Good portions on the food. Nice outside atmosphere.

One of my favorite places to people watch as it is directly on the bank of Orlando’s beloved Lake Eola. My boyfriend ordered the Philly once and wasn’t impressed much. I always get their buffalo chicken in a pita and it’s DELICIOUS. The fries and very seasoned and yummy and their fried pickles are awesome. Fun place to grab lunch and/or drinks with friends. The only thing that is not so good is that you are subject to the weather since it’s primarily outdoors(with cover, but still) and parking is never fun around that area, unless you get lucky, usually you’re lapping the lake a couple times to find street parking.

Bottom Line: Poor Business Decision So I walk around the lake and want to stop in for a drink and a bite to eat. There is one side of the patio that is in full sun. There are 4 high top chairs empty and 3 tables empty. The shady side is full. I notice one side of the bar on the shady side is completely empty. I ask if I can move one of the high top chairs from the sunny side over to the empty bar on the shady side — so I can spend money on food and drinks. The waitress looked at me, tilted her head, thought for a nano second and said«Ummm, no, you can’t do that, I’m sorry» Hmmmmm, here I sit in the shade right outside of the place and there are exactly ZEROPAYING customers sitting in those chairs. They are empty going on 30 minutes now. Sat and watched 2 couples look for seats and then walk out. Busy Sunday — Mother’s Day and I just watched them lose ~$ 75 in 30 min. Empower your employees to act on the fly!

Got the Chicken Stir Fry, it was prime. Rebecca was our waitress and very solid. I won’t get«Big Wave» beer again. Very one-dimensional and not that satisfying. But that has nothing to do with the quality of this spot. It was a very relaxing view of the lake while we ate a peaceful lunch. Try and score the table in the far corner, farthest from the door. Id recommend this restaurant over and over.

A decent restaurant as long as you go with some what low expectations, Relax is the type of place where one enjoys the view and is not looking for anything complex from the kitchen. Relax has no real hostess so when we came in we just wandered about until one of the servers told us we could have a seat anywhere. I noticed during our time there we weren’t the only ones who looked confused when they came in. Anyways, the waitress was nice and we ordered our food. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my wife the wings. The wings were pretty good but the french fries were way too over seasoned. The burger was decent and very filling. Of special mention was the bacon on the burger. Loved the fact that it was thick cut bacon and it was not bad. Also, it should be noted that the portions are very generous and there is no reason why anyone should leave here hungry. On a side note, the lack of a bathroom is incredibly disappointing. I understand that perhaps the location is not ideal but any establishment that sells food should have a bathroom. You can exit the restaurant and there is a bathroom somewhere(not really sure since the directions to it are not clear). If you go on a nice day, this place is pretty«relaxing» as the name implies. It’s a no frills restaurant that seems more comfortable as a bar than a traditional by the lake restaurant. If you looking for drinks than this place will serve you well.

The food is COMPLETEGARBAGE, but the location allowed it to even earn a star. Eat before you come. Not sure who decided to come up with their menu and how they prepare things, but they need to bring in someone new to fix this food asap.

Awesome place to eat and drink outside when the weather is nice. Love all the dogs hanging on the porch with their owners, the awesome rocking chairs, and the great view of Lake Eola. It really is very relaxing! Service is always friendly, too. I love the gyro combo salad with chicken — it’s basically a huge Greek salad and comes with pita bread, tzatizki sauce or hummus. They make their own hummus, and it’s sooo good with a little spicy kick. Good daily drink specials and $ 10 all you can drink beer and wine happy hour on Fridays. Even if you aren’t there during a special, drinks are never expensive. My only complaints are that service can be realllyyyyyyyy slow sometimes and that smoking is allowed. Not enjoyable eating a meal when the table next to you is chain smoking cigarettes. Other than that, I highly recommend this place when it’s not too hot outside. Just don’t come here if you are in a rush, because quick service is not their focus.

