Buffet is okay, limited selection. Biryani is just ridiculous, better not trying it. Fish curry is good and mostly everything else is good. Desert gulab jam is too sweet to a point your tooth can hurt. Naan is very soft and goes well with most of the curries

The buffet was awful. Tasteless and cold. They have a samosa chat station which was probably the best thing on the buffet menu. It was also cold though. Not sure why it was so full and there was a line. The restaurant couldn’t keep up with the demand. It was too much for them to handle. We asked for menu to order drinks and we never got it. Naans were hot just because they had to keep making them to meet demand. The pakoras were too salty. Goat biryani had no goat. Kofta curry was out of koftas. I am never going back. And people reading this don’t waste your money or time or spoil your Taste for Indian food by going to this place.

We went there tired after whole day of universal studios. Reviews was what made us go there but the service was horrible. They didn’t had dosas and the person taking our order rolled his eyes at us as if we were going to eat for free. The noodles were without any salt or spice. To top it off the waiter came and said sorry for the delay right when we he brought the bill(just for the tip!!) Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

We came here by accident after our«reservations» at Fresco Cucina Italia were screwed up by the hostess/owner. We will never go to that restaurant, no matter joe good their reviews are. We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality, staff, and environment. The food was fresh and tasted excellent; probably one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been too. The staff was pleasant and timely. The bill was amazingly cheap. Give this place a shot; you’ll be really happy.

I was here once for lunch and only a buffet was offered. As I’m not a fan of buffets in general I was disappointed though the offerings were actually quite good. We returned on a rainy night for supper and were promptly seated in a booth by a quiet but kind man who also took our drink orders.(If you like red wines I very much recommend the Wente Cabernet, for beer — go for the King Fisher). Not feeling terribly adventurous but very hungry both my dining companion and I dropped back to a favorite — chicken vindaloo, ordered«medium spicy» and garlic naan. It was very much«medium» spicy — lots of flavor and just the right amount of heat. Any bite too spicy was taken care of by the naan or rice. Not long after our food arrived, about halfway through the meal, a man approached us and asked how everything was. I asked if he was the manager but no, he was the owner, Ram. The conversation was easy and welcoming and more than the typical«how is your meal?». Service was attentive but not overbearing. I did not have to look for someone to order another round, refill water, or pay the check(I absolutely HATE waiting to pay). As we were finishing the check the server said not to go anywhere as Ram was sending over something special. We were treated to mango ice cream which turned out to be a lovely, and tasty, palate cleanser. When you eat«ethnic» foods it is always a good sign to see people clearly of that ethnicity also eating in the restaurant. This was certainly the case here. We asked Ram why he thought is was not very crowded(maybe 15 other people) and he said Indian people generally eat very late and it was only around 7P. Interesting, supper and we learned something! All in all an absolutely enjoyable experience. We will certainly be back. NOTABLY, the couple seated behind us ordered something not on the menu and there was apparently no problem at all meeting their wants. Very nice. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying something different!

Excellent chilli naan and extremely fresh food. We were visiting Orlando and they were amongst the very few Indian restaurants to be open on a Monday! Unilocal reviews are the best. Never fail!

Came here for the $ 10 lunch buffet. It’s a nice restaurant, but the food is okay and the chicken makhni tasted kind of watered down. The naan was crunchier than I would have liked it to be. The desert was firni(vermicelli noodles in sweet milk) which was really good and the chicken tikka was great. Overall, it’s a nice place but I’ve had much better Indian food. For the price of $ 10, it’s a great deal for the lunch buffet, but I’m not sure if I would go there for anything else.

Been to many many Indian restaurants and it’s always hot or miss — mostly miss. I came here today with my mother for lunch — choice were limited and I settled with Naan and three veggi dishes. This is definitely an amazing experience — very tasty food. Highly recommend it.

Chutney’s Indian Restaurant offers an interesting take on Indian food. Being one of the most celebrated Indian restaurants in Orlando, I should’ve imagined it was going to be expensive. Despite liking the food, I don’t think I will come back here any time soon due to the prices(unless it is for a special occasion of course). I came here with my girlfriend and we must have had to wait 90 minutes or so to get a seat. It was packed. Once seated, we ate what was recommended: lamb Popsicle. It was good. What’s neat is that it comes with rice and naan. As for the drinks, there is a wide variety to choose from. I played it safe and got a cocktail for myself, which was a good choice — they’ve got some really good cocktails here.

We came here after a long day at the theme parks. The restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. We ordered two chicken dishes and palak paneer and three sides of garlic naan. The food was very good and the staff was attentive. We were attracted to this place in part because of a Unilocal special: buy $ 50 worth of food and get one free chicken entrée. However, when we asked for the deal, the staff did not honor it or offer to remove the deal from Unilocal. For this reason, I am giving this would be five star establishment only three stars. Chutney: it’s been over a month since I complained about this. If you are reading this, you should honor deals posted online or make it up to your customers somehow.

