I have been a loyal customer for… 17 years now? Yeah, it’s that good. I’m a vegetarian, my favorites are Pad See Ewe with a mix of broccolis, Pad Thai with tofu, and if they have them, Potato Leaves(YUM) plus I steal broccoli from the General Tso’s. I love the fried spring rolls and plum sauce, they are fantastic. I can’t speak for them, but everyone who has tried the crab rangoon say they are the best they have ever had. Also the Thai iced coffee with cream is a must have! I used to know all the servers, but I haven’t been as frequent for a while. Everyone is always helpful and service is quick. I am disappointed that they changed the spring rolls offered on the buffet, they are not the same as the ones you order off the menu and not nearly as good. Plus the last time I was there, there was no tofu on the buffet. Neither of those things will keep me from coming back though.

This used to be my to go place for Thai. A misunderstanding happen back in 2013 with a friend who took care of a bill. Me and a few friends went in a few months later and the manger came up to us and asked«Do you guys not like our services?» it threw us off as they were always so good to us. Me and my friends look at each other confuse. She then goes on and say«my servers refuse to service you guys because you don’t tip». We were still confuse as we always tip when we dine in. After talking to her more I knew who she was talking about and it was the friend who took care of the bill a few months earlier. After clearing up the misunderstanding I thought everything was good. Every since then when we would go in they would always give us the stink eye but we looked past that. Today they came back with our bill with the tip hand written on the ticket. I thought that was rude but said to hell with it. The lady was sweet and good at what she did but it was how they went about doing it. My whole thing about this is though it wasn’t me who didn’t tip, they just sum us all as one. I will never go back to this place again.

Had a groupon for this place so went to check it out on a Sunday evening. It was ok. As far as Thai goes I’ve had better, even here in kc, but if you are in this neck of the woods and craving thai then this is a fine place to go.

Best Thai in KC area, hands down! Weekend buffet is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Love this place! Best option is to do the buffet on Saturday and Sunday. Totally worth it and can try soup, salad, fruit, dessert and several different menu items.

We had a terrible dining experience with a rude manager! We ordered their chicken wings appetizer, and the wings came with feathers on one of them. The worst part is the manager trying to convince me it’s supposed to be like that and insinuating that it’s edible. I had to ask a different server to bring it back. She(the manager) then offered to replace that one wing and take 50% off that appetizer, but still ended up charging full price. Because she claimed that they replaced the full order. She even went to the extent of blocking me from commenting and reviewing on their Facebook page! What an embarrassment as a business establishment! She actually made a statement that«chickens are not bald, what do you expect? «she has more than one opportunity to correct the problem, but instead she chose to insult the customer! I’m sure they could have caught the problem during preparation, frying, or plating. Never again am I coming back!

Given how often my family comes here for lunch buffet I am surprised I haven’t written anything about it yet. To start, lunch buffet has a variation on food from what the weekend lunch buffet offers. Weekdays:(** means it’s for sure in the weekend menu also) 2 kinds of curry(red chicken and **yellow chicken) ** Veggie pad thai ** Curry fried rice ** Fried rice ** Porridge ** Mussels Vegetable medley Ground spicy chicken Spicy tofu ** Fried chicken Crab rangoon Potstickers Veggie egg roll Slices of poppy seed/chocolate chip/or blueberry muffins Coconut Jello **Fruit ** lettuce salad Weekend only: Phở noodle soup(not as good as Vietnamese Phở but good enough if you want a soup at a buffet) Herbal ground meat curry with noodles Red curry with Fish Sweet and sour fish Spicy papaya salad Taro coconut dessert Crunchy water chestnut coconut dessert Now onto the review: I enjoy the buffet food and can always get really full. A must try is the fried chicken, fish dishes are flavorful, but regarding everything else I would say it is based on your preferences since there are things I enjoyed and my friends like other stuff instead.(Probably because I can’t handle spicy food). I feel that the food you get from dinner menu is really authentic and a good portion. Although I usually get buffet, when I haven’t I either order a red curry, pad seew, fish cake appetizer, or Robin Hood ribs over fried rice.

