I walked in to get a flat fixed fix with wheel in hand. One customer in was being helped. I waited over 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I left disappointed.

Great bikes with great prices. If you buy a bike here, they offer lifetime free service, which is really pretty awesome. The bikes not really name brand, but more like white label versions for the store. They do use top notch components. The bottom line is the price is way lower than a brand name bike.

This was one of the worst experiences and transactions I’ve ever had in retail. I purchased a bike that was not in stock. They swiped my credit card and it took 3 seconds for them to get my $ 1300. They said the bike would arrive in 5 days. 8 days later and still no bike. They couldn’t even find the tracking number. Each salesman said I needed to talk to «the other guy.» They sent me around in circles. So I asked for a refund. He yelled at me and said I needed to be more patient. I respectfully followed through with request for refund. He made me fill out a form and made me write my credit card numbers on it. He said the refund request needed to get«faxed to corporate.» It took 3 seconds to take my money by swiping my credit card, but it takes faxing to corporate to get a refund. All this in 2015. 11 days have past and still no refund. Just more run around and excuses. This is the most dishonest group I’ve ever dealt with. Don’t walk away from this store… run!

We have purchased four new bicycles from Cycle Spectrum AND — most importantly — I trusted them to tune up and put new tires on my vintage 50 year old BF Goodrich Challenger. They are excellent for repair and service after the sale is second to none. They are THEBEST.

This is a bike shop for beginners, and non enthusiasts, and that is fine. if that is what you are looking for. My girlfriend called me up crying after she went to this store, and they treated her. like a girl. She was in the market to buy a decent mountain bike, and the guy kept trying to sell her pink beach cruisers, and stuff with baskets on them. She tried to explain her knowledge of bikes, and the guy kept laughing at her, and told her girls don’t need such bikes(i.e.a real mountain bike). The salesman tried to contradict everything she said she was looking for, and eventually she got fed up and left. She ended up buying a $ 900 Kona from Kyle’s Bike Shop in the Milk District, where they listened to her needs, and worked with her to get the best fit. and even upgraded parts to compete with the Scott dealer in Winter Park. She is now upgrading her fork to a downhill 180 mm travel($ 700) Rockshox, that she will be buying elsewhere… and she plans on riding up to this store and laugh at them for all the money they missed out on by being rude to her.

Very awesome place to shop for a bike. Also the GM for the store was very pleasant and engaging about describing all the different bikes and what sizes fit what kind of people. I actually learned more about bikes in the time I was there, than any point before this time. I didn’t know there were so many nuances to the bike game. I was impressed with the knowledge that was displayed. It is a small shop, but I guess how big do you expect a bike shop to be? If you do happen to visit ask for a guy named Chad is the afermentation GM I mentioned earlier in this review. He will answer any and all questions that you may have. Since I am in the market for a bike, this place makes the top of the list.

To be honest, I don’t remember exactly when I bought my bike from Cycle Spectrum. I thought it was in 1998 when they first opened, but based on some research I did on my bike model, it may have been as late as 2000 or 2001. Regardless, it has been ATLEAST12 years(as of this review) since I bought my bike from them. They have long since stopped selling not just my bike model, but anything from the company that made it. And I remember the owner telling me back then that if I bought the bike there, I would get lifetime free labor for all work done on that bike at his shop. The reason that I mention all of this is because I’ve always believed that certain allowances should be made by customers of small, local shops and restaurants to account for the fact that we’re all human beings when it comes down to it. People make mistakes, times change, all that stuff. And so the last couple of times that I have walked into this shop(it’s probably about every two to three years, for a flat tire or a tune-up), I have fully expected that at some point it will have just been TOO long. Maybe they won’t remember that well over a decade ago, they sold this particular make and model of bicycle. They’ll ask for a receipt to show that I bought the bike here, and of course I lost that just a few months after buying it. Turns out: Nope. Maybe they’ve been tracking the serial numbers of all the bikes they’ve ever sold? I don’t know. They don’t even ask, they just give me my bike back without charging me for labor. I just brought it in this week for a flat tire that needed a new tube, as well as a long overdue tune-up. All of that was taken care of in professional fashion, the bike looks and rides just like it did when I first bought it. Total cost? $ 6 for parts(the new tube). They’ve been in business since 1998, which means they’re still happily holding up their end of the Free Labor bargain for bikes bought 15 years ago — you know it’s not just a gimmick. That speaks volumes about their honesty.

Guess I am now a «biker». LOL Frank was extremely patient and knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions without a hint of irritation in his voice. Ended up purchasing 2 Fuji bikes and am really happy with them. The shop specializes in closeout bikes, so the customer gets an excellent bike at half the cost. They don’t carry too many accessories, but you save enough money that you can go shopping and buy some gear elsewhere.

After visiting a few bike shops in Orlando, including Cycle Spectrum, I decided to purchase my 2 bikes from this store. The customer service was absolutely great, Chad was very helpful and very knowledgable. He was also extremely patient with my girlfriend and I who were purchasing our first road bikes, despite all of our silly beginner questions. I HIGHLY recommend this shop compared to others that I personally visited. They have a great selection of bikes in stock, so I didn’t have to order one. I have nothing but good things to say, he explained to us what each bike was and why we were better on the ones we ended up purchasing than others that were in our same price range. He gave us ample time to test ride and even gave a few pointers, I did not feel rushed or pressured at any time. We visited the store 1 hour before closing time and Chad remained after hours to finish tuning the bikes to make sure they were perfect for their first ride. They also have free labor for bikes purchased at their store for service, only parts need to be purchased. If you are in the market for a road bike, mountain bike, or cruiser, go check them out!
