Menu standard. Seemed mainly South Indian to me, with a little Goan for good measure. Prepared well, presented well. Lacked seasoning but palatable. I got veg samosas, tandoori mixed grill and keema naan, all of which were good

My Husband and I ate here in February 2016 and I have to say it was one of the best Indian meals we have had since moving to the States 15 years ago. We used to eat Indian food all the time in England and have not been able to find a good restaurant until now. The service was great, food was amazing and the waiters were good. we will definitely be visiting again. Cindy and Dennis Maher

Went to Orlando for the weekend and found an Indian food restaurant near our area. We were very surprised! The food was incredible and the plce was very nice. Nilesh, the manager gave us a few reservations and we tried the Samosa Chat, lamb korma, and chicken kadahai. Everything was incredibly good and Nilesh was very helpful. I only wish this was closer to home so ai could come more often

If you want a lovely Indian meal which is affordable. This is the place. Being English we enjoy a good curry. I always walk away satisfied.

A-sheer-wad of butter! We ate here for dinner, food was decent but it was extremely unhealthy and definitely gave our whole family food comas after the meal. There were a good amount of vegetarian options and unique ones like lababdar paneer and narisigi potatoes. If you want really unhealthy Indian food this is the place.

Now that I work close to the area, Aashirwad has become one of our go-to places for lunch. It also means that I have only tried their lunch buffet offerings. They have a pretty decent selection which usually includes a pretty good portion for those who are meat-averse. The area for grabbing your food is pretty tight, so it can be a little tricky during the really busy lunch times, but not unmanageable. They provide Naan bread to go with your meal, and they’re quite possibly some of the best I’ve had in town. The lunch buffet food itself is good, but not great. The flavors tend to be a little milder than I’d like, but it makes sense in order to ensure they accommodate all their customers. This also means that it is a good place to slowly introduce anyone to the wonders of Indian food. Service is pretty standard, and they do allow you to call ahead when going with a larger group than normal for lunch. But because of the tiny buffet space and potentially long line, I do recommend going at a time that is somewhat offset from the usual lunch hour.

They don’t have samosa for buffet, and they only have regular plain naan… I ordered separately for veggie samosa and garlic naan. They are okay but not amazing. Mom is not into Indian food so we had two plates and then left.(Maybe it’s buffet time so the separate order came very slowly) Come here for a quick Indian lunch if you’d like!

This restaurant has such a nice appearance so I was disappointed when I felt something touch my foot to find crinkled used napkins on the ground just tucked away and to find sauces still smeared on the table even though it was set up before we arrived. The customer service was nice could’ve been more organized and proper but the workers were all friendly. The food was superb, portions were pretty big and I had well over enough to take home and was so full. I brought along a friend who was in India for a mission trip and she said the food reminded her of her stay in India. Which to me is a huge plus! Its a little on the pricey side but i think it was worth it for all of the food I received. Really hope other aspects of this restaurant change when I visit again.

Am visiting Orlando from MD, Was at this restaurant for dinner yesterday. Very happy that we went there to eat after reading online reviews. Got CTM and Lamb roganjosh, both were very tasty, ctm was great. Naans were perfect. Service was fast inspite of almost full house at 8pm. Our waiter was friendly. I will go there again if time permits. What i did not like. They should update their name boards at the strip mall entrances. Mango Lassi was warm, i guess they made it just then, but not a big deal.

This review will be highlighting the lunch buffet, which is a fantastic value for fresh and flavorful food. You know a place is going to be good when your Indian neighbors take you there to experience their food. We arrived, and the staff was courteous and quick to seat our large group. They kept the delicious naan bread coming, and the drinks filled to help combat some of the spicier dishes. The buffet did not look large at first, and I am pleased to report that they chose to go quality over quantity. Each dish in uniquely flavored, fresh, and amazing. There is plenty to eat if you go the vegetarian route, and a variety of meat dishes for someone like myself. The spiciness of each dish could be dialed up by adding sauces of your choice, which is great since it allowed kids to not get overwhelmed by hot dishes. The chicken tikka massala was phenomenal, and the tandoori chicken had an amazing amount of spice and flavor just baked in. The wait staff said that each dish is made fresh daily, and it showed through with each bite I enjoyed. Overall, and amazing price for an amazing lunch, and a great way to sample a selection of great Indian dishes to find what you like. The fact that they are tucked away on International Drive near the outlet mall makes it a great place to get away from the tourist trap.

