This place now disappoints. The food tonight was terrible. The Reuben should be taken off the menu. It’s now a limp ham and cheese with sauerkraut. The fish and chips were fish sticks and burnt. The cocoanut shrimp was also burnt. Worst of all is that their signature«freshly made» chips were soggy served with the meal and as bad in another basket when I complained. This is off the list of good food places in the Venice — Osprey area. I would not even give it one star now.

Spotted this place while returning from Casey Key Fish bar(having vowed not to return to that joint in a hurry). We tried Bimini a couple of days later at abt 17.00 hrs. We arrived by boat and docked at the restaurant. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff and were made to feel very welcome. Service was good and the food we had at the bar was excellent. There is a restaurant upstairs but we didn’t visit it. I assume the food was the same as the menu served both bar and restaurant.

Hmmm. Come here for bar food. Overheard the chef/cook is new, so may be an interim issue. Understood the previous proprietors were from Baltimore, and the crabcakes, Philly cheesesteaks, and seasoned fried were delicious and airhentic(down to the Amoroso rolls-you know what I’m talking about!). Last few times are just meh. Today’s crabcakes-dismal, soggy, canned crab swimming in water(!) on my plate! On a positive note, the staff is personable, attentive, and the drinks and Mon-Sat 3 – 6 Happy Hour is great! As a bar with barfood I’d give it 5 stars, but if you’re going tio offer tuna tataki, pan seared crabcakes and poached salmon on the menu, then you need someone who can pull it off in the kitchen. I vote you’ve got a great bar-thing with a local follwing… do that well.

40 minutes from order! Me: where’s our food? 15 minutes pass Waiter: I don’t know they don’t tell me anything. Waiter: do you want to talk to chef? Me: yes please 15 minutes pass Chef: sorry we DROPPED the burger! We are remaking it. Me: is the rest of the food in the window? Chef: no we remade everything Chef: I want to let you know«I’m not the type of chef that would pick up the burger off the floor and put it back on the bum» Me: is that a bonus? WELEAVE…

Pete the waiter is fabulous. The food, not so much. A greek salad and NOLETTUCE. Dinner companion asked for no capers, yes no capers but tons on caper juice and horrible chicken. Service amazing. Food, bad

Found our way to Bimini at the end of a lovely day on Siesta Key. What a great experience! Got there in time to catch a pretty sunset over the marina. The service was very attentive — owners stopped by a couple of times to check on us, and Wendy our server was terrific. Food was great as well. We started with the lobster dip — yum! I had a crab cake dinner which was great, but I also stole a lot of my wife’s Sriracha Thai Shrimp which was amazing. Couldn’t decide between peanut butter pie and key lime pie so tried(and finished) both. Then we happily waddled out the door. Great experience! We will be back…

Trying to find a reservation for a party of 8 on a Sunday evening is difficult, but Bimini was recommended to us and could accommodate our large party. The restaurant is somewhat small but very clean and a lovely view of the water. Our waitress was Wendy and she was fabulous — friendly and attentive. I got the Scallops St. Jacque and they were wonderful — and the veggies that came with were some of the best tasting veggies I’ve had in a restaurant. My brother got crab cakes as an appetizer which we all tried and liked. My sister got the crab dip — the dip was good but the chips they give you with it were not. My sister got the lobster linguine as her entrée and loved it. The rolls were awesome and almost all of us had the lobster bisque which was good. Definitely recommend!

Lunch only. My wife and I have eaten in the dining room twice for lunch. It was not crowded and service was visibly attentive and excellent. We had sandwiches and they were properly prepared and hot. No complaints. Fries and onion rings excellent. My favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak. Hard to find good Cheesesteaks outside of Philly or South Jersey but these are right up there. They use Amoroso rolls which is essential for real Philly Steaks. Special shout out for the chips — better than the up charge alternatives. We will try dinner some night, so far so good.

