You can’t really go wrong when the food is fresh, made from scratch and served hot. Burgers are thick, hand made patties with flavor. Served on thick Texas Toast French Toast with bacon and a really well cooked, large fried egg. Of course that was my choice. My daughter went with the Godfather, burger topped with mozzarella, sausage, peppers and onions… I didn’t taste it but she sure looked happy with it. The Fries are perfect fresh cut, skin on, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just enough seasoning to complement not overpower. We brought home a Swiss Mushroom burger for the husband, he said it was good, and he bet it would have been fantastic hot from the kitchen. All in all, it’s a great new burger place for Oro Valley to enjoy. And by the way it was our second visit. The first was dessert and those you just have to try for yourself. Homemade fried pies and Brownie Sundaes. What more do you need?

It’s a real restaurant with real food served by real people. The food was decent, but there is room for improvement. The fries seemed to be all the little burnt bits from the bottom of the basket and that oil sure hadn’t been changed in awhile. For a 10 dollar burger, the patty was a bit small. The service was excellent.

We were looking for a non chain store burger, and we found it. This restaurant is not what I expected, but it worked. It is small, owner operated I guess, and they seem to be still trying to get the business figured out. They don’t do steaks anymore. We ordered take-out and the burgers were pretty good. We like spicy food, but this was not spicy, as a previous reviewer pointed out. The place was empty when I got there, which is not a good sign, but I noticed there was one lady eating outside. I would think that most of their business comes from the hotel next door. I don’t think you will be disappointed in their burgers, but don’t expect too much from this place.

Great breakfast and great service brought us back for dinner. Had«The Beast,» which was topped with corned beef, YUM! Will be back for the WHATchos! Save room for the fried pies!

My husband suggested this place after seeing something in the paper about it. Having an open mind I said sure lets try this place. The restaurant is small with a couple of outside tables. The place was pretty empty with only a couple tables full with guests. I wasn’t particularly hungry so we split our meal. We ordered the«Alex club» on sour dough bread with cheddar cheese. The waitress said Jack/cheddar, so I asked her to clarify our order. She said that they put shredded cheese on the sandwich. Huh?! Well our order took forever to arrive and we get the wrong order. After I looked through the sandwich and realized it was the wrong order the waitress comes back and tells us it’s the wrong order and quickly takes it back to the kitchen. Within a couple of minutes we notice that same sandwich was being served to the couple next to us. Bleh! When our correct order arrives we could not pick up the sandwich. The bread was falling apart, the bacon was burnt to a crisp, the shredded cheese was falling out and it was just plain bland food. This is the first and last time we go to Blaze. Avoid this place

If you are looking for the best patty melt in Tucson, LOOKNOFURTHER!!! Seems like a simple thing to cook, doesn’t it? Not so, but Blaze has it mastered. A patty melt on TOASTED bread is NOT a patty melt. The patty melt at Blaze is GRILLED to perfection with just the right amount of crunch/crispiness to the bread. I always order my burgers medium well to well done and this was still nice and juicy. I love skin-on fries and these didn’t disappoint. The pickles are to die for, so don’t pass up the delicious morsels served with your meal. Blaze is a comfortable neighborhood spot and is a good reason to patronize locally owned businesses. The owners were greeting customers throughout the dining room, ensuring that they were satisfied with their meals. There was good music playing, and at just the right volume so it was still possible to carry on a conversation. Next time I will definitely save room to try dessert!

