The atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back! Perfect for a couples or friends night out. There is a good selection of wine and the flatbreads are delicious! The food does take time because it’s usually busy, but worth the wait.

When we visited, there was a painting even going on, so half of the seating area was occupied with that meet up and the other half was just the two of us. That being said, I was truly disappointed by the sarcasm and lack of interest in our business provided by the manager. We were the only other patrons in the entire bar and she couldn’t have cared less about our business. She was rather condescending when we misinterpreted the«Happy Hour» menu posted, but honestly, the disorganization of the chalk board left some items up for interpretation. I did not find the«let me know if you need anything» approach welcoming at all, and I did not appreciate being ignored after we indicated that we would be ordering any food. When I go to a wine bar, I should not be pressured to order food, I want someone welcoming and knowledgable about their products. We were afforded very little guidance, advice or customer service, so I am glad that I was familiar with the protocol in such establishments. Honestly, I’d much rather take my business else where. The WiFi was quite spotty and we were left to «light our own(electric) candles» as the bartender was busy with her iPad. I hate to compare it to the massive powerhouse in Winter Park, but I was not impressed at all. The prices per pour were a little steeper, but I chalk that up to the location in Lake Nona. Unfortunately, I sampled four wines and none of them were worth the money we spent on them. If I feel the need to deviate from my normal routine, I may drop by again, but there would need to be serious incentive for me to go back.

When this place first opened it was nice. Over the years it has gone downhill. During our last visit the staff was not polite and they were out of several food menu items(again). Wish that they put in a little effort to become a relaxing, enjoyable spot in our community.

I have been here a few times. Each time it has been empty! That says a lot about this place… you can’t have fun without others around. Two of the times I was there for networking events and that didn’t even bring any people in. There are much more exciting places that people actually go to like The Tap Room and Nona Blue! Both have better food, wine and atmosphere!

Owner/manager is very accommodating and friendly. Relaxing and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Large variety of wines and cigars, as well as beers and tapas. My new favorite hang out spot.

The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Unfortunately service can be spotty. It was good during my last visit. They have wine dispensing machines and a small selection of beers. It is never crowded which is nice but also a little disconcerting. If you are looking for a slow pace relaxing location that will have room for groups then this is it. If you are looking for there to be a social scene this is not the place. The food menu has shrunk to the point that I am unsure if they serve food anymore. They recently added a cigar humidor and have made some improvements to the signage. UPDATE: They do still serve some food.

They really need to do something about their lighting. It does not create a cozy ambiance. Wine selection is ok at times and food could use improvement. Been here about 5 times since it opened and I want to pop in however, I just don’t feel it’s worth my time…

We have visited WineHouse about 3 times over the past year. We typically drink wine at home, but sometimes just like to get out. The wine dispenser concept is fun and makes for good conversation with friends. The tapas are tasty, especially the pulled pork. Just know it’s more intended for grazing and socializing than gorging on a huge meal. All the food is quality and the owners went out of their way to greet and welcome us. The guitar guy on a Friday night was fun. Don’t forget to tip him a few bucks, he works hard. The owners let us charge a few extra dollars to our tab for the musician gratuity which was kind since they eat the credit card commission.

I don’t drink wine(much) so what can I say about a wine bar? I’ve been here twice. Once for a girl’s night get-together and, more recently, for a painting class. The first time I ordered beer, the second time a cider. I like the concept of the wine dispensers that they have here, but honestly I could probably try a sample of everything and not find anything to make me fall in love with wine. But that’s OK. They’re very accommodating here. The staff is very nice and inviting. On my most recent visit the gentleman helping us talked to us like he may have been the owner. He was just very friendly and really wanted to make sure everything was what we wanted. He poured several samples of wine for my friend before she settled on one that was«just right» and he seemed really excited to find the right one for her. I like that this place doesn’t seem too busy. Compared to the Winter Park wine bars this one was very open and not too crowded. It was nice. I’m sure I’ll go back for more painting classes.

I live in the Lake Nona area and my husband and I have tried, and I mean tried, to like this place. We’ve visited three times, and each time have walked away feeling, like one reviewer so eloquently stated it, as if we were just hanging out in someone’s living room. And I don’t mean that in a good way. First, as you walk in, no greeting. After finding someone to help us, and given a menu, we were told to load up our cards and get the wines we want. All good, except most of the wines they carry are just kind of ok. Some were really not that good and kind of one-dimensional. Tapas-sized items are ok, and actually their fried zucchini app is great. Could eat two of them. There’s little to no music playing so it’s kind of oddly quiet in there except for the tv behind the bar. And the décor is just ok I guess. There’s just no energy in here. And I don’t by any means need, or want, a club-like atmosphere. Maybe we’ve gone too early, though I don’t think 7:30 — 8:30 is early, and it picks up later in the evening. It feels like the owners here are just kind of half-committed to what they’re doing. Maybe I’m wrong. I just feel that it lacks that special something that makes it, maybe, what it could be.

Sangue di gesù Blood of Jesus. Sweet, red, delicious house wine. This is what will bring me back. It’s a cozy modern place in Lake Nona. I come here for book club, and there is a separate area in the back good for meeting. Wines are available, along with tasting cards that you can sample many different types of wines. A great choice for a casual meeting. It has a very neighborhood bar feel.