* check in on Unilocal for a great offer! **spicy isn’t spicy here, don’t be afraid! Dear God, Can we please have a restaurant identical to this in the South Florida area!!! My dad went here last week and told me how amazing it was. I was hoping after a four hour drive it lived up to his rave review… and it certainly did. It’s a gorgeous little spot in a busy strip mall. We waited a little while to be greeted, as there only seemed to be one server, but they did get us situated with water almost immediately and poppadums soon followed. We ordered a bottle of a red wine blend for $ 22. It was great, and I loved the glasses. We started off with the Chili Chicken**** don’t skip this! It’s amazing! Get it 10⁄10 hot. You won’t regret it! We also had vegetable samosas, they were so delicious. The flavor was intense and the puff pastry wasn’t very heavy at all. They were great. I had the burgh tikka masala, I ordered it medium. My daughter and I enjoyed it. My dad had the lamb roganjosh, the sauce was so flavorful. We had butter naan and garlic naan, both were perfect to savor every drop of those sauces! My only gripe was they only served a very small order of rice and it was certainly the bottom of the rice cooker kind of rice. I served my daughter and assumed another order was on the way, but it never came out. I asked for one and was told they ran out and it would be 5 – 10 minutes. Errrr ummmm ok. They brought out fluffy and delicious rice when we were all done eating, I thanked them but said it wasn’t needed anymore. The owner offered a dessert for the inconvenience, I told him to surprise us. Whatever it was, it was good!!! Overall it was a great experience. I’m not a huge fan of Orlando but certainly will go back to Chutney’s when I’m in the area. Don’t question it. Enjoy it!

I love Indian food(well duh! I’m Indian). Came out here for a quick dinner with my childhood friend. Ambience is good. Nice décor, large and spacious layout. And a bar! Yes a bar in an Indian restaurant. Granted it’s limited but still a bar. I’m impressed. Friendly staff, greeted on our entry. This is very important because Indian restaurant staffers usually don’t greet Indian customers(It’s an Indian thing). The food was awesome. We ordered Chicken Majestic for appetizers along with Kingfisher beer. Truly majestic. For main course we ordered Andhra Chicken Curry and Goat Masala. Obviously we ordered spicy and yes it was spicy. Overall great experience and lovely food. Will come back!

My boss came into the office a few weeks ago, raving about a new Indian place that opened Near Sand Lake and Turkey Lake Roads. He is from the UK and is accustomed to «proper» Indian food, so I took his word on how good it was. A friend and I opted to try it out last weekend and we were not disappointed! When checking in on Unilocal,I noticed that if you spend $ 50, you can get a chicken or vegetarian entrée for free. I wasn’t sure if that was above and beyond the $ 50 or if they just took what you ordered off your bill, but it didn’t really matter. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. The restaurant clean and comfortable. While there was one other table of non-Indian people, the majority of people were Indian. That, to me, is ALWAYS a good sign! It means the food is authentic and delicious! I was not even more excited to try this place out! When you are first seated, they offer you a complimentary glass of wine. It’s brought out with papadum(lentil cracker) and three chutney’s(mint, onion, and I think the third was a yogurt based dip — I didn’t try it). Because I’m a huge fan of the mint and onion chutney’s but not a fan of the papadum, I ordered some garlic naan to eat it with. To reach a $ 50 tab, my friend and I opted to order a few different dishes and share everything. We got murgh makhani(butter chicken), lamb vindaloo(a curry dish), and saag paneer(spinach with cubed cheese). The server asked if wanted our dishes mild, medium, or spicy, and because my boss already warned me that their spicy is «blisters your lips spicy,» we opted for medium. We also ordered another round of naan, but tried the onion kind this time, at the suggestion of our server. Everything we had was absolutely delicious! The level of heat was perfect, the meat cooked well, the sauces seasoned as they should — I do not have any complaints or suggestions on what could’ve been better. Keep in mind that we each had a glass of wine(complimentary), 2 orders of naan, an extra order of chutney, and extra order of rice, and 3 entrees. With the Unilocal check-in offer, our total tab was only $ 38! You cannot beat it! the food was amazingly delish and the price was unbeatable. I will definitely be back!

Chutney’s is in the space formerly occupied by the excellent Rice Paper and the terrible Lolailo. It’s also almost next door to Graffiti Junction, which used to be Orlando’s finest Indian restaurant, Memories of India, so it has some big shoes to fill. So far things look promising. We visited at lunch, and, unfortunately like most Indian restaurants in the area, only the buffet is available at lunch time. While there are plenty of choices available on the buffet, it’s impossible for the food quality to match what could be served up fresh and in even more variety from the kitchen. We were impressed with the variety of chutney available(not too surprising, I guess, given the restaurant’s name) and the endless supply of naan bread that was delivered to our table. They were still working out some issues with getting checks promptly to tables, but the service was friendly. Still, to assess whether this is really the next go-to Indian restaurant in Southwest Orlando(something we could really use, given the weaknesses of the others in the area) will require a visit in the evening.
