Awesome food and atmosphere at a great price. We’ve enjoyed everything from pad thai to sushi and drinks! Highly recommended :)

There’s no doubt that time has been kind to Bikkuri. I ate there regularly when they were a small, fluorescent-lit corner corner shop with counter service, a handful of tables, christmas tree lights in the window, and $ 6 sushi rolls presented in a styrofoam box. And now it’s twice the size, has actual decorations, a wait staff, and… well, a wait. Sadly, I’ve only been to this incarnation of Bikkuri a couple of times because while time may have been kind to the restaurant, I never found that the same could be said for the food. This last visit was no exception. We started with the«Jackie Rangoons» which were supposed to be similar to crab rangoons but with shrimp. They bore little resemblance to crab rangoons visually or in flavor, and there were only two of them. We didn’t love them. Since it was happy hour and they were offering 2-for-1 drinks from the happy hour menu, we each ordered a drink. The happy hour selection looks great at first, but upon closer inspection almost everything in the cocktail/martini section is some variation of a flavored vodka and a juice. They definitely lean toward an overly sweet profile here. The only option that looked good to me was a dirty martini, but the waiter said they couldn’t make one today. So I quickly picked something else called the AWOL, which ended up being kind of disgusting. The deal is, like most places with a 2-for-1 special, you get your first drink and when you’re close to finishing it, the waiter will put the order in for the second one. Since the last thing I wanted was another one of these things, I asked if I could select a different one for my second drink. Nope. Despite the fact that they are all the same price on the happy hour menu, I was not allowed to change the second one to something that might not make me throw up in my mouth. All I could get was the exact same drink. Fine, dammit. The sushi came out with one roll incorrect. The waiter realized that the right one was still sitting out waiting to be picked up, so he brought it over and let us keep the wrong one, which was nice. The Hawaiian Roll and whatever that wrong roll was were probably the two favorites of the evening, and the Living Color and Sweet Rainbow Rolls were pretty okay. The spicy conch roll was disappointing, with so little conch in there that you could easily mistake it for a vegetarian roll. They’re clearly doing something right, because they tend to be pretty busy. But in terms of sushi quality, there are half a dozen sushi restaurants in the area that I’d prefer off the top of my head. Double that if I had 5 minutes to think about it. We plan on returning one more time to see what the non-sushi menu has to offer, but I don’t really see us returning for the sushi.

I wasn’t feeling this place, unfortunately. I guess the server in the front was busy because he didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked through the front door. Even though there was barely anyone in the restaurant, we waited a few minutes before he even said anything to us. Finally, he led us to a table. He seem to be bothered by us. Luckily, our waiter was a very, very sweet kid. I ordered the volcano roll. It didn’t taste fresh and it had an almost rubbery texture. Maybe, I just ordered the wrong thing. Who knows? I guess the appeal of this place is sitting next to the window overlooking Colonial Dr.

I haven’t been here since they closed downstairs, so I wasn’t exactly sure where to go. I followed the signs upstairs, but I still wasn’t sure which direction to go. I hesitantly entered an open door and the white guy inside asked where I was going… but not in a helpful way. It was more condescending. He proceeded to lead us to a table. I asked him if they still owned the downstairs area and he inconspicuously shook his head. We were seated and it took a while for someone to take our drink orders, but the server, a nice Asian guy with glasses and a friendly smile, finally came by. He spent enough time with us. He didn’t hover nor, was he M.I.A. at any point. There were so many options, it took a moment for me to choose. The pictures made the salads look small, so I didn’t order one, but my sister ordered the Salmon Ginger Salad. It was bigger than the picture made it seem. I ordered a roll that did not have rice and was wrapped in cucumber. I wish I got the name of it, but I didn’t. It also had orange wedges and was drizzled with ponzu. My roll was really fresh and good. It only had 4 pieces, but it was filling. I also ordered fresh uni. The prices were not as good for the value of the dishes. Good thing I had a gift certificate. I might return, but definitely not without another gift certificate.

They’ve seen better days. Used to be good but we’ve had enough Meh experiences to warrant this review. The only time we come now is when our out of town friends insist on it but from here on out, we’ll not be joining them. There’s so many choices nearby, why? With this last visit, the front of house was completely without hospitality while by contrast our server was sweet and attentive, to give credit where credit’s due. It was also way too warm in there and we probably should have left for that alone; definitely uncomfortable until we were acclimated. All of our food was dumped at the same time, and was so fast, there’s no way our sushi could have been fresh. I mean, I could have went to Publix for that. And why order apps if you’re going to do that? Clear soup wasn’t clear. Sushi was stuck to the plates. Beer was sour. Totally Meh. I don’t see the value, either, they’re not exactly cheap and we could have better spent our money elsewhere.

