Really impressed by this place. I’ve been twice recently and both times had excellent service and food. The kids meal is an awesome value and the décor is very nice. Although the ambience is much more formal inside, the patio bar outside is casual and I think it gives off a cheesecake factory feel in a good way where you could come for burger/salad on the patio for a lunch with kids OR a more formal date night or special occasion. Very pleasantly surprised by this«new» spot and what a great location.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. Have been a couple times now. Each experience was very good. The steaks are flavorful. The spinach salad is a perfect start to the meal. It is fresh spinach with bacon, mushrooms, egg, a vinegrette dressing that is the exact compliment. The mushrooms are a great side to get with your steak. The sweet potatoes fries are also very tasty. I do not eat bread but my spouse does and absolutely loves the bread that is served here. To drink I order the fresh squeezed lemonade. It is served in a sugar rimmed glass, and a refreshing beverage. A nice bonus is that they donate a portion of the profit from the lemonade sales to charity. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice night out. Whether it is date night or a business dinner this is not disappointing.

I don’t think you can go wrong with Firebirds. The location is great, parking is a pain but they have Valet. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and the baked potato hit the spot. I did have the port mushrooms and had to send them back as they were entirely too sweet for my liking. The server was more than accommodating and the manager brought the potato out for me. Firebirds is a great place for a group but also nice for a couple having a great meal.

Definitely try the weekend Happy Hour — 1−5p. Double Black Diamond Martinis only $ 5 plus bar bite specials. I recommend the mahi tacos and the tenderloin trio(but get the sauces on the side — the BBQ sauce isn’t that great but the peppercorn is amazing and only $ 10). You also can’t go wrong with the beef sliders. For dinner I recommend the sesame crusted salmon but skip the fried spinach… it’s not that good despite what the server will tell you. The crème brûlée cheesecake is delish as well!

What an interesting night. We had a reso that was for 8. I called ahead to make sure it was okay to come a little early and decorate the table because the birthday guy didn’t know a couple of us wouldn’t be joining. I let our server, Taylor know ahead of time what the bday guy looked like and that I would preorder the carrot cake. I even asked to make sure they had candles(I brought some just incase they didn’t). We processed to order apps, bottles of wine, next to entrees. Our apps tasted wonderful! Coconut shrimp, ahi tuna, and ranch rings! A woman manager came out to let one of the couples with us know that they didn’t have any more mid-rare prime rib left. My husband and I had ordered the same, yet she didn’t come to tell us. The salads came out. 2 of 5 people that ordered them got theirs. I had to ask for mine. Once our entrees started to come out the other couple realized theirs hadn’t come out.(I didn’t know they had ordered salads or I would have asked for theirs when I noticed mine was missing) The entrees come out and the seat numbers were all wrong. We had to point the servers to where the food went. My prime rib was set in front of the lady that was told they didn’t have anymore mid rare prime rib. We waited to see if there was a mistake made. There was, it was mine, and it was medium. maybe medium rare. The woman manager assured me whatever I wanted would be covered. Got the ribeye. awesome! Why I’m giving them 4⁄5 starts is because another manager(male, plaid shirt) came out twice to check on us. he realized that everyone was a bit disappointed. He covered all of our apps and 3 entrees! Props to the management team that turned our experience around! We will be back!

Came here for an anniversary and it was very below our expectations. Ordered a medium rare steak and it came out well done. Also ordered the pork tenderloin and the portion was for a new born child. We also waited an hour to get our food. The only reason this isn’t a 1 star is because the managers at least attempted to give us good service for their mistakes.

Firebirds is conveniently(for me since I work close by) located near the intersection of Mills/17−92 and Virginia Drive amongst other very new businesses and restaurants. I took my parents here when they came to visit and we were all impressed. The three of us opted to start with salads — each one ordering a different salad — and mine was a simple, fresh bed of mixed greens with candied walnuts and cilantro lime dressing. We also were given a loaf of freshly baked bread before the meal and free bread always = happy family as we love our carbs! For my meal, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup — it was just okay — and chicken quesadillas. I really liked the quesadillas as they were not flimsy, but rather stuffed with generous portions of the grilled chicken, cheese and other stuff that I can’t remember since I waited a while to write this review(hey, at least I’m honest). I do remember being full and satisfied. My parents were happy with their meals too(again, my memory escapes me). The service was great and my main qualm is that the menu items are overpriced — in my opinion. The restaurant itself does look pretty elegant and I’m guessing the rent is high, considering the location, so maybe they have to hike up the food prices? Either way, I’ll still come back for more.

Great happy hour! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was quick! I ordered the mahi mahi tacos. Great flavor and enough to share for two people. The double black diamond martini was very refreshing and not too sweet. Can’t wait to back!

Short story: The only fire missing in this place is the one that should burn it to the ground. Go to Outback instead. After all, this place is a chain, as well. Unfortunately, there isn’t an Outback in the area. So, seek the nearest mediocre steak place or, spend the extra $ 15 and go to Ruth’s Chris. Long story: There’s a reason there wasn’t a wait on a Saturday night. Overpriced is an understatement. The location is great, which is why people are even dropping their money on a meal that could be cooked better by Helen Keller. 14 oz room temp Ribeye: $ 26.99 Side of room temp baked potato: Included Side of rock-hard veggies: $ 5.50 Add an unsweet tea and a couple of domestic drafts and you just got taken for over $ 50.00 with the tip. Save yourself the trouble and give them $ 20 to kick you in the junk.