Always a fun place to go to people watch and enjoy the outdoors. Went last Sunday for lunch during the food and wine festival. Server was not the fastest but food came fairly quick and was yummy. I always tend to get sauces on the side as they sometimes overdo it on the wrap sauces(buffalo sauce/hot sauce sometimes drenches wrap). Otherwise I like this place!

A very casual outdoor place next to Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. Pretty good prices for what we had. $ 7 for a nice-sized tasty frozen drink is not bad. I had the blackened mahi-mahi and it was delicious and substantial for $ 16!!! I did not go hungry. My friend had a stir-fry veggie dish(she’s vegetarian), which she enjoyed. The servers were friendly and not pushy. My only complaint is the metal chairs and tables aren’t exactly that easy to get too comfortable eating in. If I lived around there, it would definitly be a regular destination.

Relax Grill is a decent little open-air restaurant situated right off of Lake Eola, but it isn’t much more than average. I went to Relax with my wife, mother, and dog after enjoying some time at the Lake Eola Farmers Market. I had been wanting to check the place out since moving to Orlando, so I thought this would be a great opportunity. There wasn’t anyone there to greet us, so we sat ourselves and a waitress quickly brought over some menus. The area was somewhat clean, and I appreciated that the seats and table were wiped down and free of any rainwater from earlier in the day. However, the restaurant itself didn’t have bathrooms, so we were all forced to use the subpar public bathrooms next door. Our party ordered a wide range of dishes. I ordered the Mahi sandwich. It was a pretty good sandwich that filled me up quite well, but it wasn’t any better than any other Mahi sandwich I had at other restaurants. My wife ordered the gyro platter, which she stated was ok aside from the improperly cooked gyro meet. My mother ordered a burger, which she stated was one of the better burgers she had eaten in a while. The waitress brought our dog a bowl of water and an egg, which he quite thoroughly enjoyed. While it took a little while to get our food, the view and the atmosphere kept us mostly entertained until waiting for the check. My advice to the waitresses: making customers wait for their checks is never a good idea. Overall, the food and atmosphere weren’t bad, but nothing really stood out aside from the view of the lake. Relax felt more like a sports bar that just happened to be on a lake, so I probably would only come back to watch a game or get a quick drink.

Relax Grill is a pleasant enough stop on your way around Lake Eola, but it doesn’t quite rise to expectations. Relax Grill is an open air dining spot on the north side of Lake Eola. It’s right by the swan boats and the public restrooms. Speaking of restrooms, those are the only restrooms available to customers. This alone was enough to make me mildly queasy, but our group was determined.(The public restrooms are not very well-maintained) The views of the lake and the fountain are great. However, other restaurants also have close proximity to Lake Eola. There’s a few TV’s with sports playing, and the drink prices are pretty reasonable. They also have trivia, happy hour, and other events on different days of the week. I feel that Relax Grill probably is best approached as a place to grab a drink with your pals and pooch as you walk around the lake. Viewed from this angle, it’s a successful stop. However, if you come here intent on eating, the experience declines. After finding a table that wasn’t wet from the recent rain, we sat down. A waitress promptly brought us menus and got drink orders. We ordered a mahi-mahi sandwich combo, the house burger(which was the best choice), a plain burger patty for the dog($ 5), and a lamb gyro platter. The gyro meat was not cooked properly and too soft. Also, the tzatziki sauce was served as large scoop in place of hummus and wasn’t very good. The mahi-mahi was overcooked, but the fries were fine. The food also took a decently long time. It wasn’t that the food was terrible, but it wasn’t very good. Also, I felt a bit unsanitary, and the bathroom didn’t help with that issue. By the time the check came, we were all very done people watching and ready to go home to wash our hands. Overall, this place is a nice spot to stop and get a drink. However, I wouldn’t eat here again.