This locale is truly a great place. I met up for a first date here and the location, atmosphere, staff and selection of wine could not have been better. The staff, Joe, one of the managers, was extremely friendly when I arrived(I arrived a little early) and chatted with me for a little. Being very personable without being too over bearing. And being my first time there, I had an idea of how the place worked, but he gave me a very good rundown without being«in my face.» The locale is awesome. Spacious and lots of room without feeling too crowded. A good choice of high tops, couches, or chairs to choose from and hang out and talk with whomever you are with. It is really a laid back and relaxed environment. And yes, it was a Thursday, so there was no band or loud music, but the space being so big, even when a larger family with some kids came in, there was no need to raise voice or talk louder to be heard. And I am by no means a wine or food expert, but I do enjoy a nice glass of wine. And there was a good selection of wines, and the ones I tried, all very good. And don’t expect a full blown out dinner … this is a tapas bar with appetizer size portions! A good accompaniment to the wine. This is an excellent location … highly recommended!

I am sorry but my second experience def needs an update. My friend frequents this place since it is around the corner from her house and I just don’t see the charm of it all. I guess because what really makes a place for me is the customer service and this spot just doesn’t do it for me, actually it is completely opposite of what customer service should be. My suggestion to the owners, if you wanted to just serve your«regulars» you should have just opened up a room in your house. «did you want anything» after 10 minutes of sitting at the bar. Really? Geeee, I am so glad I came here — you guys are so nice. Notice the sarcasm. And, I know the business owners read their reviews on Unilocal… so my question to you… why not respond? Instead you talk about my first review to my friends and say I am not welcome back(please see previous review, it was actually not bad and it ended with«it was a very relaxing, enjoyable evening.») instead of responding to my review and possibly improving your business… just doesn’t make sense to me. What I suggest is that you care what all customers think of your business and not just your«regulars» because one day… you will need new«regulars.»

This update is LONG overdue… As I predicted, I am a regular at WineHouse — going about two to three times a week. It’s my go-to place when I want a night out of the house, and I don’t feel like driving a long way; not to mention I’d probably come here even if I didn’t live in Lake Nona. I have read the other reviews: good and bad, and I have to say that I never have a bad experience. Yeah, the place gets busy occasionally and sometimes it takes a little bit to get your drink if you order something from behind the bar, but keep in mind — most people get wine glasses and go to the dispensers. An empty glass doesn’t always mean a lack of service. I’m not saying that everything is perfect all of the time — everyone has a different experience. But think about it, and I hate to make the comparison, but when was the last time one of those kids from the WineRoom on Park Ave asked if you needed anything? I’m just saying.(FYI, I’m not a fan of the WineRoom). I almost ALWAYS sit at the bar, which is a completely different experience than sitting at the tables, and I highly recommend it. The winehouse is more of a hangout, not a typical restaurant. It’s a place to unwind and chill out, not be bothered by servers asking you questions every few minutes. If that’s what you want, go to Chili’s. Yeah, they bring you your food and your drinks, but they aren’t about bothering people. It’s a small place — if you need something and they are busy, go ask. It’s really not that big of a deal. I also want to mention that WineHouse is still fairly new, as is this entire community. The foot traffic here can be hit or miss and sometimes they are slammed and don’t have the staff to handle it. Just have some wine and calm down ;)

The WineHouse at Lake Nona is a super great place for a relaxing evening. We have been wanting to go for a couple of months and finally got there last night. Boy am I glad we finally did. The food is great and the wine selection is splendid. I will be a frequent flier for sure. Very very impressed with the place and plan on spending many more evenings with friends here. If your in the area, I would recommend stopping by for a taste or two of the different wines or beers.

This is my neighborhood place of choice. Oddly enough I have yet to taste any wine there. I am more of a craft beer guy and Buck(one of the owners) is as well. They currently added four more taps for a total of eight. This is in addition to their decent bottle selection. This is the place to go when you want to enjoy some good wine or beer and they definitely have some nice food as well. I really recommend the zuchini fries for a tasty yet healthier snack. I have never had bad service there. In fact they have been nothing but friendly to me everytime I have been there. There is one good screen if you want to see a game but, thankfully, this place does not give off that«sports bar» vibe in any way. The only thing they might improve on is to have some staple kid’s menu selections as this is a very family oriented neighborhood and I know I would lunch there more often if that was available. They were nice enough, though, to go off-menu when I was there last and brought the family and made a very tasty grilled cheese for my son. How’s that for service?

Hello Unilocalers! I was lucky enough to be invited to a Baby Shower at WineHouse and even though I was only there for a few hours, I had a very nice time. Since this was a pre paid for event, I did not have to buy a card and sample wines like you would normally do. The host of the party had arranged for ‘x’ amount of bottles for ‘x’ amount of people so the wine and beer was flowing for our gang. Besides a cake that was brought in from outside, our host had also arranged for fruit platters to be served. They were very good and had great presentation. But since this was not a ‘normal’ visit, I can’t give a regular review but I did want to post something to say that the staff and owners were very nice! I would go back(even though it is totally across town from me) just to enjoy the staff. Thank you WineHouse for making the party a great success! If you are over in this part of town, make the effort to stop in… sample some wine… and relax with some good friends at this fun establishment. Enjoy! NOTE: The google map is NOT showing the correct location. The Suite number is messing it up. If you need to find this place, re google it without the ‘ste 105′ and it should show up properly. A lot of people coming to the party had this challenge.