Went in for a late night burger — got the French Toast burger — very good! Added some maple syrup on it and it was delicious. Quiet place, friendly staff, the menu is very intriguing. Will be back

Have been coming to breakfast here for about 2 years. Since new ownership, quality and timelyness of food has really suffered. When ordering eggs over easy, have gotten from soupy on top to thoroughly fried. Oatmeal cold with no sides, including milk. But today was last straw, after over a half hour wait on order, I finally had to leave for other engagement. No telling when food would have come out. Having to leave a restaurant without getting what you come for pretty much qualifies for a 1 star, if not a zero

This restaurant is doing a disservice to it’s customers. The people that would like the food here, probably wouldn’t stop in because of their name, thinking it would be too spicy. They should change their name to Bland and get the clientele to match their food. We stopped in for Easter breakfast, first clue, the place was empty. I ordered the home made corn beef hash, my husband order chorizo. The hash was tiny bit of dried up something, the eggs over easy, barely hit the griddle. Over easy is not raw. My husband was under impressed with the chorizo. In all, not worth the calories. The coffee was pretty good, but we would not stop in again. My 89 year old mother, who is flavor adverse would love it.

We opened the place this morning, met by a very friendly staff :) Three different omlettes(greek, ham and cheese and inferno), very tasty! Hashbrowns well done and fluffy. Sourdough bread and biscuits are yummy. .lots of food for the price

Over priced especially if you’re going to serve food on plastic plates… Food was ok but why go to this place when you can go to Jerry Bobs for half the price and get served with real plates…

Entered– my choice of seating, a HUGE plus! Tables very clean, laughter every where. Super friendly greeting and the staff is absolutely the best! Wait time for for after ordering– Fried mushrooms 5 minutes. The review– Fried mushrooms, elegantly deep fried in the most crisp golden batter rivaled by none. Mushroom pops in your mouth. The dipping sauce, well inferno sauce of course. A blend of thousand island, cayenne and habenero peppers. So Delicious! Southwest Burger, Arrived 5 minutes after appetizer. Golden fries cooked to perfection and not greasy. Two perfectly cooked medium rare patties, melted Swiss cheese, a nice slice of green chilli and two slices of Bacon all snuggled like a new born baby wrapped in a blanket of soft warm bun. Heavenly! The perfect customer service topper… the owner out in the dining room speaking with customers… what better way to make sure everyone is satisfied! You want the best burger– then come get the best Burger! Your friend, The Duke of Blaze!

Went today to check out the place. Very freindly. small vibe feel with solid owners. I can eat anything in burger form so this place was right up my alley. Good flavor. Nice quality meat. Good variety. Love the inferno burger with fried egg and fresh grilled jalepenos. Dunno why but the pickled ones are meant for other foods. Hand cut fries we a great touch. The inferno sauce has a great kick and flavor. If spice is an issue order on the side but i always order on what the cooks menu is original for. We definitely will be back for breakfast as that sounds fantastic as well. good high end burger place in the area for a well valued non high end price

Tried this place out for breakfast after finding it on Unilocal. Mom and I each ordered and omelette with home fries. The omelettes were quite tasty as were the home fries. Each came with bread, for which we selected the homemade biscuits. They were delicious and we are biscuit connoisseurs. We definitely plan to come back and try their burgers and fries!

Dissatisfied, waited over a half hour for our food. Had to ask for the lettuce and tomato. The French fries looked nothing like the photos, over cooked and grease.

Gotta go to Blaze! First time here, came for breakfast. Huge selection and very cheerful service. You can tell this isn’t some heartless chain… Charming, local, and great food. Had the corn beef hash, terrific!

This place had amazing burgers, go and check it out. Like the burgers I use to have back in Chicago. Ask them to put jalapeño, heat, anything goes. Only one negative, they could be a little more diligent on keeping their glass doors clean, that’s a must, otherwise, great place.

Second time here and it didn’t disappoint! The service was great our server was friendly and attentive. I had the whatcho think nacho but with fries. And OMG so good. My husband had the French toast burger, loved it. To his surprise it was not to sweet actually he said it was a little more savory then sweet. This my second time here and I have plans to come back as often as possible. I ordered the French Toast Burger with peanut butter and it was AMAZING. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive with plenty of menu suggestions. I’ve been waiting for a restaurant like this in Oro Valley! Only complaint: There are too many great things on the menu and it makes it difficult to decide.