Staff– Very friendly and efficient. They made suggestions for some items when my companions were undecided. Ambience– A bit minimal with the décor and it was dark when we arrived so we couldn’t see the ocean view; only a lighted boat or two. One reason I didn’t give four stars was that the staff was shoving all the tables together to clean as the restaurant was empty so it was a bit distracting and made us feel a bit rushed. Food– So very good! I had a Lobster dip appetizer that was tasty. I also had an amazing lobster bisque soup; smooth and creamy. It was so rich and good that I wasn’t that hungry for my dinner. For my entrée I chose a Chicken Piccata. It was good; I would say that the wine sauce could have been a little less liquid as it was a bit ‘soupy’. But the taste was good. My companions all enjoyed their dishes as well. The last reason I didn’t give another star was that they were out of several items that weren’t noted or stated when we arrived so my companions ordered, then ordered again(so twice without being told things were ‘off the menu’). Music– Excellent; a fun mix of new and classic tunes were playing that made the evening fun! Our waitress was from Redding at one time and was super nice and helpful. I would definitely go back if I were to return to Florida. Our hosts who have a beach home on Casey Key stated they were happy to have found that spot and would be back!

We have had lunch here several times. We go to the restaurant which is on the floor above the bar. The food is good and there is a large selection. Prices are a little lower than other places in the area. Service is friendly and efficient. Dinner menu looks good.

Well, we tried HH3 – 6 on a Saturday May 24. We sat inside bar with AC at window hightop table for 2 with a limited view of marina due to trees blocking view. Outside tables were empty due to no crowd, heat and sunshine. Not bad HH prices with draft Stella Artois chilled beers 2 for $ 4.75 and 2 decent pours of Chardonnay 2 for $ 4.75. Phil was our bartender and was attentive and on queue with us even though we were not seated at bar. Good job Phil. We shared Bar Bite $ 8.00 Caprese Pizza(about 10″) with thin crust, diced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and dashed with balsamic reduction — EXCELLENT. Wife ordered small Caesar Salad Side $ 4.95 and Romaine lettuce was crisp and not drowning in salad dressing. I ordered«Pete from PA» Cheesesteak Sub for $ 10.99 with 99-cent upcharge for fries — fries were good but disappointed for 8″ cheesesteak sub for $ 11. I’ve had much better and larger 14″ cheese steak subs for under $ 8. The bar is handsomely decorated with nautical items. There was a chalkboard with Today’s Bar Bite Specials. Even noticed small sign behind bar with Special Drinks like Orange Crush $ 7.95. Bathrooms were outside and just around the corner and clean. I would state that our expectation was met as this is a marina bar & grill and nothing more. We enjoyed our HH and would go back when in the immediate area, but we’re not making a special trip down US41 to Blackburn Point.

Lovely Place and delicious food. If you are looking for lighter but tasty fare go for the fish tacos. But if you want something heartier, try the pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun. To die for! Service takes its time, however it is extremely friendly. Quality of food was great. Strongly reccomend.

Just in from CT and decided to order takeout on our second night on Casey Key. Bimini was a convenient choice, and accepted our takeout request without hesitation. We ordered the fish tacos(with extra sauce) and the peanut butter pie. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was on a separate level from the bar(for our next dine in). Our order came out just as I arrived. This restaurant has excellent views with seating overlooking the water. The fish tacos were excellent! Fresh cilantro was a great touch. The peanut butter pie was also delightful. Great meal for the price! My wife and I cannot wait to dine in and enjoy the view next time(possibly as soon as tomorrow!).

Bimini never disappoints — I’ve been there for lunch, dinner, and late dinner. I will review tonight specifically since it is fresh in my mind(and stomach!) We came in late — hoping the kitchen would be willing to serve us 5 minutes before the kitchen closed — we knew we were pushing our luck! The server graciously welcomed us, seated us, gave us the menus and took our orders. Our table ordered the black and blue burger(amazing homemade burger cooked to order), the calimari(crisp and fresh with a fantastic dipping sauce), and chicken fingers(yum!) I was impressed that the waiter asked if we would like the kid’s portion of the chicken fingers — obviously cheaper — since it was for a child. The food was prepared to order and fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, especially since this is an upscale restaurant with a beautiful marina view. The dress code is casual. As a delicious finish we shared a crème brûlée — the best I’ve had — and I’ve had it in some very well-known restaurants. It was soft and delicate — and so yummy! The owner greeted us and thanked us for our business, a nice touch. We’ll be back!

Good quality pub fare. The Mussels are still great, and you can’t complain about a ¾ pound burger with blue cheese and bacon. Unfortunately, they fired their upscale chef and are aiming for a different clientele.
