Calvet Couture Bridal

This was my first wedding dress shopping experience, and my consultant Frances made it a great one. She was so incredibly sweet and attentive. It really felt like I was shopping with a family member. They have an amazing selection for every style and taste. I think of all the places I went, they really had the best range of selections. The only reason I can’t give Calvet Couture a 5 star review is because they only carry one size of every dress, many of which are runway sizes. As my first dress shopping experience, it was so disheartening for me. I didn’t feel pretty in anything that I tried on because I was either stuffed into it, could not try it on because I couldn’t get it over my hips, or was swimming in it. To be fair, they probably did have more dresses that would have fit, but just not in the style/​silhouette that I was looking for. I think they try to put all the brides with big hips into ballgowns or something, which is not my style. My friends and I found a dress that we all liked, but it was actually the only dress that remotely fit so I think that was why we liked it, because it looked better on than the rest. I didn’t have that feeling where I knew it was the one, but based on how the experience was going, I was afraid I was going to have to settle for what looked best and not for something I loved. I ended up putting it on hold and actually found my dress at a different salon. When I did find my dress, I had ‘the moment’ I was supposed to so I knew I made the right choice. I think that if this salon carried more than one size of their dresses, it would really help. The consultants and the dresses are amazing, but if you don’t feel pretty in anything, it’s really discouraging. I almost didn’t want to go to other salons because I thought I’d run into the same issues. I do commend them on their excellent service though!

The way it should be when buying a wedding dress! The store is beautiful and each bride is made to feel like a princess with her own personal consultant and mirror and seating area. Mimosas and champagne are offered and the customer service is excellent. The selection of wedding dresses is beautiful and quality pieces, the hailey Paige dresses where my favorite. I didn’t end up getting my dress here because they were on the expensive side but if you have the budget you should definitely go here. I praise the people that work here for giving me the right experience. I went to a place called formal spot before (beware!) and had the most disheartening experience, so do yourself a favor and choose the place you go to try on dresses wisely!

After my 3^rd visit to Calvet Couture Bridal, I finally said yes to the dress today with the help of the lovely Alexandra and Sarah!
Sarah was so sweet and a trooper during my appointment today; even with losing her voice, she stayed with me the whole time and hunted down a dress for me to try on. There were at least 2 other appointments going on at the same time, but it never felt crowded or took away from my own experience. Alexandra even checked in a few times throughout my appointment and assisted with the process. The whole experience was so laid back and fun, I couldn’t have asked for a better time.
The dress I bought is the very first dress that Alexandra picked out for me on my first appointment based on my initial budget and stylistic preference. She was not only just helpful, she was also extremely patient with me through the entirety of the appointment (being that it was my first dress shopping experience ever, I had no idea what to expect) and was so kind to explain the different silhouettes and materials best suited for my body type and the type of wedding venue.
Gorgeous boutique with an amazing selection of gowns. WONDERFUL consultants and great customer service. Absolutely no-​pressure, easy-​going appointments. I mean, I couldn’t say enough good things about Calvet Couture and the people there! I only wish all the newly engaged ladies to have the same wonderful experience for their dress search :)

I loved my experience at Calvet Couture! I had been on my search for a wedding dress for a few weeks (with some good and some not so good experiences) before I stumbled up this delightful shop. What a breath of fresh air! Alex and Becca were so helpful, attentive and personable and truly made the experience something special. Because my appointment was mid day on a weekday (perks of being your own boss and making your own schedule as a wedding photographer) I was able to try on tons of dresses and styles all within my price range. They helped me narrow things down without feeling pushy or «sales-​ey» at all. Even when I wanted to step away to think over things they were completely professional, understanding and respectful. Needless to say, I returned an hour later to «say yes to the dress!» And we celebrated with champagne and lots and lots of pictures. I can’t wait to walk down the aisle in this gown towards my love later this year! Thank you Alex, Becca and Calvet Couture!