Great food in a great location. I’ve dined at Firebird and picked up food several times. They are located in a plaza with fresh market near the intersection of Virginia and Mills, so there is plenty to do before and after dining. The interior, while not as fancy as some of the downtown restaurants, is fairly elegant. However, the reason I keep going back isn’t the location or the service, which is always great, but rather because of two words: prime rib! They make some of the best prime rib in Orlando. The portion is large and make for a great dinner. Overall, this restaurant is a great place to grab dinner in general, and an amazing place to satisfy any craving for prime rib without having to spend the time and money associated with the more upscale downtown restaurants.

Firebirds is great! A nice addition to the area, even though it is a chain restaurant. I have come multiple times with groups or on a date with the hubs and had a nice experience each time. Be sure to checkout happy hour, especially on Mondays when many(all?) glasses of wine are half off! Reservations are a good call if you will be coming in the evening Thursday — Sunday. From outside it never looked like much to me but the inside is larger than you might suspect. All at once being a big open room but with cozy booths and a nice distance between tables so you are not completely involved in your neighboring tables conversation. Nice atmosphere for a date or fun celebration. The bar area is very large, including an outdoor bar, without spilling into the main dining room. Nice selection of appetizers including the lobster queso dip. Salads and other starters have also been tasty. Choose from a selection of specialty cocktails, wine, or beer. Have yet to have a bad drink here including off menu orders such as a classic old fashioned. For your main meal, anything from the wood-fire grill is a solid choice. I love their wood plank salmon while red meat eaters in my family favor the aged ribeye steak. A number of sides to choose from including delicious mashed potatoes, loaded potatoes, wilted spinach, mixed veggies, mac & cheese, and more. Those are just some of my favorites. If you can, save some room to at least split a dessert. Warm brownie ala mode with hot fudge and salted caramel is our family favorite. Also enjoy the rich, fudgey flourless(gluten free) cake. Yum!

Visited Firebirds for NYE dinner and we were not disappointed. The menu offers something for everyone and I had such a hard time deciding what to get! I finally ordered the 16oz prime rib with potatoes au gratin. The potatoes were a little on the spicy side for me but otherwise well done. The prime rib was a little rarer than I ordered but that’s much preferred to being overcooked. Our server was great with suggestions. However, she disappeared for lengths of time when we were ready to get our check and go. I’d definitely return for some yummy food at not terrible prices though.

I’ve been here multiple times to enjoy a happy hour or late cocktail at their outdoor area, which is lovely. And always have had a nice drink, especially when it’s happy hour, the prices are great. So, we finally made it here to actually eat inside for a early dinner and cocktail last Sunday afternoon. Luckily, we ran into some fellow Unilocalers outside and joined them for a bit and we munched on the beer cheese and pretzels, which I have to say was underwhelming. After saying goodbye, we went inside to dine. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, the noise is controlled by smart design, and the service from hostess, to server, and to the manager stopping by to check on us was on point. Yay! Food: Well, I was a bit worried after our appetizer outside, but we proceeded anyway. My husband was in the mood for steak and after showing him a Unilocal review of the Delmonico steak on the menu, that was his choice without hesitation. He ordered it medium with the au gratin potatoes. When it came out, it was beautifully seasoned and charred, and the temperature was a perfect medium as requested. He and I both thought it was an excellent steak. It was juicy, not too fatty, but enough to give it flavor, and tender as heck! Really, it was SOSO good. The au gratin potatoes were also perfectly crisped on the outside and not too greasy or cheesy. He and I would so get this again. I opted for the angus meatloaf sans the portabella mushrooms(which I don’t care for). It came out with two generous slices that were meaty and tasty, a gravy that was good, but not fantastic, haricot verts(delicious and crisp), and I opted for the mac n’ cheese, which was simply awesome. Definitely will be back for not only cocktails and happy hour outside, but dinner inside.

I’ve been here a few times, mostly for their amazing happy hour(great options in food and drinks, AND great prices), and I always leave very happy. The place is big, and the décor is beautiful. They also have a great patio with a full bar outside. Service is always the best, be it when I go with a friend, or with a large party. Even if we order off of the happy hour menu 2 minutes before cutoff time, service is always the best. Not much I can say about the food, besides the fact that there’s a very good variety of dishes, the menu changes a bit every so often, and everything is absolutely delicious!

