Boss Nightclub

I went to Boss on a Friday night and had a really good time. The dj and music were good and there were free drinks for ladies until 12. They have a really cool setup with plenty of bars and a good sized dance floor. Boss also had a really great setup for VIP — surrounding the club with elevated booths/​tables. The club also appears to have just redone their bathrooms so that is always a plus when going out! The fishtanks and TVs give a nice flair … and did I mention the liquid bar?! I would definitely go back.

I didn’t really care for this place! DJ kept interrupting the songs to give shout outs and stuff like that! I went here twice on my last trip to Orlando. And both times I was told that my drink cost $ 7.00. But then when I handed them my card I was only charged $ 5.00. So to me, that means that the bartenders lie about the cost of drinks in hopes of getting more tips. I don’t know if they do that for everyone who pays cash or just the people who don’t care about dressing up to go dancing. But it really pissed me off. Its like they judged me and decided that I wouldn’t tip, so they decided to charge me extra. I payed with a card and tipped more than 50% way more than they «thought» they could get out of me. Just know that the people who work here are shady.

This is my first review of a night club so elephant (or is it bear?) with me here. The only reason I am even giving this place the precious time of my delicate and extremely talented fingers in typing a review is because after being there once, I felt compelled to write one.
Beware: The following review presented below will provide my personal account of the club. Variables to be taken into consideration so as to not completely ruin this club’s reputation are as follows:
–A bad night.
–A bad crowd on a bad night.
–A bad stench from a bad crowd on a bad night.
You see a pattern here? I saw it so deeply I could smell it. Pun intended.
Walking into the club I could appreciate the layout and what they were trying to achieve with the higher level VIP areas. One cool aspect of them is that you could see the entire dancefloor and club since you were at an elevation (perhaps a good 4 feet) above the dancefloor. This provided for some really good crowd watching. I had enough material for the full 1992 season of America’s Funniest Home Videos when Bob Saget was hosting. Well, maybe it would be more apropo if it was called America’s Funniest Club Videos… uhm, did I just create a great new idea for a show? Brb, calling NBC.
The VIP rooms are spacious and there is what looked to be a somewhat sketchy Hookah lounge at the end of the club. The place was very smokey because of that and the fact that they allow smoking in this club. It smelled very bad due to a blend of sweat, alcohol and smoke.
The place was dirty and the music was ‘okay’. The bathroom was ridiculously big for the amount of urinals and toilet (notice the singularity of the word) available. They could add 3 more urinals there to help lean out the peeing process (I’ll buy their management a copy of the book «The Goal»).
Would I come back here? Probably not. I would however make the effort if a friend would like to meet here for a special reason and if the club’s act was a bit cleaned up. Too many stumbling and bumbling (credit to Chris Berman) drunken girls in my opinion, although it provides for great comic relief, it gets annoying for a guy in my age group who isn’t trying to score with an amoeba.
Overall opinion (for what it’s worth), go here if:
–You’re extremely trashed.
–Can afford VIP or is willing to dish out the extra money for it.
–If you don’t mind cigarette smoke.
–Do not mind the rate of 3CC/​hr (CC=Chicks collapsing).
-**You are in your early 20s.

It’s a new club so there wasn’t a lot of people there but there was an awesome DJ (Prime Minister) playing really good house. There are aquariums inside the club and it has a really pretty bar. I hope this club does well because it has the potential to rock.
I went on a Thursday night. It was ladies night so I drank free from 11 to 12. Can we say double fisting?!
