The façade says Dillards but the reality proves NOT. This space is now in a close out format that has no resemblance to the once great store. Now there is no disputing the rows of attire are very well organized by color and type, so once you have found your type, you may find that bargain. Signs say 65% off, but doesn’t stipulate off of what? RIP Dillards West Oaks.

This is a very busy Dillards and I understand that it has gotten negative reviews. But this is a very good Dillards with a variety of products and convenience close to the west side of town. This is the only store on the west side of orlando where you can find dressy stuff. Everybody goes here, it is an understaffed location, Dillard’s has been closing stores around town. This Dillard’s service orlando, Ocoee, winter garden, Windermere, and gotha. Please give the store employees time to eat, go to the bathroom and sit for five minutes. They will give you great service, orlando is becoming a bigger city so you have to wait for service just like you do in a bigger city.

I wouldn’t normally go to this mall based on selection, stores, usually not in my commute. but I found myself there, needing something on the fly — nautical shorts for my sailor bachelorette cruise. Here’s why I don’t go to Dullard’s West Oaks Mall: 1) Two salespeople chatting each other up, about going to a rave(wtf?) & what to wear, with not as much as a «‘Sup?». 2) Completely ignoring me, as I loaded up my arms(had 3 other shopping bags, so you would think«this little commission light of mine would shine» in one of those troclodytes.). 3) I dumbed it down & stood in front of fitting rooms for them, waiting for someone to let me in like Space MTN. nada. 4) Found myself an open room, decided which ones I wanted(all of them) & stood at the register. and stood. guess what? stood some more. nothing. soo… 5) I put all 4 items back where I found them(cause I don’t want to come back as a dung beetle in the next life) & went home to .

Wow! Several negative endorsements but allow me to respectfully retort my brothers and sisters. I have been coming to this location for years for my dress clothes needs. I’ve yet to be dissatisfied. My wedding suit was purchased and impeccably tailored here. I have purchased countless pairs of dress leather shoes, pants, shirts, and ties here as well. The discounted racks have always produced low-priced gems(some still hanging) so be sure to peruse them for your size! There is an Indian lady who works here, who has always helped me pick out and pair outfits when the wife isn’t available. She never lets me carry a thing and has me in and out with a smile every time she is there. I am quite ashamed I can’t recall her name at it appears I’ve lost her business card when transitioning to the new wallet. I will concede that I can’t speak for the rest of the store. However, the men’s section has always hooked me up solidly. The cologne selection is also top shelf in my humble opinion. The place is never busy and normally I am the only person trampling around the men’s department when I’m picking out my next outfit for a special event. The Mall itself is clearly on its heels, but in my book this Dillard’s is not yet down for the count.

A man walks into Dillard’s and notices 3 employees standing around chatting… he soon finds out that the joke is on him He asks them where he can find men’s dress pants… one of the three employees looks up at him with a look that screams how dare he interrupt her convo and says«In the men’s department»…REALLY!!! thanks captain obvious If the man wasn’t so crunched for time he would have said«Wrong answer, actually I can find them at another store where customer service exists» and then walked back to his truck… but unfortunately that didn’t happen. What did happen was he was able to find the men’s department after being given a half-assed point in its direction. Upon finding the department, he noticed that is was completely devoid… devoid of other customers, of any staff, and almost of any clothes as well. Most of what clothes were there seemed to have been hung up on the racks by Stevie Wonder(sorry Stevie, love ya bro) He began trying on pants and after the third pair a figure appeared in the distance… it couldn’t be… wait it is… another employee! As he prepared to be insulted or maybe even completely ignored the employee said«Are you finding what you are looking for today». After a brief moment of shock the man responded«not yet, trying to find some brown dress pants in a size 34*”(the story you are reading is true, the size has been changed to protect the innocent). The man turned back around to keep looking through the rack assuming the employee would help him locate a pair. When the man turned back around the employee was in the distance once again fading away never to be seen or heard from again. Moral of The Story: DON’T EVERSHOPATTHISSTORE!!! And yes, this man was me

This review is not just a reflection of Dillard’s itself, but of the entire West Oaks Mall in general. I thought the Oviedo Mall was a dead mall, this one has already been put in the grave and just doesn’t know it. The store is obviously not kept up all that good, and why should they honestly bother doing so, at 6:30 on a Thursday night, we might have honestly been the only customers in the place. It is a sad testament to better economic times, when people went to this mall for something other than a movie. Overall, unless you truly just love Dillard’s as a store, I wouldn’t bother with this location.

I try very hard not to ever shop at Dillard’s. The only time I go in there is if I am shopping near my home at the Weat Oaks Mall — I go in there because there are so few choices at that mall. I will get in a car and travell across town to a Macys or Nordstrom rather than shop in there. Their return policy is ridiculous! If I go in there and pay $ 75 in Cash for an item and then return it 40 days later — with a receipt — they will only give you store credit. 30 days with a receipt and you can get YOUR cash back. 31 days with a receipt and they keep YOUR cash. In my opinion, that is the opposite of Customer Service!
