I had the best burger of my life last night. The cali burger with guacamole which was obviously freshly made with chunky avocado. The bun was perfectly toasted with a home made crunch. The fries were crispy and delicious. The bartender who was obviously in the weeds was great about keeping me informed. Guapos is not just for tacos anymore

Stopped in to get a couple of tacos. The place was completely empty except for a few friendly fellows at the bar. The bartender was incredibly rude. It seemed a total imposition for her to take a takeout order. Perhaps a service industry job is not the right fit.

We found this place during the day while biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and made sure to head back when we were hungry for dinner. It’s a counter service place, so you place your order inside, get a buzzer thing, and get a table. At 7pm on a Friday evening the place was full and their were kids in the gravel lot playing cornhole. All the tables were taken but we got lucky and nabbed one from a couple leaving. The wait wasn’t long for food, only about 5 minutes before my buzzer went off. The salsa and quacamole come in large and small sizes, and the large is very large! The guacamole is fresh and you get your own little bags of fresh tortilla chips(made in-house). The salsa is also super fresh and has a nice kick to it! My Carne Asada Burrito was large and flavorful. I saved half of it and it was even good heated up the next day… I wish we lived closer so I could go again and again!

By far the best Mexican on the Cape. El Spano Loco is the bomb. Busy by 6 so go at 4.

Back for one more try. Food was still only ok. My husband enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, but my House Burro was pretty average. I was also surprised at the presentation. Lacking garnish of any sort(a dab of guacamole, maybe? A sprig of cilantro? Anything?) it resembled a large beige pastry! I think presentation should matter, even in a casual place like this. At the suggestion of our pleasant and efficient waitress, I ordered it with vegetables and, at one point, I fleetingly tasted a strip of green pepper. Ambiance and service were good; food, as I said, was only ok.

BEST Mexican on the Cape! Amazing fish tacos, fresh salsa and warm basket of chips! Friendly staff, efficient service and reasonable prices. Family friendly. The burgers are ridiculously good! French fries are crispy and oh-so-yummy. Worth stopping or making the trip from anywhere on the Cape! Our favorite place to eat hands down!

Was never great great but was always a cheap and fresh option. Most recent visit food quality seems to have declined somewhat and they no longer have a children’s menu. Seems to be transitioning to more of a bar menu and in fact the restaurant seems to be transitioning to primarily a bar with some food than a restaurant with a bar. Service is friendly

Went in at 4p on a Monday. 2 adults, 2 small kids. Got kids 1 plain cheese quesadilla with fries to split. Quesadilla was stale and cold. Fries all clumped together and mega greasy. I ordered a chicken fajita burrito and a prickly pear margarita,(marg was good, but overpriced) What I got was a beef and bean burrito… not at all what I ordered. I decided to soldier on instead of making kids sit any longer than necessary. Burrito tortilla was dried out and crumbly. Rice in burrito was also dried out bordering on crunchy. Husband got 2 tacos, both of which were awful-tortilla stale, lettuce wilted, meat reheated and tough. All that cost us $ 71!!! I nearly had a stroke. Never, ever again will we make the mistake of coming here. If you’re smart, you’ll skip it too.

Very didsapointed. Outside seating end of May still not open. Their best feature and only can sit outside if food is take out. Ordered shrimp wrap. Maybe two shrimps cut up into tiny pieces with lots of roasted peppers and onions for $ 10.95. The shrimp was tiny little piece approximately two tablesoons. My friend ordered chicken enchiladas. Very salty. In fact, too Salty to eat. The margaritas perfect. Water with lemon perfect. Service very friendly and sweet but highly inexperience. Hope they listen to their customers and turn this around. Wish them luck.

We used to love El Guapos in Brewster so we figured to give this place a try. Our first impression was good as the interior is cute and the menu isn’t your usual Mexican«slop» that you can readily find at many subpar Mexican places in the area. We got some tacos, nachos, and wings and we were disappointed. Everything was pretty bland and the nachos were just plain bad — the jalapenos were straight from a can and the cheese was hardly melted. The wings were OK though, they were covered in a tasty BBQ sauce. We will stick with lunch in Brewster.