I found my stunning wedding dress at Calvet Couture Bridal. I purchased it sight unseen eleven months prior to my wedding date. Alexandra was very helpful and responsive during the process and ensured that my dress arrived in plenty of time for my bridal portraits and wedding. She went above and beyond and allowed me to have my bridal portraits taken in her boutique. If you are looking for a gorgeous and unique dress, Calvet Couture Bridal is the perfect destination!

I can’t say enough amazing things about this shop! Not only are the selection and quality unparalleled, the experience Alexandra and her team provide is above and beyond. Never once did I feel pressured or stressed! The only «problem» is choosing ONE out of all of the gorgeous dresses! I loved my dress shopping experience so much that I took all of my bridesmaids back a few weeks later to show the dress to them! There are a lot of gorgeous sashes/​belts to add to dresses as well as a veil for every style and some beautiful headpieces, jewelry and even «little white dresses» perfect for bridal showers or the rehearsal dinner! This is just what the Orlando area needed!

LOVE THIS PLACE — so thankful they exist! I am such a boutique shopper always hunting for hidden treasures and I truly found one with Calvet Couture. I was not looking forward to wedding dress shopping because I have heard so many horror stories of friends experiences. pushy sales, overpriced dresses and bad selections. I was lucky enough to have Alex for my appt and had the most incredible experience — actually blew my mind how easy, fun and comfortable it was! I felt like I was dress shopping with one of my best friends. She suggested when needed, helped with ideas but ultimately let my mom and I have fun with the appointment. Their dress selection was gorgeous with California and New York based designers that are hard to find. They covered every style/​trend & were well priced! ($ 2K-​$ 5K+) Their onsite alterations makes it fun since most of their dresses you can customize. I highly recommend brides shop here for their dress shopping — such a GREAT experience!

I did not feel overwhelmed there like I had at other shops where there are only a few decent dresses scattered amongst many awful ones. EVERY dress is gorgeous at Calvet and they offer several different styles to choose from which was great for me because I was still undecided on what style I wanted.
The Calvet ladies are not pushy and provide helpful and honest feedback. Alexandra, the owner, is very knowledgable and has been in the wedding industry for years; she’s approachable and has great taste which also reflects in the boutique itself. It is beautifully designed. It’s located in the heart of College Park which makes for a fun shopping experience too. You could celebrate finding «the one» at one of the many restaurants within walking distance.
I highly recommend Calvet Couture Bridal! I love my dress and very much enjoyed my experience there!

In a spur of the moment group text convo, I found myself venturing down to Orlando for a girl’s trip to do more bridal gown shopping for my sister. Calvet Couture was our first stop. It was in a cute little unassuming strip of shops in the College Park area. But you’re immediately taken with the gorgeous boutique as you step off the streets and into the shop.
The shop was sectioned off, in such that while you could see the whole store from your corner, you were in a semi-​private area with your entourage so the focus remained where it should: the bride to be. Big mirrors flanked the walls and the store is well lit and painted in a calming sea blue. Bordering on the Tiffany’s blue, but a little softer. They have a wide variety of bridal gowns and a small selection of bridesmaid gowns as well.
Our appointment was with Alex, the shop owner. She was fabulous to work with and made sure we were completely comfortable during the whole appointment. We weren’t limited to a number of dresses and she allowed my sister to take her time trying on all the dresses. My sister made many comments throughout the rest of the day (as we visited other shops) how Alex went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable with the whole process.
Definitely a one-​up that she has on some of the other shops we’ve visited during this process is being able to show you the alterations they can make to their dresses. Bridal shops are always quick to tell you what options are available when trying on dresses, but they can’t always SHOW you. She had pictures she was able to pull up on her iPad of previous brides that allowed my sister to actually see what she was talking about which was a nice add.
While appointments are definitely required on some days, it appears the shop may be open on other days with an appointment not being absolutely necessary, but I would definitely recommend one. Or at least contact the shop for further clarification.
CCB is one of the newer shops on the scene and it is definitely ready to help you in a big way for your big special day.
