Publix

Love this publix but the people who bag my groceries always seem to hate their job and throw my groceries in my paper bag. I just had to re bag my groceries when I got to my car. I was able to leave to empty brown paper bags in my cart. What a waste of paper and money.

This has been my Publix for 5 years and I hope it always will be. Every time I’m there everything is always very clean, the customer service is impeccable and they always have everything in stock. I hear some people complain about the parking, but for a downtown location I don’t think it’s bad at all. I will always choose this Publix over any other in the Orlando area.

This store is in a compact location and they make the most of the space. It reminds me of stores in New York. The level of service I receive from every worker is very excellent. Everyone has a very good attitude and exhibit a level of care I am not used to in other stores nearby. The Deli here is probably my favorite section and it can get very busy. I ordered a sub and the quality and value were really good. All of the workers do their best to make sure you get exactly what you want and are very pleasant. (I think the lady who helped me was Darlene.) This is a great store and they seem to know what products are important.

I love my neighborhood Publix. Although this is a small store, it is well stocked with very friendly staff. The store has adequate parking (although can be packed during the busy times). The store is accessible for walkers and has a bike rack at the front.
The store is organized well and all easy to navigate. The produce section has a decent selection of organic fruits and vegetables.
The best part of Publix is the staff. Everyone always says hello and is happy to stop what they are doing to show you to a product you are looking for or help in any way. They are also happy to order and stock special product requests, so if you’re looking for something, ask customer service!
Checkout lines move quickly and it’s easy to get in and out. It’s a small store, but it does the trick!

I love Publix, so this review is difficult for me to write. This store is most convenient to my house, but if I have the option, I go to a different one, or a different retailer. I don’t mind the size, Lake Eola is also small… but this one doesn’t carry many items. I have left disappointed multiple times and a few of those times it was due to their failure to carry products that were on sale — BOGO for that matter. Their produce is missing several main varieties… Additionally this store does not have friendly associates. I have never been impressed by the customer service which is disappointing.

I always expect the best at Publix. They have great customer service, clean and neat store presentation. But this Publix I don’t plan on going to again. I went to order a sub and for every ingredient they needed to run to the back and pull out of a box. Linda at the Deli, I hope she has better days. She didn’t put any attention to what I was ordering, and then argued that I asked for things that I clearly didn’t ask for. She proceeded to slap on my toppings like the sub was coming out of her paycheck. Then tossed it on the counter. Management was not available to provide feedback.

Apparently, this is one of the oldest publix stores in town. The product quality of their goods is just as any other Publix you could visit. However, the place is small and there’s little room between the aisles.
This store feels crowded and crammed up. It doesn’t feel as clean and comfortable as other newer, bigger Publix stores (like the ones around Conway). It also has less variety because of its size.
In a hurry and around the area, I wouldn’t mind stopping here again. But, if I got to choose, I’d drive some extra miles to one of the nicer Publix stores!

I will walk you thru from outside in. This is a smaller Publix by about half the size however it is still fairly busy so the parking lot can get a little congested depending on the time you go. However there is always parking available, just may not be close to the doors.
As I mentioned this is a smaller Publix, but so far they seem to always have what I’m looking for from produce to dairies, to meats and even non grocery items like toiletries, pet supplies and food, and art supplies and cleaning products. Makes it hard to think what else would be in one of the larger stores that they don’t have here. Although this is a small store it is well stocked and well organized. They have a pretty nice wine selection as well.
The produce always looks fresh and crisp and is changed out regularly. I never see over ripe food on the shelf more than a day past when you would actually want to buy it. They have a bakery where they whip up some awesome and delicious deserts. I’ve tried many of them and have liked each one with the exception of a cupcake that was a little dry but that was just a one time occurrence. The bakery staff is really friendly and approachable and will answer all and any of your questions. They will even slice your loaf to what ever thickness you want upon request.
The seafood department is knowledgeable and friendly and the prices on seafood however a little on the high side is very fresh. They have a hot foods and deli department but I have never used those services so won’t comment much on that other than the staff always says high when you walk by and it looks clean.
The check out staff is super awesome. They always ask if plastic is ok or if would prefer paper. They even always offer to help load groceries in the car. When my daughter is with me they always give her a balloon for free from customer service which she loves and is very nice of them to do so. I live this neighborhood Publix.