My man took me here for a quick bite. He loved his Margarita and enchiladas. The fish tacos were ok. a meager portion of tasty fish, a bit too much crème fraîche but a nice pico de gallo. The chips were oversalted and sort of stale but again, the salsa, slightly watery, was good. 4 stars for Joe, the waiter, the super friendly staff, the low lights, the amazing reggae music, three TV’s showing the Bruins and March Madness. Also, lots of parking. Will come back as it’s got a lot going on that’s right. The tequila menu alone is worth the visit.

Why didn’t this place come here years ago? I LOVE it!!! From the best fish tacos to watermelon margaritas I just can’t get enough! Décor is amazing and the staff has always been great. This is always a must when I come to the Cape!

Some of these reviews are too much. You don’t go to Guapo’s and order bbq ribs or burgers so whoever complains about that type of food is eating at the wrong place. The Carne Asada tacos and burrito are fantastic and favorably compare with that same fare when we lived and dined in San Diego. The wait staff was great and the place was lively. Show up for Tuesday Taco Night and get two-for-one and the deal is even sweeter.

What happened? I hadn’t been to Guapo’s Orleans in a while. The menu has changed. Gone were my favorites of Huevos Rancheros, Fajitas, and the Veggie Tostada. Also gone were their awesome Flan and Tres Leche Cake desserts. I ordered the Baby Back Ribs and after one bite, sent them back. Weird tasting gray meat with some bottled BBQ sauce blopped on top. The crispy fries reminded me of what grocery store value brand frozen fries must taste like. The Mexican Street Corn used to be outstanding with its melty cojita cheese but today it was a small bowl of corn niblets with a little grated cheese on top. Not melty and definitely not outstanding. Not even close. Which brings up another point. Plates. What happened to the real plates? Now food is served on plastic plates and tiny plastic bowls. Was there a problem with food fights that they had to switch to cheapo plasticware? I ended up with a chili cheeseburger. First bite and there was some weird, bad, spoiled taste. Bad meat? No… I think it was rancid oil that was brushed on the bun before toasting. I ate the burger bunless and it was OK. The salsa and chips were excellent as was my server. Perhaps Guapo’s is just a place for cocktails now. Sorry but I won’t be back.

Nice ambiance, great music, okay fish tacos. Really, really overpriced. Bad guacamole for $ 8, small bowl of chips & salsa $ 3.50 and $ 7.99 for very small kids’ meal. Nothing comes with a side. Really wanted to like it, but thought it was very disappointing.

The service was great, the server was very attentive and accommodating. My friend got chicken and shrimp tacos, I think he enjoyed the shrimp taco. The chips and guac was good. I got a chopped chicken salad. I have some serious problem with the chicken. It definitely was not freshly grilled. It had the texture of a canned tuna and shaped like canned tuna, but tasted like chicken. Whhyyyyy? It ruined it for me. It turned an otherwise 4 star restaurant to a 3.

Decent food – heavy and not nuanced. I mean it’s the Cape so you cannot expect too much but I thought it was only okay. Good margheritas! Service was great!

Overall, I would say it was pretty good! I looooooove Mexican and this place didn’t disappoint! My husband and I both had burritos which were HUGE and pretty yummy. I do have to say tho, the tortilla chips were way to salty, I like salty but these were a little much. Guacamole and salsa were great tho. And the service was pretty good too, our waitress was super friendly and quick. Would go back if we lived in the area!

Don’t get me wrong, but a place needs to be pretty top notch to get even 4 stars, let alone a 5’er. This place has an ok menu. I’m not a huge Mexican food guy anyway, but I was able to piece together a pretty nice grub-fest topped off with some light beer on tap. Nice place. Price was decent. $ 39 before tip for beer, app, and entrees(dinner). Service was on task and food was good with nice portions.

The chips are salty and the Pacifico was cold. ++ However… The shrimp tacos were so bad I thought it was a joke. Shrimp so rubbery that I thought someone put the fake food, from a kids kitchen set, in a tortilla. I would suggest better quality ingredients and less logo gift shop items
