First time visiting. Good food! The chubbys skillet was delicious and omg their biscuits are crazy good. Very nice waitress. We’ll be back!

First time at Chubby’s today. Breakfast was great! The coffee is very good and the food was excellent. Had the pancake special of the day-​peach pancakes. The pancake sizes were fairly large but it didn’t stop my husband from finishing his whole plate. I had the Donna skillet with biscuit and gravy on the side. Generous portion size and made so well. I loved the gravy! And all the servers are so friendly! We have a new hangout for Sunday breakfasts — so happy!

The location is a dump. Old and over priced and the staff is a joke. My dog could do a better job. The owner needs to learn how to not over price the customer. The eggs were not real and not that good.

My 1^st time here and such a great diner with good service and great food. I’ll definitely be back

Food is excellent, and service very fast I always read reviews and this restaurant lived up to it’s reviews. I really like it. The ambience is lacking, but still very good

If classic USA diner-​type food is what you’re looking for, this is the spot for you. Went there for breakfast and there were many choices ranging from the traditional to the more sublime in the form of creative skillets. My Western omelet was picture perfect and the home fries were just right as well. My wife had scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and biscuit, and all were done perfectly. I was going to downgrade the review to 4 stars due to a lack of real butter, but when I mentioned to the waitress that I would have liked real butter, she promptly brought out a generous portion, so 5 stars it is!
All the waitresses were just what one would want in a Mom and Pop — super friendly, efficient and clearly professional. They constantly check tables to spot half empty coffee cups, and promptly refill them. Can’t wait to go back for lunch — that Reuben special looked mighty inviting.

I tried this place with my girlfriend and let me tell you what a score! The food here and the atmosphere is outstanding. I honestly wish we had more places like this in Orlando, rather then chains of corporate restaurants. I ordered the Donna skillet was very tasty and the biscuit that came with it was omg AMAZING! I would highly recommend this place one of a kind. Thank you for your great service and amazing food.

Inside has the feel of a mom and pop 50s diner with little booths, pictures of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe and vintage American muscle cars. The staff has an amazingly warm attitude with a friendly demeanor and offer fantastic service. My cup was never empty!
The food was outstanding. My boyfriend and I each tried one of their breakfast skillets. I had the skinny and he had the Donna. They were both wonderful and came out quickly. Each skillet comes with your choice of buttered toast or a biscuit. Whatever you choose it’s going to be fantastic.
The waitress was very sweet and was chatting with us about how patrons have become regular for 20 plus years. With that kind of customer base how could you go wrong with choosing Chubby’s?

Pros: Options, taste, prices, customer service, biscuits and gravy, pies, atmosphere.
Cons: location (bad construction nearby — not there fault), restaurant size (I wish it was larger to accomadate larger parties.

I love mom and pop restaurants and Chubbys is restaurant that deserves to be more known in the area. Apart of a shopping plaza, Chubbys is a hidden gem. A small diner that homemakes their pies and has classic Hollywood stars along their walls such as; Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, & I love Lucy!
The food comes out fresh and is amazing! I highly recommend their skillets due to them being a hardy portion of food! If you like Arnold Palmers, try it with a splash of Orange Juice!

A good hole-​in-​the-​wall discovery! I was really in the mood for the some diner food last Sunday and Chubby’s did not disappoint. We arrived around 10 am and immediately got a seat along the Betty Boop wall (the décor in the restaurant is neat). Judging from the menu, I imagine a lot of people go for the skillets (they sound delicious), but the butterscotch pancakes from the chalkboard out front were calling to me. They came out within 10 – 15 minutes and were pretty dang good. Not only were the butterscotch chips on top but they were baked into the pancakes, too. I got a stack, plus two eggs and sausages for somewhere around $ 7, which is a good deal in my book. I think I found my new breakfast place.

All I can say is GREAT Food Alsome Friendly Service and VERY Clean. It’s money well spent. Check them out you’ll be glad you did

This was a cute little hole in the wall. We arrived close to 1pm and were pleased with the quick service and fair amount of food. The food tasted homey and fresh. The 50s memorabilia is cute but it definitely could use a remodel.
I had the all meat omelet and my boyfriend had the chubby skillet which was definitely great.

