Looks like they have a proud picture of Obama eating here… Definitely won’t be patronizing this place.

Looks like they have a proud picture of Obama eating here… Definitely won’t be patronizing this place. Rick, Yes this is the second time I have posted this review, as the first time, my review, the exact one as depicted above, was removed. Again, I am entitled to my opinion(I know liberals believe only they are entitled to their opinions) so good luck with your«legal team»! Ps. I’m sure Unilocal will have this one removed tomorrow as well. If my little Unilocal review is really that detrimental to your business maybe you should look at yourself? What will you do if I come in and still have the same opinion?

Visiting Orlando with children 10 to 4 years old. Enjoying the swans and turtles at Lake Eola downtown. Need a spot for a late lunch before heading back to our accommodations in Disney area. Whip out Unilocal and find Harp and Celt Irish Pub on Magnolia, just off Center. From the moment you open the well worn wooden doors you feel warmth here. Philly, our bartender and host from County Kildare, welcomes you with a broad smile and Irish wit. We settle into a table with beautiful built-in bench seating on two sides of the table that look like they were shipped over from Ireland. We start with Scotch Eggs, and the Baked Brie and Fruit Plate with brown bread. I also ordered a Guinness and a shot of Irish whiskey. Harp and Celt has a broad selection of Irish whiskey, Scotch whisky, and bourbon. I ordered Jameson Black Barrel as I had not tasted it yet. The Scotch Eggs are served quartered. One egg per order. We ordered two for five people. Perfectly hard boiled, wrapped in sausage, coated and cooked to perfection. All of us enjoyed a couple slices. The Baked Brie had a nice crispy coating and is served warm and gooey with fruit and freshly baked brown bread to slather it on. Sliced apples, huge grapes, and orange slices(we are in Florida after all) accompany the bread and cheese. To say my family devoured it would be a vast understatement. Simply delicious and perfectly executed by the kitchen. My wife ordered the CELT(melted Cheddar, hard boiled Egg slices, Lettuce, and Tomato) sandwich. She is a huge fan of grilled cheese and hard boiled eggs. Slam dunk for her. I ordered the Steak and Mushroom Pie. Boy, am I glad I did. It comes in a baking dish with a towering crispy puff pastry sitting atop a glorious medley of tenderly cooked beef and mushrooms immersed in a rich, velvety Burgundy sauce. This is THE comfort food dish of your dreams. Break through the flaky pastry and grab a chunk of tender beef, scoop up a mushroom and welcome to ridiculously amazing! Cannot rate this place higher. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Charming, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. Drinks are spot on. Food is amazing. We will be back when we return to Orlando. Thanks for making us feel at home away from home Philly!

I’ve been here twice now, once for drinks at night and the other for breakfast. The night we went for drinks it was nice, we were about the only people in there so it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was also nice, we were there to watch the soccer games.

Came here for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed. We had a party of 7, and every one of us absolutely loved our food. I got the cottage pie, which was delicious, and we also had the dubliner, steak and mushroom pie, the Reuben, the stew, and a couple other dishes. Everything I tried was awesome, and staff was super sweet. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert, and holy mother of bread pudding, it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We liked it so much we ordered another, and instead of the standard glass it comes in, they gave us 3 separate little dishes for easier sharing across the table. I could have happily eaten that bread pudding for the rest of the day. So yeah, get the bread pudding. I would have taken a picture, but I scarfed it down instead. Will definitely be back!

The chicken wings were cooked to perfection. They were huge and juicy. BUT the sauce was super bland and flavorless. Whiskey wings they called them but I didn’t taste why. Irish Car Bombs for $ 5 that Sunday night. I had two and they were great! She ordered a Buttery Nipple drink which was given a high rating enough for a second drink. The place emptied out very early I thought so we moved on as well. Maybe because they didn’t have the NFL Package for a sports bar I figured. Miami Dolphins fans were disappointed the damn game wasn’t on in a Floridian bar! Both servers we had were friendly and helpful.

