Hung’s Custom Tailor Shop

I needed a pair of white pants hemmed and tapered by Saturday. I took my pants to Hung’s on Thursday at 6pm and they were ready on Friday by 3pm. The lady was very nice and she even offered to take me after they closed at 6. The quality was great. You have to be exact about what you want! Overall, I am very satisfied and I will bringing more pants here.

They had a garment for over a week for a simple hem and it wasn’t even started a day after they said it would be ready. They never called to say they were behind and I ended up making 3 trips in total sitting in traffic and dealing w the homeless man who begs outside their door. They’re are more efficient tailors in town who know customer service. Nothing but a hassle and over priced for the service.

Fast service and friendly staff. All my friends highly recommend it. Jenny was attentive to my needs and the time frame available. Will finish review once I pick up the items dropped off.

This place used to be great but not any more. Took my boyfriend’s James Perse cotton pants there to get altered. They came back with food stains all over and these stains did not come out. If they had tried to remove right away– probably would have come out but it was greasy and so didn’t. I figured everyone deserves one mulligan and so I went back to get a top taken in. Came back a week later, she couldn’t find and which happens sometimes. No big deal. Finally found it (I assume in the pile of things that have not been worked on) because she let me pay for it, I took it home and it was never altered. I took it back and she said she had altered it but you could tell by the fit and they stitching it was the same. I just left. They are very nice however I will drive to Winter Park for alternations from now on.

I’m glad I drove a little farther for this place. My husband used it and recommended it to me.
I definitely was a little last minute to go in and get my lace bridesmaid dress tailored (it just needed to be brought in) but they finished it even earlier than they said!
I’ll definitely go back next time I need something tailored.

This place is pretty decent. Fast, efficient. It will not blow you away with super cheap rates, but tailoring never seems to be. I have gotten what I wanted every time, and never left upset/​angry with the results. Which, in a tailor is a WIN to me. Fast turn around usually on items, and friendly service!

Good workmanship on my dress. Although it was a day late, the owner took great care of me. Highly recommend her!

I’ve used Unilocal forever but this is my first review because Jenny (owner/​seamstress) is so awesome. I came in with a very ill-​fitting bridesmaid dress that was made for me outside of the country based on some poorly taken measurements. Within less than a week, jenny basically took apart the whole dress and made major adjustments so it would flatter my body type. She’s a miracle worker, I highly recommend this shop :)

This is my first experience with Hung’s Tailors. Had my wedding dress and two other dresses tailored here. Jenny the owner and her team nailed it on the first try with my wedding dress! I cannot be more pleased. She is a sweet, soft-​spoken lady and soothed my nerves when the first cocktail dress didn’t fit right after first try. Upon second fitting, cocktail dress fit like a glove. Her prices and turnaround time were MUCH better than David’s Bridal, also. I will be bringing ALL of my clothes here in the future, should they need alterations.

I always am please with the alterations, suit jackets and pants. They manage to alter the cuff perfectly on all my sports coats. Quick turnaround too, same day if needed depending on what you need done. Thanks!

I stopped in here with my brother. He dropped off 2 suites for tailoring. They were very nice and professional. It took roughly 4 – 5 business days for the job to be done.
The cost was around $ 115 which isn’t cheap but isn’t expensive either– it’s worth the money for the quality he received.
Great place. I recommend it.

I needed an emergency alteration done for a wedding I came to attend in Orlando. The lady at the front desk, was very warm and polite. She alleviated my stress and frustration of not having the clothes fit right for the occasion. She maintained a high level of professionalism, and was very courteous. She was able to recreate the outfit for a better fit.
I highly recommend them. You will be pleased.

Fast and quality work. Had to have items sewn onto my biker vest and they did it in just a few hours with a high amount of customers. Will use often!

I bought a pair of custom made pants from Europe and had them shipped here. After a nightmare in customs they came to me all sorts of messed up, I couldn’t even fit my feet!
Thankfully it was taken care of here, they’re now normal pants and my favorite thing in my closet. The adjustments did cost me a lot more than I expected, but my pants are also made out of special fabric and even have special thread so I imagine it wasn’t easy to tailor.
Definitely coming back for all my future tailoring needs.

