I have been to this JCPenney location many times. Unfortunately this location is not as easy as busy as it used to be. In my case I quite enjoyed this. When I did find help, very pleasant, very courteous, and very willing to satisfy. They were having a sale on sportcoats. Now I’m a pretty big guy, so sometimes finding my size can be a challenge. I started to look through the racks, and located four sportcoats that fit me. I went to the register to pay. I explained to the young lady that did not have my JCPenny chargecard. She went above the call of duty, and located my information. She even rang me up as separate transactions, so I can use a promotional discount since it was only good per transaction. Now that’s what I call customer service. I will continue to be a loyal JCPenny customer.

Like almost every store at this mall, this location could use a face lift. It’s older and it shows. Merch is standard stuff and deals abound to temp shoppers since the brand overall has been having a hard time. This is a good spot to shop after a holiday has passed, especially the jewelery section. The women’s clothing area is decently kept. The shoes are very hit or miss. Sephora has a section here, which is actually really nice. They have pretty much everything you’d find at one of their regular spots. Overall: B– Needs some TLC, much like the whole mall.

This review is for the Sephora in the JCPennys. I knew that this Sephora would not have as large of a collection of makeup that the regular Sephora stores have, but it was the closest one to me and I wanted to get some tips from a beauty specialist on what under eye concealer I should use. At this Sephora you can make an appointment in advance and get a full makeover, but you must then purchase atleast $ 50 worth of beauty supplies or atleast a $ 50 giftcard from Sephora. You also have the option of getting a mini makeover, which is free, does not require an appointment and only focuses on one part of your face. Though the store was short staffed for the day(the employee told me that one girl had called out sick) and they were super slammed with customers, the employee(forget her full name, but it began with Mel) was extremely sweet and attentive. I never once felt rushed as she tried numerous products on me and allowed me to take time and decide. I was worried that I would be rushed to make a decision and would not be given great customer service, but I am happy to say that I was wrong. The reason I give this place 3 stars is that it was not as well organized as other Sephora’s I have been to and not very clean(I could see spots of dust and makeup stains throughout the counters of the store). I also give it 3 stars because of the selection. I was hoping that they would have had a much more larger makeup selection.

JCPENNY is were I get most of my work clothes and for a great price. This one seems like the layout of the store could change… it just feels disorganized, even though it’s not.

I have never even thought to review a department store. But the disaster of this place compelled me. The mall is, as others have noted, subpar. This particular department store is a complete disappointment. Selection is terrible. Lingerie and plus size is upstairs right next to the housewares and the only fitting room is for ‘girls.’ Because you definitely want to think about your babies when you look for undergarments. And of course it would be terrible for those plus size ladies to be anywhere near the ‘misses’ or «normal» sizes. In the men’s sections, things were cluttered and messy. The Sephora is meant to help, but actually was surprisingly bad. I love Sephora, but at this location they have limited selection, are laid out poorly, and makeup is a mess. Won’t be returning to this JCPenney. In fact, how is this department store as a whole still in business. Remember Montgomery Ward? Yep. Heading that way.

The Sephora in JCPenny clearly didn’t want my business and didn’t want to help me out when I was about to purchase $ 100+ worth in makeup. You’re better off driving an extra 30 minutes to another mall.

Nobody was working the men’s suit department and the fitting rooms were locked. Couldn’t even find anyone to ask for assistance. I know it’s in a run down mall but hire a few people.

SHAME on you jcp! INSULTING larger women by putting their clothing upstairs away from all others except children and lingerie. Why don’t you put the size 42 and up men’department separate floors as well? However, kudos to Emy for taking my rant in stride!

It has a **Sephora** now so the suck level fell dramatically. Rest assured, the mall still sucks. At least now there’s reason to go. Salesman was nice. I bought a nice watch at a fair price. I had to wait around a while for him to take care of other customers, then I had to come back another day to pick the watch up for the discount. Annoying but I’ll return if I need to.

This J.C. Penney is located in Orlando Fashion Square Mall. I think this store was added to the mall in 1990, or sometime around there. This J.C. Penney store is is not one of the best ones to shop at. It’s kind of old looking, and has a musty smell. The carpet also has old gum on it, and also is torn and tattered in many places. Usually, the customer service is pretty good, unless it’s around Thanksgiving and Christmastime, when they insist they they’re «too busy» to help you. Sometimes, they will just tell you to look for whatever it is you’re wanting, and if you don’t see it, they don’t have it. It is sometimes hard to find the size of clothes that you need, but I guess that’s to be expected at any store.
