Nice restaurant kind of smallish with a great selection of wine and a neat wine closet you can purchase from. We ordered the calamari light, tender and crispy just the way it should be. Brie and garlic tasty, warm and bubbly just right. Fish & chips big portion of lightly battered cod with very little effort it fell apart and was cooked perfect but the chips dam those we could eat everyday house made, crispy great flavor. Owner seemed very nice, server needs a little polish but nice guy. Overall if we lived there we would be back if we ever find ourselves in Oregon city again yes we will be back.

Loved it. New to Oregon City, we were looking for a place for a quick bite and a glass of wine, saw the sign and decided to try it. Keep in mind — this was a Wednesday eve, and it was at closing time! We were welcomed in, told no worries about the time, there were still other customers. Sat at the bar, bartender super nice. Met the owner, again super nice. Ravioli was awesome, Wine was great, good menu, price is «normal» compared to rest of Portland area. Not understanding some of the other reviews, if you don’t think the portions are large enough maybe you should eat at buffet line? We were VERY happy, I will be back in this Sunday. Cheers all!

I’m really happy this place exists in downtown Oregon City. It’s a charming restaurant that is suitable for dinner with your parents or for grabbing happy hour and tapas with friends. I recently came for an early dinner and at that hour, I’d say the ambiance skewed more casual than intimate partly because of the volume of the background music. Either way, it’s an inviting space with exposed brick walls, high ceilings, natural light, and wooden tables and chairs. The food at Nebbiolo is really good. Whether you’re an omnivore or vegetarian, there are options for everyone. The same can be said about the drink menu. Wine, beer, cocktails — your pick. If you need a recommendation, I really enjoyed the fish and chips. The pieces of cod were hearty and the batter was slightly crunchy and made with an IPA from a local brewery, Feckin. Truly a one spot fits all kind of place!

What a find! Delightful restaurant in a convenient location, with good service and a nice atmosphere. Each of our 5 dishes were prepared perfectly with quality ingredients. We travel the world in search of wonderful food, and we found it here recently. Their craft cocktails were unique as well, especially the four barrel bourbon. We’ll be back soon, and appreciate the warm welcome and solid food — both would be hard to improve upon. And please stop picking on one of the owners — it’s impolite. We found him personable and passionate about food and cocktail creations. From Bend, it’s a three hour drive but we’ll make it a point to return to Nebbiolo soon. Just a delightful meal, at a very fair price in a convenient location with warm service — doesn’t get much better than this. Thank you

Finally a true Portland foodie restaurant in Oregon City! Exquisite wine and excellent menu with family run small town charm! Yvette, Belle, Sarah and the other family(true & sudo) are so friendly, and most importantly true to their authentic hospitality and Spanish/Italian cooking. We will definitely be back on a regular basis to enjoy this gourmet menu and welcoming community!

A common theme of many of the reviews for this Restaurant are concerned with the behavior of one of the owners. I’ve met Joe and Evette and can tell you they are nice people, hard working, and as with most small business owners, stressed. It’s a common thread in this world. But my review is not to defend them against other people who have had very authentic experiences. The last time I was at Nebbiolo I had lunch. It’s been a long time. The food was good. It was overpriced. And it was confusing at the time — not knowing if I should seat myself, order at the bar or wait for a wait staff person. I’m hoping they’ve got it all together now. The only reason I won’t go back is I checked out the menu and although the items listed are classy, I can’t afford it. Seriously. And for downtown Oregon City I have to concur that this restaurant would better be suited in the Pearl or in Lake O.

It was cute looking in, however as we opened the door we were hit with a very overwhelming bad seafood smell. I almost suggested we go somewhere else. However, after 10 – 15 minutes, I think my nose acclimated, but I definitely didn’t order the fish. The service was confusing, we were asked by three people what drinks we’d like to get started, then we could only get the attention of one who kept saying let me tell your server. The olives were great, as was the chicken and roasted Brussels sprouts. Not sure if I would visit again, with so many other places to try.

Overall we had a great night here. Bonus surprise because they carried the Feckin beer my husband loves and we bought 4 bottles on our way out. This place has a very casual atmosphere with finer dining food. I was a little disappointed with the waitress, my husband asked for beer and she told him they only had one on tap but didn’t mention the very large selection of beer they had in their case. I ordered a wine flight and asked for suggestions(it was our first time here) and she sort of just shrugged and said everything is good. She was friendly, but not much else. Garlic Brie 10⁄10: creamy and delicious, perfectly toasted bread Calamari 9⁄10: nothing unusual but it was good calamari Lamb chop 10⁄10: my husband ordered this dish and said he could have eaten 2, it was delicious and the lamb was cooked perfectly Salmon w mushroom risotto 10⁄10: this is one of the best meals I have had in my entire life. The risotto was cooked perfectly and the salmon was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was beyond delicious They didn’t have too much for dessert, pre made stuff you select out of the case but it was tasty. We had the bread pudding and chocolate mousse. Both were good not super impressive dessert in size or in flavor but good. Overall I thought this was an awesome value and great food. Not cheap eats but not breaking the bank, we payed $ 160 with tip and 3 drink each. I tried about 5 wines that night and they were all ones I’d purchase by bottle. Was also pretty quiet and not crowded on a Saturday night. We will for sure be returning!

