Delias

Delia’s is one of those shops that satisfies my inner teenage self. I remember receiving Delia’s catalogs in the mail as a teenager and wishing I could own every single item found on each page. All of it was so trendy, fun and vibrant. Of course, this was before the store became one of the many rooted in the Florida Mall.
One thing Delia’s has always stood out for is their crazy fun screen print tee shirts and quarky sense of style. Most of their clothes contain bright colors and unique patterns. While I don’t shop here much anymore, every now and again I find something worth buying that suits my style now as an adult. However, just walking in here and perusing makes me happy.
Their prices are a bit cheaper than their catalogs, but it depends on what you buy. The best time to shop here is when they have sales… you can get some really great stuff for über cheap. Love it! Their sizes tend to run a bit small in both the bottoms and tops so be sure to try on what you want before buying it.
The one thing that tends to turn me off is the sales staff. Often times I find them to be snooty and egotisical caring only about themselves, their friends and those youngin’s who come into the store and look «cool» according to their standards. You can imagine their excitement when I, an adult in her mid-20’s enters… they pretty much flee.
Overall, it’s a fun place to shop every now and again, but a not place that I frequent for clothes or accessories.

Delia’s is a place I really don’t understand. It is by the same people who brought you Claire’s, but it is supposed to be like the older sister store. But interestingly enough they both sell basically the same stuff, it’s just delia’s has purple wallpaper.
The Good:
Plenty of Accessories: What I have always loved about claire’s is their bevvy of accessories. I mean you can get earrings with just about anything on them from there. Delia’s is basically the same, although it looks like they go for a more simple accessory approach.
Licensed stuff: If you couldn’t find the licenced gear you wanted across the mall at hot topic, then chances are good you’ll find them here. This places has plenty of purses and tees with teen heartthrobs plastered all over them. Joy.
The Bad:
It’s Claire’s 2.0: Seriously, I know these two are supposed to be related, but man, they are basically the SAME. Don’t beleive me? Check it out for yourself!
