Kobe Japanese Steakhouse

I am writing this review not necessarily because of the quality of the food. We have been to other locations several times and we knew it would be good. I would like to say how great the staff and management were to us on our visit tonight. After we were seated one of the people at our table began making negative remarks about children to her boyfriend. These remarks were clearly directed towards my two year old son. My wife was very upset by this and we asked them to put us at another table. When we told them what had been said they were very comforting to her and moved us immediately. They were very attentive throughout the rest of our meal and made what could have been a bad experience a very pleasant one. In hindsight I wish I had gotten the names of the one waitress and manager of the store who were extremely professional and ensured we had a pleasant night. We will be returning for the great food and customer service.

This place has great atmosphere and the food quality was excellent. More experienced/​attentive bar staff & wider selection of sushi would have earned 5 stars.

Night started off… we had reservations… yeah those didn’t matter as were seated well after our time. Once we were seated it took at least 10 – 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there. Once our orders were eventually taken… I asked for no soup, double salad… and no noodles, double rice. There were several different people doing everything so I can see how this became a problem. I received a soup, which just sat there… and received one salad, but they gave a salad to my son which I just took. I told the cook about no noodles, and double rice… he put a big of glop of noodles on my plate which I just gave my son, and he did give 2 bowls of rice, but it was annoying that your at somewhere very pricey and your requests aren’t being taken. The end result, the food was very good. I just wish the service matched it. By the end of the night everyone had gotten up and left the table as everything was taking forever, but we were waiting for our dessert and for the birthday song to be played for my husband. It is like it was a inconvenience for them to do it but we weren’t leaving as that was what we were there.

It’s a nice looking restaurant with the standard Japanese teppanyaki chef performing a show for the diners, continuing to introduce new variations and tricks. The chef juggle utensils, toss an egg up in the air and split it with a spatula, and arrange onion rings into fire-​shooting volcanoes. The SO and I usually come here for the teppanyaki. The tables seat 10 so you better like sitting with complete strangers.
The meal starts with clear soup and salad, and you pick your protein (the scallops are the best). They ask if there are any allergies at the table and cook that person’s before the shellfish. All meals are served with noodles, vegetables and rice. It is also included with 2 sauces to dip your meat in – garlic sauce and a ginger.
The meal is definitely well priced for the entertainment value and the amount of food you receive. This place is known for special occasions. It is a fun place to celebrate. We would go there once in awhile to be entertain.

The sushi was good no spectacular but fresh with decent flavor. I had a sake sprinter which was more carbonation than sake but it was still good.

I have experience this Kobe’s and wasn’t impress with the food. I do love sushi and steak, but I have been to better Japanese steakhouses than this. Sorry got to give it 2 stars.

I love this place. I wish they were open for lunch during the week. They should open more sushi tables, too.

Took my mom for her first time and she loved it. We tried to make it for the early bird special, but the weather prevented that from happening. Keep in mind it’s only from 5−6pm. Which is a little crazy to me. So if you can’t make that I recommend going at after 9pm when they offer the 2 can eat for $ 30 with drink and appetizer specials. Otherwise it’s a little pricey. She ordered the chicken $ 16 and I had the shrimp $ 21. All meals come with veggies, noodles, fried rice, soup and salad. The meal was good, but it seemed like this cook used extra butter. Keep this for a cheat meal X2 because you will have leftovers.

Ate here while on vacation in Florida for my daughter’s wedding the food was terrible very expensive very very greasy absolutely would never go back

Have gone here several times for birthdays and other events. Always a blast! The hibachi chief we had tonight was hilarious and kept the group laughing the entire time. I had a sangri which was made very well. We arrived after 9pm so we had the dinner special (3 entrees for 2 people — $ 36), it’s a great deal! The shrimp was amazing and the steak was cooked a perfect medium. It was my boyfriends birthday so they sang to him, put on a silly hat, and had a candle in a cupcake for him. They not only make amazing food (and a lot of it! Always left overs to take home), but also keep you very entertained! Will continue to come to Kobe’s!

