I have been passing by this place for years as my sister has a condo nearby and got a chance to try it when she suggested we do their 2-for-1 Tuesdays. I got the Madison Square which is the cheese less vegetable pizza and it was absolutely delicious! The extra cheese pizza made it a great deal and I was able to give it away. I wish I had gotten larger than the 10″ personal pizza because I ate it so fast and was craving more! My nephew got the barbecue chicken pizza and I was impressed at the large chunks of white chicken breast on it. I’m so glad I tried this place finally. We called in the order and picked it up, there were a couple patrons inside and the waitresses there were friendly and told me to have a seat while I waited for my last pizza to finish up. Great place!

I love NYPD pizza! I’ve visited other locations and I love the food. The one on Universal Boulevard always is especially excellent. Three stars according to Unilocal is «A-OK». I cannot in good conscience say that. Two stars is meh, I’ve experienced better. I feel I’ve gotten better everything at other NYPD locations, so 2 stars it is!

This place is pretty good. Not really my style of pizza, but I still like it. Last night I went out and got a calzone, just to spice up my food life. It was pretty good! It had ricotta cheese in it, as well as mozzarella and pepperoni. In my opinion, it had a lil too much cheese, because I tried to cut it up with a fork and knife, and all that really did was squeeze the cheese out of the open end of the calzone, and in the end I had to just pick it up and eat it like I was some lumberjack. The atmosphere of the restaurant is unique and original, with actual NYPD stuff on the walls, from old newspapers, to police clubs and badges and the like. There were also a few tvs with sports coverage and news on them. Overall I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5. It’s a good place if you wanna just chill and have a slice or a salad or their *really* good garlic knots. Family and pet friendly as well! The employees are helpful when you need them. I would recommend NYPD to a friend after their first choice restaurant was too crowded or something like that.

The pizza was really delicious! I loved the crispy crust! Prices a bit high, but it is well worth it to eat at a local pizzeria instead of a typical pizza-chain.

Wow!!! I know most people prefer thin crust pizza, but we ordered the Sicilian which is a truly fantastic doughy, cheesy pizza. The best pizza we have had for quite some time. The service was skillful and unobtrusive. I would highly recommend this place for fresh delicious pizza and a comfortable dining experience.

This place has gone downhill in terms of service and cleanliness. When I lived in Orlando, I used to love this place and thought it was the best pizza around. However, on a recent visit with my family on a Saturday evening, the pizza was still tasty, but everything else was lacking. The service was generally inept, and indicated a lack of effective training. It started with the waitress saying they no longer accepted the Unilocal check-in deal for free garlic knots, and that they had not done so for«a couple of years.» If so, follow-up with Unilocal and stop offering it, and honor the coupon instead of telling me I’m wrong. And now as I read the reviews, I see someone successfully redeemed the offer just a couple days before we were there… this doesn’t make any sense. Beyond that, the service was slow and forgetful. We often had to repeat things or clarify our order, which was not terribly complicated. Half sausage, half meatball on a large pizza, which was repeated. When the pizza arrived, it was all mixed together. It wasn’t a huge problem, but with everything else shows a lack of comprehension and/or attention to detail by the staff at multiple levels. The food is still good, and although the garlic knots were not as good as I remember, the pizza is still among the best around. The restaurant also felt a bit sticky. Not unhygienic-level of unclean, but in need of a thorough scrub and buff. Maybe it’s best to stick to carry-out or delivery so you experience only the food. Otherwise, I hope they’re able to up the level of service, as this place used to be great. Fun fact: this chain of restaurants is/was owned by former boy band manager Lou Pearlman. Maybe if he gets paroled the service will improve?

Just got off the plane and came to the pizza place with the highest reviews! Fun little joint with good pie. Not to greasy but just greasy enough. Excellent selection of toppings. The garlic knots were free with Unilocal checkin!!!

It was just okay. We had a cheese pie, garlic knots(rolls) and wings. It wasn’t our favorite and the service left a lot to be desired. Too bad we don’t get a do over on this one, but they did get a chance to do it right. On to better places!

This is your typical, casual pizza place and a great spot for lunch. We had two large pizzas for 7 of us. One was cheese and the other had pretty much everything on it. I have to say I was impressed with both but, although I am a self– proclaimed purist, I really enjoyed the pizza with everything on it more than the other.

We drove pretty far to eat here and the drive was worth it. On the way there I was day dreaming about how I would love to eat some really good pizza, and how it would kinda taste. When we arrived, our waitress, Mariah, was helpful and provided great service. My pizza was really good. I ate the whole thing, which I really should not be doing, but life is a happier place with yummy food. Do go if you have a chance and you will walk away full and truly happy you did!