This isn’t a «big» Publix, but it’s a «comfortable» Publix. You know, if I could wear a supermarket like an old hat, this would be it.
Sure, it’s convenient since it’s only minutes away from my house. And yes, I like the green flat lines that decorate the façade. There’s also Mike, the guy who works at the seafood counter — he’s awesome.
But there’s also a decent organic produce section (pretty good for this small sized supermarket) and Publix has a knack for branding their own stuff (check out the «Greenwise» labels, for instance). I also like the fact that I can go get grass-​fed buffalo meat if I want. Don’t forget the Ezekiel bread, the wine section, their famous subs, and the fried chicken. (Before I changed my diet I used to raid their box of unbreaded-​hot wings a few times a week, not to mention their case of fresh everything bagels).
Sure, they are like all other «regular» supermarkets in that they carry mostly processed foods that are horrible for you, but hey, why penalize them for catering to the mainstream?
The only thing I would say to Publix is: be careful — Fresh market is slowly creeping up on you when it comes to my shopping habits.

Went into store around 1:30pm on 1÷29÷15. I went up to bakery section to buy daughter a cake. The man behind counter ask person beside me if he needed any help, the person replied no. the man behind counter then roll his eyes at me, and walk away. I don’t care if you like me because of the color of my skin. My problem is you shouldn’t take a job were you deal with the pubic and have a racists attitude. I wouldn’t buy from this bakery if your black, no telling what this person may put in food.

Definitely a smaller store compared to other Publix locations, or even compared to a grocery store in Target, but it seems to always have what I need. There’s still a bakery, meat department, deli and all that good stuff so it’s not like walking into a 7 – 11 grocery mart or anything. For being where it is, it’s usually pretty easy to get in and out and on your way. It can get a little silly on holidays but other than that I’ve never not found a parking spot. Staff has always been friendly as well. It is nice that in the smaller size of the store there’s still a good selection of wine. Some of the stuff is confusing to find and the layout is a little goofy but you get used to it after a few passes.

I was shopping for an ill friend and had an entire list of items that I don’t normally buy and was shopping in a Publix I don’t normally shop at. I was certainly setup for disaster… but don’t you forget that this is still Publix, where customer service is king (and «Where Shopping Is a Pleasure», of course).
You see, I pride myself on my grocery shopping abilities. Go ahead and laugh but If I had updated my resume in the past 5 years, it would be on there. Seriously though, I’m a grocery shopping ninja; I go in with a plan and execute said plan expertly with only the rare variance (damn BOGO calypso cookies from the bakery!!)
Anyways, my seemingly ill fated mission was salvaged by an employee who I swear materialized right before my eyes in my time of need, ready to help me find one trickiest of items… Kleenex folded hand towels, 60 count. Right near the Kleenex tissues? that would be too easy. Perhaps nestled next to the paper towels? try again.
After a quick wave of his wand, blink of his eyes, and twitch of his nose (okay, he just pointed and then walked me over to them) the employee used his GSL (grocery location senses) to immediately locate the item and guide me to it.
With that, I averted a nightmare of a grocery strip. Was it the most efficient trip in my long history of grocery shopping successes filled with many accolades? No, but it was memorable.
Speaking of memorable… that time directly after this one where I manage to haul $ 200 worth of groceries to the 25^th floor of The Vue without the use of a cart in only 2 trips? …now that was memorable! Maybe I’ll add that to my resume too… whenever I finally get around to updating it…
INSIDER TIP
Small and cramped inside compared to most other Publix locations… even the carts are tiny. I believe this is one of the older locations and thus it’ll be probably stuck this way.

