Our waiter was very pleasant and charming. Wish I had got his name. Fast service and good food. Sliced Beef brisket was good but a touch dry… but it was smoked meat so a touch of BBQ sauce made it perfect. Our food runner was even amusing when he brought out our dishes. The friendly«good bye» really topped off the experience. As a local I can honestly say I’ll return to dine again.

I would say this is average BBQ. The sauce was really great, but the meat itself was just OK. The onion rings were huge and flavorful!

You can’t go wrong with this place. Cold beer to fresh brewed ice tea. Great soup and salad for the light side and ribs to perfection. They used to do J-Js ribs. Even if they don’t they are great. Wonderful tenderloins too. Highly recommend. And it’s NOSMOKING. The lake needs to realize most us come from no smoking states where you can’t smoke in bars or restaurants. That’s we want and expect these days.

We come to the lake a couple times every year and this is ALWAYS our first stop for dinner. Everything here is great. I love the tenderloin sandwich and My wife loves the brisket quesadilla or the pulled pork sandwich. The servers are so friendly and the food comes out really quick. We have a small child and they even put her kid order in first so she would not be bored. We have been eating here since the old location and it just gets better and better.

All of my comments have an exception… The wings are great here. Five stars on the wings alone. And I am typing this review based on my last visit which was March, 2015 during the«off-season» at the lake. With that being said, the chicken tenders from the kids menu tasted like burned oil, the pulled pork was similar to failed crockpot recipes I have tried in the past and the ribs were dry. Try less hard on atmosphere and harder on the food. I’ll give it another chance, hoping they were simply not prepared for a busy evening in early spring. Fingers crossed they can redeem themselves.

Excellent service, mediocre food – the ribs were overcooked and the beans were dry. Bussers and waitress were very attentive.

Seen other reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try, glad we did! The smoked meatloaf was excellent! When we go out for bbq I always go for the turkey but next time I’m getting the meatloaf! Loved the baked beans too. My daughter ordered from the kids menu nothing to brag about corndogs and fries but the meatloaf!

I was hopeful since four stars on 120 reviews is a pretty good average but I was quite disappointed. Our server, Kara, was awesome. Attentive, friendly, and ninja-quick. That was the best part of our meal. I like to try the wing at most places that offer them and since they boasted«award winning», I figured they would be great. They were very dry and the rub and sauce weren’t anything to write home about. I had the beef brisket with macaroni and cheese and my husband got the pulled pork with a baked potato. On the menu, it says that these meats are served wet/sauced but there wasn’t much more than a drizzle on both of ours. The bottle of sauce on the table was watery, boring, and the only option. Beyond the sauce, the meats themselves were pretty basic; my brisket was very dry and kinda chewy and my husband’s pulled pork went mostly untouched. His potato was fine(kinda hard to mess that up). My macaroni and cheese was okay. Not like it was out of the box but had way to much of the thick cheese sauce that was in it. If you’re looking for BBQ in this area, go to Half Sauced.

First time eating here and was very impressed by the food and service. I ordered Chicken Fried Pork. It was amazing! My wife ordered the Hickory Smoked ½ Chicken and she loved it!

Wings! They are amazing. I’m impressed that they are smoked and grilled. I also had a brisket and pulled pork sandwich. It was delicious, it wasn’t dry or overcooked. It had great flavor and compliments their house barbeque very nicely. I had curly fries as my side and they were good as well. The service was good and our server was attentive and witty. I recommend going here; you have to get the wings and barbeque.

Had high expectations but was let down by the dry baby back ribs. Maybe they were old and not freshly prepared, will have to come back and try again

Soo I have been handing out 4 stars like I am heading to a hotel. asked if we wanted to be seated in the fireplace room or main room. I said either and the hostess took us over to the fireplace place, such a great option. Loved the loot on the walls. I had some delicious grilled wings doused in the spicy sauce. It’s not super spicy but does have a bite. Now I went out on the limb and ordered a burger, not just any burger but one topped with pulled pork. I know I know, but it’s my Anniversary weekend so I’m totally out of order. Lol. People of the Unilocal reader/reviewer, I gotta check things out before I go World… this burger was tasty. Um more like delicioso(yea I know it spelled incorrectly). Had me in there like Dora the explorer… Y’all check this place out when ur in the Ozarks. And they have some good country rocking in the background. I read their sign, they have live music on Friday night’s and a DJ on Saturday …