Hung’s always does a good job. I’ve taken everything from Men’s suits and women’s gowns for full alterations, to curtains for hemming. It’s definitely a hole, but they are quick and the prices are very fair.

I bought a new suit from an online store and brought it here for tailoring based on Unilocal reviews. I’m about 6’1″ and 140lbs soaking wet, so it’s always a chore to get things to fit my lanky limbs just right. I went in all prepared to explain every little thing I would need done… But Jenny beat me to the punch. Without skipping a beat, she had pinned the pants break just right, brought in the legs and waist, darted the jacket waist, shortened the sleeves right where they needed to be, and brought in the arms. I didn’t even have to ask for anything, it’s like she read my mind. She even made sure it was finished on time for my company holiday party, which was only a couple days after I dropped it off. Needless to say, I will be bringing anything that doesn’t fit right here in the future.

I brought two size 38″ jackets to Hung’s; I needed both brought in around the chest and the sleeves shortened. At the moment I’m happy with the results; they fit better and you can’t tell they have been altered. Tailoring is expensive period, so I won’t comment too much on the price as I’m not inclined to have clothes custom fit very often, but I think it was a reasonable price, and you can always bring it back if you’re not satisfied.
Having to make an appointment to pick them up was a bit inconvenient since I don’t live nearby.
Would definitely use Hung’s again, but I would also check prices at other local tailors too now that I have a sense of the cost and quality at Hung’s.

I took a suit, sports jacket and two pair of high end brand jeans to Hung’s to get tailor. I felt comfortable taking my clothing there after reading so many of the good reviews about their shop here on Unilocal.I felt so confident in their work that I didn’t even bother trying on the clothes before paying for them and leaving the shop.
I eventually tried the clothes on when I got home. The alterations to the suit and blazer were fairly simple… take a small amount out of the waist and shorten the sleeves. I was a little more worried about how the alterations to the jeans would turn out. I requested that they take some of the bell out of the legs and to shorten the length a considerable bit. The jeans fit PERFECT and they made sure to use the same stitching color that was already in the jeans. Just by looking, you wouldn’t be able to tell that I had the jeans altered.
I had to just come here and give them a great rating. I’d definitely refer anyone looking for great tailoring services to check them out.
One thing though, they do not accept AMEX cards, but other than that, no complaints.

There’s an old saying, «Fast, cheap or right — pick two.» Well at Hung’s you get to pick zero of those things, maybe after going back three times, it’s done right… maybe.
Over two weeks ago, I dropped off 4 pairs of pants to be hemmed, $ 12 per pair, which is okay, certainly not cheap, and one suit to get dry cleaned, $ 10 for the suit, also reasonable, but not cheap.
They told me to come back this past Monday, which I did. Turns out the suit was not ready yet (despite the fact that dry-​cleaning is at most a 3 days turn around and they had a full week), and the pants are «done.» I use quotes because that’s what they told me, not what was the truth. I get home only to find that they never sewed half of the pants… I can’t figure out how you miss that, but oh well… so I go back the next day, the lady tells me that they can do it while I wait (if that’s the case, why did you tell me it would be at least a week in the first place?)…I tell her I have to come back for my suit so I will just drop them off. I explain how I am frustrated it is going to be 4 trips here to get my order resolved, she says they will give me the dry cleaning for free.
I go back, my suit is done, the pants are done (actually done now), and then they tell me to pay for the dry cleaning… I explain the conversation from that morning (it was a new lady at the front, but the lady in the back was the one I spoke with), lady in the back says she doesn’t remember that… I explain that I came in this morning, had to come back 2 – 3 extra times to get this resolved, it’s been super inconvenient and this morning I was told the dry cleaning would be free… finally after some conversation between the employees that I can’t understand, they tell me fine, they will cover the dry cleaning…
Needless to say, I will not be back…

Needless to say, I have to get EVERY pair of pants altered.
I’ve had everything from a bridesmaid dress to multiple pairs of pants to suits for my bf done here and everything has been done professionally, fast and relatively inexpensive.
I buy the majority of my jeans from either Bloomingdales or Nordstrom and I used to get them altered there because they used the original hems. I’m so glad I discovered that Hungs will do the original hem too because they are much cheaper!