This place use to be a regular for my wife and I about a year or so ago. After our last 2 return visits, we will NOT return to this place again. Service was never a strong spot for the place, the food was consistently good. Lately, service is well, SUCKS. Everyone seems to be walking around lost and unsure of what they are doing.
My simple off the menu order was wrong, to ad insult to injury, it was Luke warm and I found a piece of aluminum foil in my food (could have done damage had it been eaten.)
Pick another restaurant.

Love this place! Food and atmosphere is always perfect. Always a good time.

Last week, come for my mother’s birthday, two years ago got a discount — that time looked at her drivers license, this time, «you have to book it eight days before your birthday through an online process if you want to get the discount.» «special membership expired after 1 year» DUH! —!!!” Instead of taking the hit and getting the business, and possible repeat business they’ve chosen to never see me again or my family because of the hassle of making a reservation — on Wednesday! Then to drive there fight traffic and find, we don’t operate that way anymore.
With two other Asian restaurants of similar stripe nearby, and a terrible wrote fight to get to this one how long are they going to last? This type of policy makes me want to short Kobe’s stock. I suspect if I go look at it I’ll find someone else already has… Shortsighted accountants ruin business —

It was a friend’s birthday and we made a reservation for 9pm to get that special. Food was good and so were the drinks. Our server though, was quick and we felt rushed to order. Other than that it was a good time.

Had lunch here yesterday (Sunday). The early bird (5pm — 6pm) specials are good for lunch time hours too. I had the veggie delight which is a bargain at $ 10. You get soup/​salad, tons of delicious veggies, rice/​pasta, and all the white sauce you want! I loved our Chef (Chef Kou). He was awesome and so entertaining. The food was delicious and service was great.

I love this location for the bar area alone. The wait is always crazy but if you can slip in at the bar, grab a few drinks, and have a sushi roll or two you won’t be disapointed!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food is great, the service is wonderful and the ambiance is absolutely fantastic. Our Japanese chef Chris was a five star show on top of the great food he prepared. I definitely recommend the restaurant!

Great food as usual, the holiday menu was fantastic.
For the first time got a chef that didnt do a single cooking gag! Was very disappointing, not even an onion volcano or «egg roll» joke.

I know that many in the city of Orlando talk highly of this establishment. To me, it’s only a special occasion place and then not that often. I have goods and bads.
Good-​At 7 p.m., it wasn’t busy at all.
Bad-​I was the only one in the restaurant who spoke Japanese.
Good-​The server was very professional and attentive.
Bad-​The chef appeared to be quick and quiet. He only seasoned with lots of butter and a little salt. What happened to the traditional Japanese seasonings? The fried rice only has egg and a little salt in it.
Good-​The meat/​fish items chosen were all very tender and cooked perfectly.
Bad-​The salad with its dressing was the worst thing eaten. The lettuce was just iceberg and the ginger dressing seemed too sweet.

I’m definitely a fan of Kobe! You get a good bang for your buck– salad, soup, grilled vegetables, noodles, fried rice, and your protein entrée all for once price! The thing that does it for me more so than Benihana are the more affordable prices and the white sauce! That white sauce is made from the gods. You put the sauce on your veggies, noodles, rice, and protein.
Since it’s so much food, I always break it up and eat half there and take the rest for lunch the next day. Make sure to ask for white sauce to go.
The happy hour specials are pretty great. It includes some wine and cocktails along with a few appetizers. You have to sit by the bar area but it has a few TVs so it’s entertaining at the least.
Another tip– sign up for their mailing list for a $ 30 off coupon during your birthday month. Since the prices are affordable, the $ 30 enables you to purchase a pricier menu item like scallops, filet mignon, and even lobster. Your birthday coupon also includes a cute little cupcake!