That’s a good pizza pie! I prefer a little sweetness in red sauce so that is the only thing lacking for me!

I honestly WISH there was a NEGATIVE star — but there isn’t. Not only was my order wrong — but it was COLD upon delivery AND the guy that answered the phone, literally laughed and basically said, oh well. The ONLY reason I ordered from here is because PISAPIZZA doesn’t deliver until 5. I knew better because this has happened before. So, I guess, it’s my fault. NEVEREVEREVER going back here. Crappy food is one thing — but CRAPPIER customer service is a whole different level. Congrats, NYPD… you won for both.

We came here for my step-son’s birthday dinner and overall had a good experience. The owner or manager came and chatted with us for a while and was nice. The food was good and consistent with the other locations Ive been to. I had the cobb salad and we shared the wings and pepp pizza. The service wasn’t that good and she seemed very un-interested in taking good care of us. She disappeared for awhile as well. We also heard a kitchen member hocking up a loogie while they were making our food… which isnt good. We will definitely be back(hopefully not with the same server and loogie-less) in the near future!

Authentic NY pie! Light flaky crust with just enough crunchy. Great cheese slice and for a real treat ask for the Queens Deluxe it’s stellar. The calzone is huge and very tasty as well. The service was fast and friendly as well. Thanks Ashley!

This place was so delicious! After a not so tasty pizza slice experience at a local pizza spot, I was really pleased to go into this place with a couple coworkers and have a better experience. NYPD is located in a tiny little strip plaza(next to a Brazilian Sushi & Taco place… uhhhh WHAT?!), and it’s a cute little corner shop. They have about 20 tables and a large counter area where you can see into the kitchen. When we got there, there was only one other table, but as we enjoyed our lunch, a few other tables came in and out. For lunch, they have a handful of specials, including 2 slices or a slice and a salad for just $ 6. I opted for a slice and salad, and their salad was so fresh and tasty! The balsamic vinaigrette was refreshing, and the slice was delicious. NYPD is by no means a fancy place. It’s perfect for a quick lunch though, and their pizza is much tastier than the other local slicery! I’ll be back… especially since they have a slice of the day, which features a different type of slice each day of the month! Yum!

I love this place! They have a slice of the way for only a dollar and they have a calendar that tells you what kind of slice it is for that month. Their pastas are pretty damn good too. Make sure you try the garlic knots because it’s the bomb!

The pizza here is pretty good but like most other reviews the staff needs some work. If you go in later in the evening they look at you like you’re a bother. The guys behind the counter and in the kitchen are the worst. They are not welcoming. Once came here and the waitress spilled an entire glass of water on my mother in law. Now normally it would be hilarious but she wasn’t even apologetic about it. Same night I ordered a salad which never arrived. But it sure was on the bill? Its a shame to cause their pizza isn’t bad. And they make Zeppoles. Another place that got too popular all at once and forgot about something called customer service. Hello Paul this was about 2 months ago. I haven’t returned since. There is a young lady who was actually very helpful once. And i told the guy who said he was the manager how good she was and this guy looked at me like«yeah so». I don’t remember her name but she was very nice. He on the other hand was not.

The last time I was here, here everything was great, but it seemed like they’ve stepped up their game recently. I was never a fan of their chicken Alfredo but I’ve noticed that they’ve changed their chicken and Alfredo sauce. They actually make both in house and it’s amazing! A friend of mine ordered one and when I tried it I was blown away. It’s not some pre-made sauce. They actually make it for each individual portion served. Next time I go there, that’s what I’m getting. That and probably a Tri-State Chicken salad because damn it if I can’t get out of there without ordering one.

OMG this place makes me believe in love at first bite! I am a pizza fanatic and I could probably eat it every single day. So when the craving hit for a slice of white pizza, I wanted to find a place that offered the best, and I found that at NYPD. I ordered a personal white pizza, the menu states that it feeds one, but two people can easily be satisfied with this option. It was so flavorful and cheesy, I’m drooling just thinking about it! I also had the opportunity to tray their calzone. It was a little pricey, but after tasting it, I’d gladly pay that amount again. The calzone with only cheese is at a base price and you pay for each additional ingredient. I called my order in and picked it up so I can not speak to their table service. The establishment was neat and clean and was decorated to the theme of NYPD and the walls were plastered with awards that they’ve received throughout the years for their food. It was near closing when I arrived, but the employees I encountered both on the phone and in person were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. I am definitely going to be a frequent customer here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good slice! Checking in with Unilocal at the Hiawassee location gives you two free garlic knots when you dine in