I confess I am little hesitant to post this review because I don’t want all you people crowding my favorite weekend brunch joint but here I go anyway… A true Irish breakfast, made to order, on the cheap. Yum yum yum yum! Get the Traditional Irish Breakfast(a half is plenty for one person). They serve REAL Irish tea(not that Lipton crap) as well… and it is NOT brought to you in the form of a tea bag that you must dunk in lukewarm water(I wish damn Americans would learn how to serve a proper cup of tea!!!). The mimosas and Irish coffee are pretty good too. I tried a friend’s Cream of Potato Leek soup which was delicious and had a bite of Irish Benedict(those potato cakes were heavenly). Our server took care of our busy brunch table without missing a beat and she was patient with all of us too. I will definitely be back for this awesome brunch!

Omg. They let me bring my service dog and served me the best food in Orlando. The bread pudding made me die and then my service dog called the paramedics and we bought them nachos after they broght me back and they didn’t even charge my insurance. Go here. Live a little. Yes haw.

My friends dined here a few nights ago after experiencing the Great Escape Room next door. We were debating about where to eat and a gentleman told us to check out this business. Turned out, he was were server once we decided to eat here. The menu reminded me of the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando Resort. The menu had Cottage Pie, Fish & Chips, Irish sandwiches, Scottish Egg, and typical Irish Pub food. The prices were very reasonable as well. The interior was small, but it was welcoming. I noticed there was an upstairs available. We sat down in the main area next to the bar. Our server was very nice, attentive, and very friendly. He offered us some suggestions about what is delicious here. I ordered onion rings to start off with to share. The onion rings were tasty with beer batter, but I wanted more for the $ 9. My entrée was Fish & Chips. The fish was Pollock. This was different from traditional Cod with the meal. It was huge and a great deal of chips to go with it. It was delightful! My friends ordered a Cottage Pie and some Irish sandwich. The cottage pie was huge! It could be like 3 meals in my opinion. I tried some of it and it tasted great. Our server brought us a plate of salad and soup. We didn’t ordered it and told him it was a mistake. He told us to go ahead and eat it with no charge since he made a mistake. The soup was a potato like soup and it was so yummy! The salad was delicious with a vinaigrette dressing. We were here for about 2 hour enjoying ourselves and the staff was fine with that. They have a lot of tvs for people to enjoy the football game in here. I didn’t mind the noise. Overall I thought this place was amazing with great food at great prices. I would definitely make a trip back here. Try this place out!

First the review below by Todd S could not be further from the truth. Most likely that patron was there during USA vs Mexico so surprisingly enough bar was packed. The staff does there best and in those conditions patience is a must. Otherwise the staff is great and food is awesome. A must if you are in DT Orlando.

Wonderful glass of the black stuff at 11. Lovely. Came here to see If they were offering their weekend brunch on holiday Monday, but alas, the answer was no. Settled for sausage rolls, chips with curry sauce and grilled cheese sandwich. Fantastic quality and good prices. Must try this one If you are in Orlando.

Wow! The food was delicious! The bartender was really nice, too. We’ll definitely be coming back – can’t wait to try the full Irish breakfast on the weekend. Today, we had the sausage rolls, which came with a delicious bread and butter and hp sauce, the fries with curry sauce(homemade and so good I could have licked the bowl). We also split the celt sandwich, which has grilled cheddar cheese and a hardboiled egg as well as lettuce and tomato; it sounds like a strange combo but it tastes amazing! The portions were quite large, as well. Finally the atmosphere has a nice, cozy pub feel and if you like soccer(or football), they show all the games, even early morning ones.