This is a solid three stars. I really wanted to give 3.5 but alas no half star option yet(hint, hint). My co-workers and I ventured into the wild concrete jungle from the safety of our cubicles to rustle up victuals to make it through the rest of the the day. In other words, we headed to Lake Eola to enjoy some lunch out by the lake. This was my first time at Relax Grill though a few of us had been there before. You can select anywhere to sit at lunch time and eventually a server will make her way over to you. Relax may be what they want you to do while you are there but it also seems to apply to the quality of service. While everyone was polite, it isn’t the most welcoming environment. The food is decent. We tried the spinach dip(hardly any flavor) and the tot-chos as appetizers. The tot-chos were the better of the two but definitely are not on the healthy end of the food spectrum(nacho cheese for the win!). I’m not sure I would get them again as it was a heavy dish and the cheese got rather stiff(like glue) as it cooled(nacho cheese for the win!). I ordered the shrimp po boy and upgraded to the onion rings. A bold move, I know but we have mints in the office. I liked the sandwich. The shrimp, unfortunately, were room temperature bordering on cool so it made me wonder if they were frozen and just heated through. The remoulade was a bit bland. It was missing some zest whether that was a splash of hot sauce or extra garlic. I did get hot sauce on the side which definitely helped. Otherwise, the sandwich was huge and flavorful. The onion rings came out pipping hot so I figured that those were fried to order. Mine were a touch over done, a shade past golden brown but delicious and fresh. My co-workers enjoyed their meals and everything came in an ample portion. If you want to shoot the breeze, grab a drink, and people watch around the lake, this is a nice, local option. I wouldn’t make it a first date location but it definitely beats the cubicle any day.

I would describe this place as an open air bar that would be similar to a dive that you would find on the beach. The drinks are reasonably priced($ 6 specialty cocktails all the time) and they seem to offer great happy hour promotions. The ambiance is nice enough, with lake eola being the main attraction. The servers are very busy and they seem to put little effort into decorations, but by far the cheapest place to buy a drink with that kind of view of lake eola.

Relax has one of the best views in Orlando, and is a great place to spend an afternoon on Lake Eola. They have decent drinks and decent specials. The food is average, but the views are fantastic. I recommend ordering their nachos, a pitcher of beer, and enjoy the view. I world only give them three stars because they don’t have consistent hours and most of their food is just average, but the location makes up for it. The entire restaurant is outside, so plan accordingly.

I love coming here for drinks when I’m downtown. It’s outside and the service has always been good Saturdays are ladies night from 7−10pm with $ 2 bud light, wine, and wells. Plus from 9pm to 11pm, they have $ 6 pitchers of bud light and $ 2 smornoff, $ 3 bacardi and $ 5 signature apps! This will be a regular hang out on Saturday nights :) The menu is big has a nice variety of chicken, beef, shrimp, fish, burgers, wraps, gyros, apps and stir fry. Haven’t eaten here yet so I’m not sure if it’s actually good or not. will update my review when I actually do eat something Definitely a great place to have a drink and be outside enjoying the Orlando weather!

Great out door bar located inside lake eola park, They are a few feet from the walt disney amphitheater and right a cross the boat rentals. This spot is usually dead with locals week long except on the weekends before church and during the Farmers market. They have two bars one in the back and the most used one is next to the Kitchen. The menu consist normal american fare mostly sandwiches during lunch and more diverse selection during dinner like stir fry, kabobs and seafood. At the bar they have a very healthy selection of brews on draft mostly domestic and local. Nothing I had was a disappointment. I have ad the peel and eat shrimp, wings(which are pretty big). and there grilled tilapia sandwich. Service was excellent, everybody was really nice and attentive including on there busiest days.

My love for this place is still unwavering. It’s the most relaxing, laid back, chill place I’ve found In lake eola, Thorton park, and winter park. The outside seating is still the best with views of the lake. They have both fans and heaters to satisfy your weather needs. Their drink specials through out the week are the best it will only set you back a few bucks. The only reason I took a star off from my last review is that the price of the food is a bit steep compared to the drink specials. I paid over $ 10 for 5 regular sized peel and eat shrimp. The food is tasty regular bar like food. I would still recommend this place to anyone and always spend a few hours here when I’m in town.