Came to this restaurant for the first time with my family while our stay in Orlando. I googled«Indian restaurants near me» and this place popped up. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and directed straight to our table. We sat down and looked at the menu for a few minutes, after a few minutes the waiter came by and asked what we wanted to drink and my brother in law asked for a beer(which the waiter forgot to bring) and while waiting tirelessly finally our food arrived. The portions were very very small not at all something that could be shared. And the waiters did not ask before taking our food. While I had gone away to use the restroom I came back and the food I was not finished eating they took to trash…

I wish Unilocal would allow half stars. This is a solid 2.5 experience. Since I feel it’s unfair to lower their rating to 2, we are going to boost it to 3. I went for the lunch buffet to get an idea of what they were all about. The good: –The Saag Paneer was near perfect. Better than some of my most favorite Indian restaurants. –The Kidney Bean dish was incredibly flavorful. –Mango Chutney was pretty good. –Fair price. The not so good: –Chicken Tikka Masala was just ok. Not great. Not terrible, just ok. Chicken quality seemed above average though, so that’s good. –Chicken Tandoor was somehow spicy and bland at that the same time. Bland is not a word I want to come to mind when eating Indian cuisine. –Cabbage dish was just ok. –Naan was… ok. The really not so good: –Table was dirty. Dishes weren’t exactly clean. Small, and I mean super small, selection of dishes. –Chai was sort of pointless.(Doesn’t come with buffet.) –Garlic naan costs extra. The details: Alright, let’s get into it. I wanted to make sure that I really based my review of this place off its own merits and strengths/weaknesses and not in comparison to the embarassing amount of Indian restaurants I’ve eaten my way through in Los Angeles, Berkeley, and San Francisco. So to be fair, I still stand by the solid 2.5 rating. If I WERE to compare them to my West Coast options, well, the rating would go down to 2 and that would be generous. What does that mean exactly? They aren’t great, but they aren’t terrible either. Kind of like their Chicken Tikka masala. Dirty dishes and tables I can deal with. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, especially Indian food, has been served in establishments that would make Mr. Clean cringe. Those things only become a deterrent when the food isn’t up to par. With the exception of the previously mentioned Saag Paneer and Kidney Bean dishes, it just didn’t make the cut. The rest of Orlando doesn’t seem to mind though, so more power to them. I won’t be dining in again, though I may order some of that Saag to go from time to time…

We came for the recommended buffet, but they don’t serve this for dinner. The staff is very friendly and the décor is nice. The food is very good and tasty and the size of the main dishes is good. The Samosa is very good and a bit spicy, but even my children loved it. The Mango ice cream is excellent and wonderful.

I went to dinner for the first time, typically it is lunch hour. I was surprised to see that they didn’t have a dinner buffet, I had been looking forward to the variety and not having to choose… Dinner was fabulous! We were a party of 5 and we shared the tandoori chicken, Lamb Korma, Vegetable Korma and Coconut Curry Shrimp! Lots of garlic Naan! So so good! The reason for a 4 star and not 5 is that upon receiving our bill it was not pointed out that there was already a 15%gratuity added. That’s not cool

After spending time celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday at Fun Spot, the wife and I were ready to get something to eat before she hits the books. Since we don’t come to this part of town a whole lot I pulled up my bookmark list and my wife was in the mood for Indian food. Aashiward Indian Restaurant came up and several people I know gave it some good reviews. When we arrived, the place had just opened and we were the first to arrive. My wife went to wash up and I sat down to wait my turn. I immediately noticed that the plate in front of me was not clean and inspected my wife’s plate only to find it was also dirty. The waiter and my wife arrived at the same time and I said to my wife… Let’s go! I will give them a second chance ONLY because I have heard such great things about their food BUT if I sit down to a dirty plate AGAIN and I will never return… We all have an off day and I will chalk this up to a off day for NOW…

This was one of the better buffets I have been to in Orlando. Considering how it looks from the outside you would never know what wonders are within. The décor is modern with little Indian touches. Once you’re seated, which the booths are very comfortable, you are greeted with drinks and Naan. The buffet is small, but well done. Hosting one of my favorites, Chicken Tiki Marsala. Dipping it with the Naan, just makes my day completely. I would easily go back here.

Good price and good food! I went there on weekday. Pretty crowded. A clean restaurant with only male waiters. Lunch buffet is $ 10 – 15 included a tip. Some kinds of sauces. i really like their yogurt one. Salads are fresh. Cut oranges didn’t look good. It seemed like they prepared the a long time a go. Curries and 2 kinds of rices are all tasty. Butter chicken, vegetarian with paneer, etc… Rice pudding is super delicious. I ate as much as I couldn’t drive. There are many Indian customers, which means this restaurant is a really good one eh!?!

A very good lunch buffet into the world of Indian food. Most of the regular Indian favorites were there within the buffet area. A mix of curries(vegetable and meat) and of course, tandoori chicken. The price is real fair too, it was $ 8.95 per person for the lunch buffet. The waiters bring fresh naan for the table also. Definitely a good lunch spot, looking to come back again.
