise this year. Damn, government! This is a distinctly bare bones, dare I say, male oriented space. The staff is knowledgeable, but I’ve also found them a bit brusque compared to other outdoor stores. I recently discovered Wholesale Sports on 82nd which has much broader appeal and better customer service. There is much more for the whole family at that store. Fisherman’s has a pretty limited selection, but if they stock what you want, they have competitive pricing.

Totally into Fisherman’s. It’s simple. Friendly, somewhat knowledgeable, and helpful staff. If someone doesn’t know what you need to know, they’ll find someone that does. They have used guns, new guns, and a decent amount of accessories. More outdoors oriented firearm stuff than tactical. If you’re into that sort of thing. They have safes, I think Surefire lights, and a decent selection of cases for guns. I’ve never bought ammo or a firearm from them so I don’t know how competitive they are. I do know that their used gun prices are pretty much on par with what they should be. Also, a good variety for how much space they have for just firearms. Ugh I’m tired. I’m come back and edit some more into this when I’m a bit more coherent.