This place is the most amazing hole in the wall place I’ve ever been too. I love the food, the chubby skillet with all 3 meats (bacon, sausage, and ham). I’ve had Gloria wait on my boyfriend and I 2 times already and she’s super sweet, I love coming in. Try the grilled biscuits and gravy if you can! Soooo amazing.
I was always topped with my coffee and service was great. Clean and vintage, definitely worth my money.

Loved the ‘50s diner feel here! All the walls are covered in old memorabilia on Betty Boop, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, etc. The service is great and everyone is super sweet, very Southern-​like.
I went for breakfast and recommend their skillet, so yummy. Their coffee was also good and the pancakes are very fluffy. All for a pretty affordable price. Enjoy! I’ll have to go back to try their lunch.

I remember meeting my friend for breakfast at Chubbys and I had to thank her for taking me to such a yummy place. I’ve lived here for so long and pass by that street all the time and I didn’t even realize this place was here. Boyyy do I love my friend for introducing me to this place :)
The decorations make u feel like you are at a diner. with Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis displays on the walls. Everyone is friendly, helpful and they truly do have GOOD pancakes! I am picky when it comes to pancakes but there’s something about this place that I could eat them all lol. They also serve lunch (which I need to try next time) but I mainly come here for there breakfast. I keep telling everyone about Chubbys and I have not had a complaint yet

I stopped by for a late breakfast and after talking to the new owners the last trip I expected to see some changes this trip. I did but not the changes I was hoping for.
Positive changes…
The rye toast they now use is much better.
The breakfast skillet I usually order had better ingredients in it this trip.

Disappointments…
Most of the AC vents in the dining area are still pretty dirty.
The walls near many of the tables still need to be repaired.
some of the seats in the booths are ripped.
The food is not the problem at Chubby’s BUT when you look around the dining area, it is pretty apparent that it has not had a thorough cleaning for quite some time. The walls and ceiling tiles are LONG OVERDUE for a painting. I applaud your trying to appeal to people’s patriotism with all of the red, white and blue strung all over the place now BUT the money you spent on all of that could have bought some paint for the walls and ceilings. This place has been under new ownership now for 8 months and you have not managed to find the time to clean those filthy AC vents on the ceiling?
I was told by the staff that the place is going to be repainted within two months. I sure hope so because as much as I love this little gem of a diner, I am not willing to keep patronizing a place that is unwilling to maintain the dining area the customers eat in. I will see you in two months and I sure hope the place has been cleaned up…
NOTE TO THE OWNERS:
I spent $ 15 on breakfast here and for that same amount of money there are places all over the area that will serve me good food AND keep their dining area maintained. I applaud your patriotism but PLEASE make time to clean up the dining area better. Just saying…

Chubby’s is that hole in the wall dining experience. I had driven by this shopping plaza quite a few times before finally deciding to eat there. Once I did, I couldn’t get enough of and my friends and I would come back week after week for their delicious breakfast skillets.
Their breakfast skillets are the mother of all breakfast dishes. You will eat them once and crave them again and again. In fact, Chubby’s just has that effect on you. Their staff is attentive and friendly, you feel like you’re part of the family once you walk in. The restaurant is decorated with vintage Betty Boop décor all over the place. It’s truly an experience.
The cook and staff are also really accommodating. I don’t like tomatoes and they took them out of everything I ordered. I also hate hot coffee — but love iced coffee — and they whipped some iced coffee together for me fast. What I loved most about it, is that they put thought into it. They didn’t just throw ice cubes in hot coffee. They actually iced a bunch of coffee just for me. It was a small gesture that left me a very pleased customer!
Get here early to avoid the crowd and bring an empty stomach — you will leave incredibly satisfied.

Service is 5 stars! The staff is super friendly, saying things like «would my lady like more iced tea?» We went twice about a week apart, and the waitress remembered our drink orders from last time (my wife got hot chocolate followed by iced tea). The staff gives honest recommendations about which entrees are their favorites. The music is 50’s, an there are walls dedicated to Betty Boop, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and I love Lucy.
The breakfast and lunch food are both good. Southern catfish, liver and onions, and desserts that change from various cakes and pies. I don’t think a single entrée is over $ 10. They also have a frequent dining card for weekdays! Give it a shot!
