Bombshell’s Tavern

Great Music Venue. Love seeing all of the great bands and the drinks are by far, the best prices in WinterPark. I have many friends here and consider all of the employees family. 5 stars!
Despite the bad reviews, it’s mostly from ex employees or people who were kicked out. They do not tolerate drama. Nor crackhead’s or the People who only come in expecting free drinks. Really people.. You can’t do that. it’s a business. Restaurants don’t feed for free either.
If you are not one one the people I referred to above, please give it another shot. There were some bad eggs as employees. They are gone and service has emproved greatly since. As far as the Smoking. They do alow it. But only up front. When bands are in the back, There is no smoking aloud. If you are a non smoker, I can see why you had issues. However, Don’t forget, You are in a bar. expect that. All of you whom also had an issue. Try it again. The service is way better now.

Surprisingly bigger and cleaner than what I was expecting looking from the outside. It felt like a tavern but not gross. You do come out with the stench of smoke and cigarets though lol

It’s dark, smokey, and filled with locals who although might be a tad off are certainly nice enough. It wasn’t hard to make new chat friends in this place. We went to hear music and we were not disappointed in this intimate venue. The one thing that was REALLY LACKING was the service at the bar. The one waitress was a doll but the others moved like they were on thorazine. I actually waited fifteen minutes to be acknowledged by the bar tender even though I was standing RIGHT AT THE BAR. I tipped well hoping that would change things when I went up for next drink but it didn’t. We all stood in line for a coon’s age while the bar tender took an exceedingly long time to open Barf Light and hand it over to some thirty slob with a thin wallet and zero taste in beer.
One of the reviewers mentioned they serve food. Um, no. They do not and based on their impossibly slow service you would have to wait to until your retirement to actually eat it. I would have rated this place higher were it not for the less than enthusiastic bar staff who lumbered about with a funereal pall on their faces.

This is definitely a dive bar so you have to go in with that expectation. Super smokey. They were out of Captain Morgan and had no spiced rum. The younger female bartender was rude which is why I’m only giving it 2 stars. I’m cool with a dive bar but there’s no excuse for running out of a staple or rude service.

Stopped here to see a few bands play recently. Upon arrival, the neighborhood and area is definitely a little run down. The outside of the building and parking lot were a mess. Parking was pretty limited and getting out of lot was a chore. This is a dive bar. That being said, I like a good dive bar at times. The décor inside is pretty random, kind of like a white trash collage. There’s smoking allowed so the places reeks of cigarettes. Random mismatched furniture and art. They have a pretty good beer bottle selection. The front area also houses two pool tables. There’s a separate room dedicated for live shows with a small stage and bar area (no bartender there however) I will say the acoustics were pretty good. Outside of the younger crowd obviously there for the show– the older locals mixed in were pretty scary. I can’t ever see myself going to this bar again outside of going to see a particular band.