On July 31st I wrote my initial review of the Harp & Celt, which was a critique due to poor customer service regarding refusal to serve a disabled person with a service dog. Immediately after I posted my review, I was contacted by the co-owner of the establishment, who apologized profusely, and who requested my family and I return as guests of the restaurant. I was also given the telephone number to contact Rick, B(the co-owner) directly; and when I did, he explained to me his prompt handling of the matter with his staff. Tonight(02 Aug 2015) we returned for a re-do, and were treated very well, as well as my SD being appropriately ignored(and complimented). The restaurant/pub is fairly small and intimate. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was was very good, especially the Shepherd’s Pie(which was delectable), and the bread pudding dessert(exquisite!). Rick, the co-owner, was extremely gracious, and spent much time chatting with us; again apologizing for our earlier experience, and talking militaria with my son(a pre-deployment soldier), my son’s fiancée and myself(an Army vet). The Boddington’s ale was chilled just right, and the Irish coffee was strong and hot. We were blessed to experience the Harp & Celt as a veteran-friendly establishment(Rick, the co-owner is a veteran and Blue Star father; and some of the wait staff are also veterans). Our faith is this restaurant/pub was restored, and we made a friend of Rick along the way. I recommend the Harp & Celt for good Irish food, a fine selection of beer, and a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Simply the best! I’ve been frequenting this authentic Irish Pub and restaurant for many years. The atmosphere is authentic(the beautiful mahogany bar), the staff are friendly and efficient, the drinks are strong, and the entire menu is delicious. A few of my faves are the Irish stew and the Cottage Pie. Their seafood soup is amazing as well!

This is my go to pub to watch some proper football on those early weekend mornings! The drinks are good and the food is even gooder. I always get the Irish breakfast which comes with Irish bacon, sausage, mushrooms, eggs, and beans. Pair that with a nice cup of tea or a Guinness and you’ve prepared for a great morning!

A true Orlando hidden gem. It’s on Robison off the main track or Orange Ave. you go into the old but modern building with these really old booths and a new bar. The food is great. We started with Scotch Eggs.(Hard boiled egg wrapped in Irish sausage, baked then cut into fours) such a unique flavor. I had the Rueben. The corned beef was very tender and fresh. We also had the steak and mushroom pie. The meat was tender, the sauce was robust with burgundy and mushrooms. The value is fantastic for what you get and the service is outstanding. We will be back to enjoy this hidden gem!

Stopped in for a quick lunch while traveling in Orlando. This pub is a block away from our office. The place was pretty cool inside and we were greeted immediately by a pleasant waitress. There was no one in the place when we got there, but within 30 minutes the place filled up and the bar was loaded as a european football game came on. folks were rowdy when the place was going their way. Good feel to the place. The food was pretty good and was served promptly and was hot when delivered. The fish and chips were ok. Someone else mentioned they were overpriced based on the serving size, but since I am from NY, it puts everything in perspective. I would stop back again the next time I am in town.

This pub is the real deal and has quickly become my go-to pregame dinner spot before Orlando City SC games. It has also replaced Fiddler’s Green as my favorite Irish spot north of the East-West. They have a short but decent draught list. A 20 ounce Imperial Pint of Cigar City Jai Alai is under $ 6! They also have Guinness and some other Anglo-Irish staple beers. The food is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. I’ve had the roast beef with onions and Swiss, the grilled chicken sandwich, the Irish stew, the shepherd’s pie, and the burger. All of them are excellent. Upcharge your side into the Celt Chips. The homemade, spiral-cut potato chips are incredible. Service is fast and friendly. If you are a fan of history, you can have a Guinness at the same table Barack Obama did when he was in town in 2011.(Yes, you can!)

Try the Irish Nachos! Such an awesome dish in a chill but great atmosphere. On any night you can enjoy a sporting event or come in on the weekends and always feel like you’re on the verge of doing a jig

While staying in downtown I asked the valet where there was a good irish pub and he recommended this place. Great call! Very cozy feeling with a good selection of beers… delicious food and plenty of irish whiskey. Went on a Saturday at noon and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice little crowd watching footie. drinking black and tans. and having lunch… made me a happy girl.(Especially since half the patrons at the bar were female so I didnt feel alone) Had the CELT sandwich… grilled cheddar with hard boiled egg. lettuce and tomato(sans tomato) yummy stuff. Girls next to me were having steak and mushroom pie as well as shepards pie. They looked very nicely done as well and I was told they were delicious. Had such a good time went back the next day for a repeat performance!
