Maple Garden II

Was waiting on a thrift store to open back up, yes I’m like that, and decided to check it out. Got some food to go and had a sapporo while I waited. Girl behind the counter we very nice and did not make me feel unwelcome or weird for sitting by myself with a beer while I waited for my food. Thank you for not judging! Bathrooms are clean, restaurant décor is very nice and modern. Staff was friendly but not pushy, and the food was yum! I will go back.

Great food and excellent service. The staff is all family and they are very friendly. They make the effort to learn your name and greet you when you come in. Nice touch. It is nicely decorated, clean and has nice atmosphere with music playing softly. There are both booths nd tables to choose from. My wife and I enjoy dining here.

We do like this place. Family run, clean and attractive interior. Reasonable prices. But… Food is mediocre I’m sorry to say. If you are used to top notch Chinese in the city it’s easily disappointing… For example, mushrooms are all button (at least not canned like Uncle Chongs also here in Orland), shrimp is over cooked, veggie dishes are overwhelmed by things like celery and canned items, their scallops are smaller than water chestnuts, soups all seem to have the same base, sauces if you come after the very beginning of each meal service seem to all taste the same (maybe they use the same wok for all?), chow mein and fried rice are so boring even though they are so easy to make! I’m not sure why all this is. I think the people of Orland would appreciate a little more flavor. Yet the people are so nice, service is great, and I so want them to do well! My favorite dish is spicy crispy calamari appetizer.

I was bit worrisome about trying Chinese food in Orland, but to my surprise this was actually very delicious. I ordered beef broccoli with chow mein. The chow mein was good and the meat in the beef broccoli was very good too. The only thing was that there’s a bit too much sauce on the beef broccoli and it was a bit on the salty side.

My favorite is the «Happy Family» where you get a plateful of samplers of many delicious items. The chow mein is excellent. Mae and her family always provide prompt and friendly service.

This place is really amazing. Authentic Chinese food that is delicious. With a wide variety of specialties we ordered honey walnut shrimp, pork with garlic sauce, house fried rice and appetizers. We had never been there before and we’re not disappointed.
Mae, our waitress, was engaging, endearing and funny.
All in all a great experience with good pricing, nice ambiance and comfortable seating.

Yum! Good food, Great service, good prices. Delicious Chinese food that they cook specially for me due to an allergy. .Great people, famuly owned restaurant.. Best authentic Chinese restaurant around! You’ll love it too!

Best place in town for Chinese food! This restaurant is always clean and the service is excellent when I am here. The prices are super reasonable, 7.99 at lunch and you get soup, appetizer, rice and chow mein and an entrée. The owners are very sweet. I started with them when they were in willows way back in the day and the quality is still superior. Definitely something to check out!

This place was great. We ended up here after it seemed to be the only place that was open. We are from out of town and were headed home. This place is good for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike. All the food was great, most especially the vegetable Mushu with the real Chinese pancakes.
The place was really quiet when we came in, there were about four other families in there but nobody seemed to be talking, so we thought our family with two toddlers might be too loud. Our waitress was really nice and even brought our kids fortune cookies while they were waiting.
In a nutshell, fantastic food, fantastic service. We will definitely stop here again if we ever come back through town. I’ve had Chinese food in a lot of major cities from San Francisco to Washington DC, and this is one of the best places I’ve ever eaten.
What we ordered: fried rice, vegetable moo shu, vegetable chow mein, egg drop soup, cream cheese wonton, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, and chicken chow mein.

This is a pleasant place to dine. The food is very good. Love the house special chowmein, general chicken, and the honey walnut prawns. They serve beer and wine, as well as the usuals beverages. Service can sometimes be a little slow, but not terrible. Dining room is always clean and comfortable. We have eaten here several times and will continue to. They also do take — out.

Just finished dinner at this place.
1. Extremely poor service (two other couples in the restaraunt.)
2. Small portions
3. Taste borderline.
Guess it adds up to us never visiting them again.