I love shopping local, but value the convenience and price at Publix like any other person. This is a smaller store as it’s been around for a while and they just finished a renovation.
I am always surprised by the level of customer service at this shop. The folks at the bakery are always incredibly friendly and helpful. As are the cashiers.
There are a few big chain grocery stores that treat their employees terribly and it translates to the customer through unhappy workers with unpleasant attitudes (among other outcomes). This doesn’t seem to be the case here. The employees recognize repeat customers and they are always ready with a smile. I’m a smiley, chatty person, and I really appreciate this.
Finally, I got a prescription here one day because the doctor told me that they provide all antibiotics for free! Whether you are an existing pharmacy customer or not! I don’t know how they do this, but I’ve seen a lot of people taking advantage of this deal and I’m glad they’re able to get affordable medicine.

I live right down the street. It’s convenient. But lately the staff, the food, now changing the whole layout is really frustrating. Now I can’t find anything! I eat only organic they used to have a fairly good amount now it’s half gone. Lets get with the times here folks!!!
Rude staff at times and could care less if you needed help. They can’t even find where the items are located. Very disappointed looks like baldwin park from now on.

If you live here this is the Publix you go to, you definitely don’t drive out of your way to come to this one though, since it’s definitely a neighborhood Publix. It’s not bad, it’s a normal friendly, clean, Publix, it’s just very small.
Aside from the small size, the deli is great, but the bakery is so small I usually see limited quantities of items.
The parking layout is a little weird and honestly, you see some folks that have no idea how to park. It’s like your grandma is stuck in a life sized puzzle and all the end pieces are missing – a little sad.
If you prefer something bigger, a little cheaper, and more ample parking that isn’t too far away, try the Sodo Super Target. If you’re just running in to grab cheese, eggs, or milk, this Publix works.

Seriously, I just use this location for the ATM. It is outside and although there is sometimes a line, people tend to give adequate space in between.

Publix is King. For cleanliness, for customer service and for quality of products carried. If you want top notch cold cut meats, Boar’s Head is tough to beat. If you are looking for a deal then pay close attention to their BOGO’s. Everything else «buyer beware.» Like I’ve said about other grocers, «know your prices», Publix does not always have the best price.

Tiny Publix is tiny! The parking lot is ample, though, and there’s overflow parking to the south, so at least that issue doesn’t exist. Cool architecture since it is an older store location. Always clean inside (it’s a Publix!)
Seafood guy is super friendly and there is always an ample supply of fried chicken to be had at the deli. Hoagie line can get ridiculously long during weekday lunch hours. I mostly shop the perimeter of the store so the small size of the store rarely results in any complaints on my part as there are only so many different kinds of meat and veg you can stock. But, for a store in the middle of our Asian area I’d expect a bigger aisle of ethnic fixin’s. Overall it’s a good basic convenient supermarket.

The only place to shop… but now the Target downtown is a super target with food. I rather go to Target then pay these prices. Their meat department is priced like the hamburger meat is laced with gold. When I want deli meat or anything else I go to winn dixie. Then Target for everything else.
The prices are too extreme here. The selection is mediocre. Its like fitting a supermarket in a large house and calling it a publix. Most of the items will be 25% more than target or walmart. Location location location.
Pros
The shrimp is usually on sale for about $ 7/​lb in the seafood dept.
They have boar’s head meats and cheeses.
If you are into organic they have a section for you.
Cons
No koolaid in the premade containers. Come on. lol
Selection is low. Prices are high.
Vegetable/​fruits section could fit inside my bedroom.
They close before my bedtime.
Future:
A salad bar/​buffet would be awesome for this location. Not sure where they would put it though. Suspended from the ceiling? :)

This is an older, smaller publix right in my neighborhood. Super easy to run in and out of so in between this location and the one near Lake Eola, I usually stop here.
It’s a normal publix but I have to give props to the pharmacy, very friendly and almost always on their game!
Parking can be pretty terrible sometimes though just cause of the layout.
