Okay, I would like to first start off by saying that I have been to a multitude of gyms from Powerhouse(hardcore bodybuilding joint), to La Fitness(fru-fru meat market) and the«no judgement zone» of Planet Fitness(although Planet Fitness definitely judges the hard core lifter. With that being said I stumbled upon this gym today and I made it a point to find this place and give it a go. You see, I love the old school gym with free weights galore and actual squat racks, hack squats, and loud uncensored music blaring. I found it today with Vflex Fitness. The daily cost is 15 bucks, which is pretty par for the course for gyms these days, I didn’t mind spending the money for a solid gym. The locker rooms were very clean, the weights were racked appropriately, the machines were clean(everything was brand new as the employee told me they still had not done their grand opening, so I assumed they are still in their soft opening stages) They had everything for the experienced lfter and the beginner. They also had Cross-fit equipment. I was surprised to see that thrown into the mix as well, but hey if you want to you you’re more than welcome to use it too. I used the pull-up bars, and the ropes to climb at the end of my chest and leg workout. I wish I had found this place sooner, because I would have definitely got a membership here, even if it’s a little further away from me than the local SouthChase Planet Fitness. Alas, I will be moving down south to Ft Lauderdale in a couple of weeks, so no membership for me. I will definitely go a few more times before I move though. If you’re a no-nonsense type of lifter and someone who’s tired of the mundane watered down treasure trove of meat heads at LA Fitness, and you actually want to work out and do a deadlift and a power clean without getting reprimanded(ahem, Planet Fitness) I implore you to try this place. Awesome !