I have been wanting to come here for a while but we would always end up somewhere else for some reason. Well today we made it here and after taking a walk inside to look around we elected to sit outside in the Bar/Patio area. The place has a more formal look near the kitchen area with many high top tables around the bar area. This place has a very classy feel but nut a stuffiness to it. Well done and we’ll have to bring the kids here some time. I made my way to the bad and ordered a Pineapple Mimosa for my wife and the usual Iced Tea with lime for myself. After looking over the menu, mama elected to try the Smoked Wings and a cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup. I selected the Durango Burger with fries and a side of the Chille Mac. Our server was the bartender and it was clear he knew the menu inside and out. One thing I will have to say is we were treated like VIP from the moment we arrived until the time we left. We were brought some bread and two things stood out. The butter was not hard as a rock and spreadable AND that bread is addictive good! I had to force myself to say no to more bread… Next up was the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Great flavor and the texture of the tortillas was perfect. The Chille Mac had a decent flavor BUT the cheese sauce was a but soupy and a fresh made pasta would have been perfect. I would ask that they consider a version with Scotch Bonnet as well. The fries were superb. Fresh cut, blanched and perfectly cooked. The Durango Burger was a hearty burger and a great presentation. The flavors were wonderful with ONE big exception… The dredge the burger in a spice mix that was way too salty. Other than too much slat, it was great. Service — 5 Atmosphere — 5 Presentation — 3(Soup bowl had soup on outside of bowl and on saucer from being overfilled and the burger plate had food particles not wiped from the rim of the plate) Pineapple Mimosa — 5(according to my wife) Iced Tea — 5(Great choice of tea and it was NOT weak) Tortilla Soup — 4 Chille Mac — 3(Sauce was too soupy and a sharp cheese would have stood out more) Durando Burger — 3(The spices on the burger were too salty) Fries — 5 Overall it was a good experience. My server agreed that the burger seasoning is a bit too salty and will relay it to the kitchen. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to a dinner service in the dining area where I can see the kitchen.

I’ve been here before and really enjoyed. However, this time, was different. It was my mom’s birthday and I called ahead to let them know. I expected the waiter to be very attentive, but we barely saw him all night. The service was very slow, we always had empty water glasses and the food took forever to arrive. My mom got the Mahi which she has gotten before, and she said it tasted much different(in a bad way) today. My sister’s salad came completely soggy, and looked like it had been sitting out for quite some time. Yes, they replaced it but it should never have come out like that. And they didn’t take it off the bill. I got the Durango burger, which was actually delicious. But I was one of the only people that enjoyed my meal. Before my mom arrived, we told the waiter we wanted two desserts to come as a surprise for my mom’s birthday. So instead of coming out with the desserts first, he proceeded to place clean forks in front of everyone after dinner… making it obvious dessert was coming and ruining the surprise. By the time they came with the dessert, my mom already knew something was coming. I believe this place can do much better but I was highly disappointed coming on my mom’s birthday

Interesting place that is very pretty. Have tried happy hour here a few times and recently had dinner here. Happy hour is wonderful. The bar as you enter the restaurant is so opulent and beautiful. So many liquor bottles illuminated from bar wall lights. The front bar area does get really filled up so come early for happy hour, but the drink and small plate specials are really fabulous. My favorite appetizers are the soft pretzel bread with jalapeño beer cheese and the chicken tenders. You just can’t go wrong here, so order them both at happy hour. There is also an outside covered bar here, but it so hot out I’ve never tried it. It looks nice, but I prefer to sit inside the main restaurant. For dinner I tried the restaurant week prix fixe menu selection with a Cajun shrimp appetizer, hanger steak with green chili mac & cheese and the chocolate brownie sundae for dessert. My dinner was fantastic and the hanger steak was grilled and seasoned to perfection. My friend had the sesame crusted salmon and the key lime pie, both had pretty presentation and looked delicious. I really like the ambiance of this place and will come back again.

My husband and I stopped by Firebirds on a whim today. We ate outside in their patio area, which I was so happy to hear was non-smoking! Most times when we want to eat outside, we have to pass on it because the restaurants allow smoking, so when the hostess said no smoking, we were elated. It happened to be happy hour while we were there and we received a few draft beers for $ 2 off each. I ordered the Durango Burger & Steak Fries and my husband had the Turkey Club & Tots. Both of our meals were delicious and perfectly made Our waiter, Kevin, was awesome and went out of his way to provide ranch dressing for me as I forgot to ask for it originally. He was very friendly and checked in to see if we needed anything throughout our visit. All of the staff we saw during our visit was great as well. We will definitely be back!

This place is definitely a great place to go on a beautiful evening because the Patio is a great place to eat and mingle, especially when the weather is forbidding. Plus, if you sit in the Patio Area there is a bar menu of great options to choose from if you decide to sit in the designated area. The ambiance was great, the music selection was supporting the feel good vibe. Now let me forewarn you this is not an establishment where the food is inexpensive, it is a bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth it. I had three particular menu items that will definitely make any evening worthwhile: 1) A Mango Mojito: perfectly blended, pretty much anything with Mango is bound to be amazing. 2) Mahi Tacos: Tacos is my thing and out came three Mahi Tacos that had the perfect amount of crunch, and the perfect amount of savory to make a girl swoon. 3) The Finale: Crème Brulee Cheesecake! My favorite dessert of all time is Crème Brulee already, but then to add Cheesecake into the mix is simply dangerous. Creamy and Mouthwatering! Say What?!! Yes I would go here again! Positive Vibes and Good Food is always a plus in my book!