The three of us tried this place the day after Thanksgiving. Great selection of wine(and beer — c’mon this is Portland after all) Food was fantastic even though the place was nearly empty. This is an atypical place in that it’s first and foremost a wine bar but has very good restaurant quality food — with a specials board too!

This place is great. Super adorable on the inside with a great vibe and feel. The food is delicious, the wine selection is extensive, and the service is fantastic. I went here for a girl’s night with a bunch of friends, and not only did they accommodate all 10 of us, they provided us with amazing service despite the large party. We got to try various wines prior to ordering a glass without any hesitation too! I’ve been to places where the servers roll their eyes when you ask for a taste test but not here!!! I would absolutely come here again!!!

Surprisingly good food, good wine selection and having live music is a definite plus. I just wouldn’t have expected such good food at a wine bar, typically you get some munchies or nibbles and call it a day. Or at some places you get a «dinner» priced entrée — that’s «snack» sized. This was neither — good price, for good portion, of good food.

I went here on a Tuesday evening because Mi Familia wasn’t open. We’ve had OK service here before. We were seated at the bar and it took over 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. I tried a wine that it turned out I loved but instead of buying the bottle for $ 30 there thought I’d see if I could find it at a store on my way home. We tried to order an appetizer and they were all out of what we wanted. Bummer. I could see the guy was stressed out but the ladies at the bar next to us were getting better service than my husband and myself, so we paid or tan and left. Oh. I found that bottle of wine I loved at Fred Meyer for $ 8.50! That’s how much I paid for my glass. Maybe I’m just cheap, but this place wasn’t worth what I spent and I love Oregon City businesses as I’ve lived here my entire life and want to keep my money here but next time if Mi Familia isn’t open I’ll be going elsewhere.

What a lovely evening. Nebbiolo has amazing ambiance. Soft warm wood, sensual colors and a gentleman playing the piano in a unintrusive way. There is wine everywhere but they also have a good selection of spirits. I have been to Nebbiolo and found that the food was good but underseasoned. Not so this time around. Everything was well seasoned. The food portions are traditionally small. This is not a problem as long as you know before hand. If you are expecting large portions for the price you see you will be disappointed. Nebbiolo is pretty expensive but I was not offended by the price this time around because the food was worth the cost. We had the Formaggio, the Salumi, the Fungi, the Scampi, and the Crème Brulee. I love the selection of cheese they offer on the Formaggio plate. It contains one of my favorite goat cheeses, aged with red wine and often called the«drunken goat» cheese. Everything tasted wonderful after coming up to complete room temperature. They had a aged gouda too that was delicious. Overall I was not too impressed with the Salumi. The selection was okay but they were sliced paper thin and were poorly presented. I prefer my Salumi thin, but the yummy fat starts to melt off when sliced too thin. The Fungi was a pile of braised whole mushrooms with a sprig of rosemary. There was a pool of olive oil and brown bits at the bottom of the small bowl and that was divine, just begging to have bread dipped in it! The prawns had amazing flavor but were overcooked. I am having a very hard time finding a restaurant that will serve properly cooked prawns. I expect it from a Italian bistro. The Crème Brulee was perfect, no complaints, they prepared it well. The portions here are small but tasty. It is a style of service that is specific and should be considered before dinning here. If you do not like tapas and smaller entrees, plan on ordering more food and having to pay more. Seriously stop by when they are not crowded(which they are especially on the weekends) for a glass of wine served properly and a small, delicious bite. Nebbiolo offers up a modern old-world style experience. Plenty of good energy, nice service and tasty treats.

Everything we ate was scrumptious! Cannot stress enough how fresh and unique and delicious was every morsel. The cold crab ceviche is particularly good, and their home made bread melts in the mouth — easily the most surprising, rich, delicate, sublime restaurant bread we’ve ever eaten. Ambience is elegant, mellow and relaxed with lovely lighting and music. Service is personal. Owners are delighted to be there. Pricey, but not excessively so, and worth it. A real experience. Very romantic.
