Martha’s Mexican Food

The best Mexican food — EVER! Everything is good! Chips and salsa, carne asada, chili verde, etc! Love the new building and the banquet room is excellent for large parties.

Isacc Martha’s son robbed me like $ 7 or so. They messed up my order and he charged for all the mistakes. Plus he added extra sides on the bill. This happened like in October of 2015 and i never went back. He didn’t give me an itemized statement either. Food is great but that dude is toxic to the business. Now I go to LA Esperanza’s all the time.

Martha’s has been a local favorite for as long as I can remember. They have delicious food and their new bartenders make a delicious Michelada. I make sure to stop by almost every time I come back home and get my usual. I recommend the Sloppy Mickey (Bacon Cheeseburger with Chile Verde on Top) and Order a Chile Relleno on the side. Put the Chile Relleno inside the burger (you can thank me later). Get that and a Michelada and you’re set!

Very good food I dont know y people complain about customer service the Times that I’ve gone w my family everyone there is very nice sometimes people want to have too much attention when in reality its a busy restaurant and is very hard to please everyone. Some people are just too demanding and expect too much what happened to being grateful instead of demanding

Food is good and I have been going to Martha’s since 1989. New location is obviously better but her son who is a server needs to be replaced. Very unprofessional and obviously lacks customer service skills. Food is good but lack of customer will bring down a restaurant in a matter of time. No doubt

Someone needs to let Martha know that her son Isaac who runs the register is going to lose a lot of customers due to his poor customer service, he should not be in the public view more suitable for doing dishes since he lacks people skills. I drove in from Visalia just for Martha’s great food but due her son’s horrible attitude I doubt I will be back anytime soon, my call in order wasn’t exactly right and when I mentioned it to him he acted as though it was my fault. Esperanza’s is right down the road and never in the last 25 years have i ever been treated so rudely.

We are frequent customers at Martha’s and have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. The food is some of the best Mexican food in the valley. The chile rellenos are the best, I highly recommend ordering this. The rating for food is definitely 5 stars… and the service is usually great, but there is one waitress that is extremely rude (the reason for only 3 stars). I wish I knew her name, but she has poor customer service skills. If she is your waitress beware of the hidden fees (like extra charge for more chips and salsa w/​o warning). Or changing your order w/​o asking.
We are taking a break from Martha’s for now, but will return b/​c the food is delicious and the other waitresses are awesome, but when we return we are planning in talking to the owner about our dissatisfaction with the waitress.

First time here. A friend recommended it. Service is excellent. Food was amazing! We live in Visalia and it was worth the drive. Will be back!

Man this place is a must if u r n the Orosi area. Their food is bomb… Even Their burgers r awesome.

Martha’s has been going down hill. I ordered the chile relleno and it tastes like it had been in the freezer for a while. Please, if you are going to use food that’s frozen at least rotate them.

Good Mexican food! New location is much bigger and comfy. I like to order the chile verde quesadilla where the meat is nice and soft and juicy, not dry like other places I’ve been. My absolute favorite, and can’t ever go wrong with is the cheeseburgers! Fresh meat make the perfect patty!

This place used to be great before it hiked up its prices. Now I think twice before going because the food is just average Mexican food and nothing extraordinary.

I called to get a price for a party tray for our church. He mentioned he could customize it anyway I wanted. When I asked what would be more a cost effective price, he told me he didn’t «deal with people like that, and to call later!» He was rude and disrespectful!
The food isn’t that good! You just lost a longtime customer!

They have the best fish tacos around. I wasn’t a fan of fish tacos until I had them here. Now I order them wherever I’m at to compare with Martha’s. IMO Martha’s still #1. The only downside is fish tacos are Thursday specials, so if you’re around Cutler-​Orosi on Thursdays, do yourself a favor and drop by.

Went to Martha’s for the first time today based on my families recommendation. I was extremely pleased with the delicious food, the atmosphere, and the great service. I had some ground beef tacos, and they tasted just like my grandma used to make. I also tasted the rice and beans, the hurricane burrito, and the espy fries, everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. I will definitely be back to Martha’s the next time I’m in town. Great place!

This place is ok. The food tasted like something you would make at home so I can dig that. I didn’t put more stars because the guacamole isn’t guacamole, it’s sour cream with a tiny bit of avacado mixed in. I’m sorry but this place is in a deep rooted Mexican community and is supposed to be a Mexican restaurant but didn’t have real guacamole made with 100% avacado, cilantro, lime, jalapeño, and salt? All bad, don’t order their side of guacamole (avacado flavored sour cream). I was insulted to be served that.

I grew up on Martha’s and after being away for over a decade I came back to a beautiful new building, excellent customer service and the food is bombzilla!
Top notch food, fast refills, comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. Ain’t that all you need?

I don’t take the time write very many reviews, but I felt it my duty to do so today… I’ve lived in LA, Fresno, Lodi, and Sacramento. Only once in my life can I recall tasting Mexican food this good. Such incredible flavors, amazing pricing and wonderful service. Portion sizes at Mexican restaurants can some times get a bit crazy with how big they are — not the case here at Martha’s. The plate was well covered with the meal, but not flowing over to the point where I was going to go into a food coma afterwards. I stopped here today for a lunch break while traveling for work, having never been before and I am happy to say that I am so glad I did! If there were a sixth star to give them I would! A little off the beaten path for most, but well worth the drive!!!

Ok is 1 star fair to Marthas? Not based on food, the food is indeed 4 – 5 stars and the chile verde is good.
They get 1 star for 1 reason. That guy behind the register is a thief. (Tall scruffy dude) I think he is family. More than once I have noticed that he OVERCHARGES on purpose. I have noticed the last 2 times I was over charged. Last time was like 8 $. WTF dude!
Watch them, the SERVERS will NOT CHARGE you if he is there. He gets his cheap little 99 cent calculator and adds it all up on there. Why use a cheap calculator when you have at least a cash register that goes unused?! Brand new building, yet he uses a cheap throw away calculator to tally up your orders. Guess what, he has been doing this even before they moved into the new building!
**I warn ALL OF you now! Get an ITEMIZED Receipt the next time you go. Make sure you can see what you bought, how much it was etc.**
Imagine the $thousands of dollars this guy has stolen. I am going to report them to the Better Business Board so that they can provide a better service to the customers with ITEMIZED receipts. There is no way they don’t know that guy steals all day long.
Sometimes they are rude or too rushed. Please comment if you have been overcharged or have noticed it!