Bikkuri offers a good value and nicely fills the middle of the road spot for sushi. It’s not super fancy but much better than grocery store sushi. I’ve dined in once and gotten take out twice and it’s always been fresh and good quality. While they do have specialty rolls, I like that they also offer regular standbys like a simple unagi roll. I’d consider Bukkuri my go to spot when I’m craving sushi.

I give this place 5 stars because the sushi is always on point. Some times the waitstaff can be pretty bitchy but maybe it’s because of the language barrier so that’s easily forgiven. Enjoyed it like always and will continue to return!

10 years of patronage and I’ve finally given up. Service is always hit-or-miss, either great or terrible. Our server rarely came by, the appetizers came out 1 minute before entreees and our empty beverage cups sat next to the edge of the table most of the night. Sushi was warm and bland, fried udon had so much grease on it that small pieces were floating on the plate.

The food is extremely good and reasonably priced. Portions are very large and the taste is authentic. Only reason I won’t give five starts is because the service was not so great. The food took very long to arrive and our waitress barely checked on our table. I had a rice noodle dish that was absolutely delicious and my friends tried the fried shrimp roll as well as the Crab Rangoon, which they also liked. Nice atmosphere, good beers on draft and decent food. I’ll most likely go back, just order carry out next time.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for about 4 years collectively… I relocated out of state so when I visit Orlando I like to go to my fave spots. I hate to say it, but the quality of sushi and experience here has declined immensely… when I visited today it was really hot inside(about 78⁄80) and there was a horrible stinch in the dining area. I was turned off but I loved my bikkuri and I wanted to give them another try… the sushi wasn’t very good. Tuna didn’t look fresh and didn’t have a nice bright red hue… I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Truly disappointed… if you’re gonna go get sushi in Orlando just go to Moon Fish or another Japanese restaurant in Dr. Phillips bc you might as well spend the difference for your quality. Sorry guys :(

I’ve been coming back here for years. Affordable, great presentation and selection. Sushi is always fresh! Nice atmosphere upstairs with a nice view from the Windows. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. Great lunch specials!

I hate to do this, when Bikkuri first opened, I was a regular. The sushi was good, and the prices were amazing. I used to order so much takeout I would often have to spread out the meal over an entire day. Times changed, and their quality dropped imo, and their prices jumped considerably. And after their expansion with an upstairs room, I have yet to qualify their service as anything more than acceptable on a good day. The only menu item I still return for is the vegetable tempura. On a good day, when it’s made fresh, it’s the best I’ve had in Orlando, the lotus root, the shredded carrots(why they can’t put more of this for the price they charge is beyond me), and the

I discovered this place over a year ago and have been coming ever since. It seems like it would be sketchy like a whole in the wall, but you can’t beat the prices, especially for the quality of the food. Their happy hour is amazing and I’m always pleasantly surprised every time I receive my bill. I love getting two glasses of wine for the price of one, edamame for an appetizer and one roll, sometimes two. As a vegetarian, they have plenty of options. The garlic roll, sweet potato roll and veggie roll are all delicious! The staff is also very quick to get your order and food out to you. It’s an awesome experience overall!

Bikkuri is always consistent. It’s a second floor eatery in what is considered the mills/50 district which was recently renovated to have a full service bar with added beer taps. I’ve been to this place numerous times and I’ve always been greeted warmly and sat swiftly. The wait staff is attentive and nurturing, especially with a menu that is, in essence, completely overbearing. Yet, I’ve always enjoyed every item I’ve tasted from. Pricing is cheap, probably the cheapest price for the best quality sushi in all of Orlando. They have this deal that I’ve only strayed away from several times. Dinner for 2 — $ 17.99 — a pre set menu where you choose one appetizer to share(samosas and veggie tempora are bomb!) and then you get your choice of two entrees from two lists: sushi or kitchen. You can get 2 rolls or 2 kitchen items(Fried Udon Noodles with chicken/tofu is my favorite) or 1 from each. Head my warning, they actually fill up 2 people. I myself ALWAYS order a second roll, and never finish everything. The olé«eyes are bigger then your stomach» saying in full effect. Their happy hour is no joke either, and each day they have different specials of random entrees and drinks. Definitely recommend for a cheap and playful date night!