I wasn’t overly impressed with the service or the prices of the meals at Wobbly Boots. A meal for two with an appetizer cost me $ 50, which was way more than I was expecting to pay. The portions were big, yes, but I didn’t think the sandwich I got was worth the $ 12 I paid for it. They had a decent happy hour with wings, but the drink deals weren’t that great($ 1 off). The place has a great ambiance and smells great, but I don’t know if I would go back unless someone else was paying.

Good service and all the food was good. Didn’t have any trouble getting a spot for the 6 of us. Our server was attentive and we didn’t really have to wait much on anything. BBQ was pretty good and we loved the BBQ nachos. Would return next time I’m in the Ozarks.

This is my second visit. I sat alone at the bar and got waited on promptly even though they were somewhat busy. The blue cheese burger was perfectly cooked and overflowed the little bun which I like a lot vs all bun and little hamburger. There was a really generous splattering of blue cheese on it as well. The menu was a little confusing in that it came with choice of a side and said: garden salad, bowl of soup or half order of onion rings($ 2 extra). I thought the onion rings only were $ 2 extra as it did not list ANY choices of a side dish except for those 3 items. So I was quite surprised to be charged a dollar for a cup of soup since the waiter did not mention it would be an upcharge. And even when it was brought up to him did not apologize for the oversight. All in all still a good meal for $ 12 plus the Blue Moon on tap is icy cold

Wobbly Boots is not Kansas City BBQ, it is not St. Louis BBQ… It is not even worthy of being called BBQ. The meats are limp and flavorless. The buns are ordinary. There is only one sauce offered, and a weak one at that. Side dishes are horrid, Mac & Cheese is not edible, «Baked Beans» are watery and straight out of a can. This is a beer drinkers bar trying to pass as a BBQ joint. Have a beer and leave. Do not eat at Wobbly Boots. Stick to things they don’t touch in the kitchen– like a bottle of beer. It’s a BBQ themed sports bar.

Maybe I’m used to Texas style bbq, but I had the brisket sandwich and the meat was DRY and bbq sauce was HORRIBLE. Again I’m from Texas and I enjoy my brisket tender. As I stated I wasn’t a fan of the bbq sauce at ALL. I gave it two stars because my husband had the ribs and while they were not tender or falling off the bone, the rub was good! We had the bacon shrimp wraps as appetizers and they were delicious.

The drinks were decent and the six wings would have been good if they were hot. 45 minutes after we ordered them we asked the bartender to check on them. Went back and said they’re really busy but will be right out. When they came out they were luke warm. Meaning they had been sitting out but he popped them in the microwave for a minute. Maybe they were just busy but didn’t excuse the nasty mess in the kitchen that everyone in the bar seemed to want to walk right by without noticing. Could be great maybe we caught them on a bad night.

The service was definitely worth the wait.(45 minutes)(Read a review about a waiter named Keagan, he was as good as advertised.) Unfortunately I wish I could say the same for the food. First, the portions sizes were incredibly small! Ordered smoked meatloaf. Liquid salt gravy topped on a 5 oz(being VERY generous on that) slab of what they called meatloaf. Tasted nothing of what you would consider meatloaf. The meat was grounded to fine thus giving a texture taste nowhere near the idea of meatloaf. Major flaw. Reminded me much of the dreaded hockey puck meatloaf. This was all on top of one slice of wonder bread with an ice scoop of mashed potatoes. The entire meal was finished in eight bites, max. The sweet potato fries were soggy and had zero seasoning on them. The other oder placed was the 6 pepper steak po boy. First problem, zero peppers. If they were referring to seasoning, there was none. Meat was tender with a very mild smokey taste. Also finished in about eight bites. Not sure why this was considered a house special, extremely ordinary in taste. Served again with an ice scoop of mashed potatoes with chicken gravy that was overly salty. Service was better than already expected. Anticipated needs and was very informative on menu entrée inquiries. Best service in a very long time. Managers, please give him a raise!
