The Oswego Tea Company

This place is so nice. I’m visiting from Los Angeles and stopped here. The young gentleman that works there is extremely friendly and so nice. We came in just before closing. The food and tea was really good as well. Definitely recommended!!! And will be back.

Food was great but service awful. Asked 2 different waitress for coffee and NOTHING. Had to go up to the counter and get it myself.

Maybe a good place usually, but we waited well over an hour after we sat down to get food. It was parents weekend at local college, so it was crowded, but parents weekend is no surprise either as far as planning. Probably the longest I’ve ever waiting in my life to be served after sitting down. Sadly, the coffee service, etc while we waited was slow. Staff said there was a problem in the kitchen. I’m not looking for freebies, but if I was running the place, I might have at least picked up the coffee or something for making people wait so long. Definitely will not return. Poorly managed. The food was good, but not worth an hour of wait time after being seated.

Amazing homemade gluten free, dairy free cranberry bread!!! Perfect way to start the day! Wish the coffee had been local rather than Starbucks but it was good nonetheless especially with the availability of almond milk

Not from Oswego. but Oswego Tea Company has made me love this town!
Starbucks coffee?! yes please! and it is more affordable than the actual starbuck shops.
I ordered the chicken and waffles. My first time eating chicken and waffles (I know. where have I been?)
It was so delicious! I love the crispiness from my waffle, and also the chicken! The gravy was a much thicker gravy than im use to, but boy was it filled with love.
Next time I visit Oswego, will definitely stop by again! Plus its pretty affordable too.

This is a delicious place with an incredible tea selection and wonderful service (and wifi!) I went here with a large group on Saturday morning and could not have been more satisfied (and impressed) by the service of our waitress — whose name escapes me. She was attentive and pleasant and really did a great job dealing with such a large (and unexpected) party. As it was my first (of many) trips to the Oswego Tea Company, I had to get a tea! I had the Chocolate Strawberry Saffron, and it was fantastic and flavorful, and served in a gorgeous pot. To eat, I had a delicious belgian waffle, but am beating myself up for not getting the cinnamon raisin french toast or cheddar jalapeño bread that everyone else in my party was raving about.
I also need to say that the ambiance of this cute café leaves nothing to be desired. It’s lovely!

Country music heaves, sobs and twangs out of the restaurant speakers (seriously, New York?) while the teasing strains of classic rock float from the line cook’s kitchen radio (you go, brother). And that pretty much sums up the place-​good food, inconsistent service, and I wish I cared enough about tea to suffer through another five minutes of Rodney Atkins boasting about pulling down backwoods poontang.

This place is a great quick place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. I highly recommend the iced tea (I had Hibiscus Raspberry) and their cinnamon raisin toast. They also have a great selection of hot teas — tropical green was light and slightly flowery. A great atmosphere and an overall lovely place.

Best cinnamon raisin bread ever! They also have a great coffee selection. I have ordered from the Tea Company multiple times and have never been disappointed.

I am giving 3 stars because I love their french toast and have never had a bad dish there… until mothers day. I wanted french toast so made reservations for my family to bring me there not knowing it was going to be buffet style and I couldn’t order from the menu. Nothing was worth finishing and it was $ 75 for 4 people to leave not liking anything they had. Sadly disappointed and will never go there if I know it’s a buffet being served

My wife and I came in for the first time after hearing a lot of good things about it and we can both attest to what we heard being correct. Phenomenal food, great atmosphere, cordial staff and reasonable prices. We both had their famous homemade raisin bread and it was sooo good! They toasted and buttered it and it was toasted to perfection. It’s interior is encrusted with a perfect mix of cinnamon and sugar that lines the bread exactly the way you always wanted raisin bread to be. A perfect ratio of raisin to bread top off what I’m sure any raisin bread fan will love. My favorite raisin bread I’ve ever had!

I’m giving another review as they have solved their speed issues!!! Went there yesterday morning & had the most delicious eggs Benedict & the pumpkin pancakes were luscious!!! The quality of the food here is superior!!! Coffee is Starbucks & of course the best. We love to make this place our holiday family breakfast spot.

I’ve been going to Suny Oswego for 3 years and I have never seen this place. I took my girlfriend here the other day and it was delicious. I ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich with a side of home fries. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing breakfast

Breakfast with the Newlyweds… Lisa (owner) went above and beyond… to a group of 35+ for a fabulous home cooked breakfast. Each order cooked individually to perfection with raving revews from all guests! Wonderful cozy and warm atmosphere in private room. Excellent service. You must try the raisin bread!

Delicious food, coffee, and dessert. A hidden gem whether you are from Oswego or just there to visit

I had a lovely experience at the Oswego tea company. The building in itself had a very nice appearance to it, and the waitress was very friendly. Though the menu is small, it had many good options, and I opted for a roast beef sandwich. It was absolutely delicious! My only complaint is that it did take quite a while for the food to be prepared. Other than that though, I really enjoyed this restaurant and will certainly return!

The service is slow but the food is very good and the bread is outstanding. The ambiance is pretty and relaxed… great place for baked goods too!

My mom and I went for late lunch about a week ago. It has very lovely décor and the aroma of fresh bread baking was intoxicating. It was empty so we had our choice of tables.
We both ordered herbal iced tea (freshly brewed per order) and gyro salads. The food was pretty good; the iced tea was great.
The negatives:
Service was very slow and as we were the only table, it would have seemed easier to get the server’s attention (she had dropped the bill right after our salads and we never saw her again; we waited over ten minutes at the table to pay and then another 2 at the counter before we left the bill on the counter; she said thank you and goodbye as we walked out. I checked the sign and it wasn’t that we came in right before closing).
Sadly, we also noticed however there were crumbs on our table and the other tables around us, potentially from an earlier breakfast and lunch crowds. Tables really should be thoroughly cleaned after every sitting. The bathroom was also in disorder and not clean. There were also lots of cobwebs and spider eggs at the top of the windows in the dining area.
I realize that there is a lot of work that goes into maintaining a restaurant having been in the business over 12 years. I can assure you that the negatives here can easily be remedied (both the young girls that were working we’re not busy cleaning or cooking, one kept leaving to go outside) as this place has great potential.

Great staff, good food.

Well a pretty good go to spot for tea or coffee… I’ll give them that. To add, the atmosphere is very comfortable and has some friendly people which is all a plus.
The food is decent, nothing to brag over… sorry to say. I had the french toast with fruit but the fruit was really some jelly preserves type mess which wasn’t pleasing, especially when I was expecting real fruit from a farmer’s town.
The Chicken Florentine was very good and would repeated get that again.