This place does a really good deal for couples. You pay something like $ 17.99 and get to choose one selected appetizer and two entrees. I usually get a sweet potato roll(not on this offer) and it’s super good and cheap. I usually request it with no cream cheese as I’m not a fan. My boyfriend and I ordered the samosas(they give you SO many!) as well as another roll for him and Vegetable Fried Udon Noodle. It was reallyyyy good! All of the vegetables were super flavorful and I was fighting him for the last of the noodles. Bikkuri never disappoints :)

I’ve been coming here for about five or six years now. So far I’ve never been let down, everything I’ve tried here has been great! I wish I could remember the names of the rolls i like lol I usually just point at the pictures. But it’s great food at great prices!

Very nice wait staff. They greeted us from the start and were very attentive to our needs to the end. The food was awesome! Love the ramen which was delicious. Sushi was delicious as well. My wife was very impressed with the staff. Would recommend for anyone for a decent sushi experience. Price was fair.

Why have I never reviewed Bikkuri?! I am sure there enough. I love that walking up the stairs and into the space makes me feel like I’m in Japan. I’m not sure if this is because the first time I went they were having an animé movie night down the hall or if it feels like that to other people, I’ve also never been to Japan, but dang, it feels authentic and I like it! I usually order ginger salad or summer rolls and love both of them. I wish they would be consistent with their summer rolls sauces. Sometimes it’s peanut, sometimes it’s sweet and sour, sometimes it’s something else — the other night I got a dish with TWO sauces! Haha The sushi is great. I don’t know why but unfortunately most of their sushi menu doesn’t sound good to me so I tend to order the same stuff over and over again. The Pingo roll with shrimp, the Salmon Tropical roll, the Volcano and Volcano deluxe(no cream cheese, it’s a little overwhelming) are all good. I also order the combo with California roll/Philly roll/Spicy Tuna — it’s a lot for $ 8. Their prices are great! I usually spend about $ 20 here by myself but less when I’m with others because we split things. It’s definitely cheaper than other nearby spots. They recently expanded a tiny bit and added a bar area which is pretty nice. It’s not a sit down bar but it still looks good in the space. I’ve never seen anyone behind the bar there but maybe I just come on off days. Finally their hours are awesome! Midnight on a Thursday? 10:00 on a Sunday? It’s the stuff that dreams are made of! Combine all that with the fact that I can walk here from my house and it’s definitely a winning combo!

Was skeptical of this place since it was only rated 3 stars but a friend lives nearby and eats here frequently so we decided to come here. Plus, we were out late and this place was opened until 12 midnight. The restaurant is upstairs and was still pretty packed considering we got there past 10pm. We had a large party of 7 and they were able to accommodate us near the windows. My friend and I shared a Maki F combo(24 pieces of salmon avocado, tuna avocado and eel avocado) and a sr6 dynamite roll(8 pieces of spicy tuna with some other stuff). Our other friends also ordered sushi, chicken wings, seaweed salad and soup. Service was good. Waiter came to check up on us and made sure our water was filled. He also generously gave us each a little dish of spicy mayo and eel sauce(which other sushi joints usually charge extra for) which was really nice. The sushi tasted pretty fresh and everyone was happy with their food. My friend and I were stuffed after sharing our meal and it came out to be less than $ 20 each including tip so it was really worth it. We technically would’ve been full with just the combo plate too so our meal could’ve just cost us around $ 10 each which is very good pricing for sushi. Not amazing sushi but definitely worth the price. Too bad I live so far from here but I would come again if I’m ever in the area and craving sushi!

Super average. I would give it 3 stars had it not been for what I paid for extremely regular food. The one redeeming quality was their dumplings(.50 cents a piece), which were decent. The fried ones were better than the steamed. But everything that my husband and I ordered on and off the lunch special menu was very average. And some things were just not good. His sukiyaki with chicken was just alright. Nothing to write home about. My gyudon beef plate was eh. The beef was super fatty… SUPER fatty. So much so it almost made me gag while eating it. The thimbleful of miso soup in the corner made me laugh, the rice was plain, and the ginger dressing was just okay. The fried veggies were super oily but at least they were good. I could only eat one though because of how full the fried food made me feel. My hubby also ordered 2 for 1 pina coladas. Save your money. They were very watered down with ice and loads of pineapple juice. Not a great piña colada at all. Applebees made this piña colada look like a joke… and that’s saying something. Maybe we should have just come for happy hour instead… but I wasn’t too impressed. Don’t think we’ll be coming back.