Started with the Spring Rolls, my husband declared they were the best he’d ever had. Next we shared some Tom Ka Gai soup, it was sweeter than what I’ve had at other places or make at home, but overall not bad. Plenty of chicken, mushrooms, tomatos and cilantro in the broth. I had the chicken Pad Thai and asked for medium spicy. It was what I would call medium, but it also was strangely sweeter than I’ve had other places. Not bad, just surprising. There were lots of shredded carrots, bean sprouts and some large pieces of chicken. Husband tried the Bangkok Pavillion Fried Rice. It was OK, but he said he would order something different next time. I had a honeydew bubble tea, they serve them like slushies here which was fun, but by the end the bobas were frozen instead of chewy. Also, you guessed it, it was much sweeter than I’ve had other places.

The service here was really great. But I think the tables could have been cleaner. The table my boyfriend and I were at was sticky as well as the seats. We both ordered veggie spring rolls which were a tad oily and over cooked and had the pad Thai Jay for the entrée no eggs. This was a vegan dish and I thought the flavors were very nice. The noodles were over cooked and we’re sticking together. It was nice and quiet in there but I am not sure if we would return.

Service is good and quick. Pricing is about average for Thai food. Definitely one of the best spots to find sweet and savor ribs. Every time we order the Robin Hood ribs it’s always been on point. If you’re ever craving fresh young coconut juice without all the added sugars you will be able to find it here.

Not good. Had a groupon. Tried it. Didn’t like what I had, but I didn’t hate it either. 5 out of 10. Won’t return. A little«too real» Asia for my tastes, but maybe you like that.

This is a great reason to follow Unilocal.I’ve driven along Metcalf within a block of this restaurant many times, but would never have known to drive one block off Metcalf to this Thai restaurant, if I had not seen the Unilocal reviews. We were there for lunch, but we passed on the buffet and ordered from the menu to see what they can do. If you make clear what you want, you won’t be disappointed. For example, you can request rice noodles instead of rice. There is an upcharge, but you won’t know what you are missing, if you don’t get the noodles and add them to the leftover sauce from your entrée. I was a bit disappointed to find that they have chicken stock in all their soups. If you are a vegetarian or a pescatarian, you cannot have any of the soups. As a pescatarian, I also have to avoid everything deep fried on the menu, since everything they deep fry is fried in the same oil used with meat. But there are many choices on the menu that are seafood or vegetarian and not fried. All of the vegetables and tofu used in their preparations are very fresh, and we also were impressed by the shrimp. We got spice level 3. Next time, I might go for 4, but not 5(which is «Thai hot»). But if you are not accustomed to Thai spice levels, you might want to start with 2. In short, this restaurant is a winner.

I took the whole family here on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was very busy but we got right in. We felt well taken care of even though it was a buffet situation and they were so busy. A lot of times I feel lost in the shuffle in those types of situations. We all had the buffet. I am not a huge buffet person, but this one impressed me! They have a wide assortment including a Phở bar with someone serving it to you with fresh add ins like cilantro and bean sprouts. The Phở wasn’t amazing, but very good and fresh. The buffet offers fresh fruit, fried potstickers, small spring rolls and several varieties of fried rice and noodle dishes. They also offer several different add ins at the buffet like chili paste, peanuts and little dehydrated jalapeños which were very tasty. My son loved their fried chicken legs, he had 6 – 7 of them himself! He kept saying…“you’re bringing us here again” and«I love this place». The Sunday buffet was $ 12.95 per person, which I thought was more than fair considering all of the food available and all we tried. We will definitely be returning. I would like to return on a night when the buffet isn’t offered to try some other dishes as well. We had a great experience and enjoyed the food and service very much!

Great little thAi restaurant. I had the stir fry cashew chicken & it was loaded with fresh crispy vegetables, just the way I like. They have a full bar with a couple of BLVD beers along with the usual stuff. Service was very friendly, décor was nice. Prices are very reasonable. We ate dinner here & the entrees were about $ 11-$ 12 each. If you’re looking for some great ThAi food at reasonable prices with nice service you’ve found the place.

Love this place! However during this visit they waitress forgot to put in our order for sticky rice. It takes about 30 mins to make and goes well with the chicken larb. Although they did apologize and gave me a free thai tea, I really would have preferred the rice that I ordered. The Robin Hood ribs are excellent, especially with the special sauce they have on the side. It’s served on a bed of fried rice. Bangkok pavilion is one of my favorite places in town for thai.

OHMYGODYOUGUYS I love this place! Best curry in town, tied with Thai House on Holmes, in my humble opinion. The yellow curry is to die for! Everything else is delicious too, according to my family. I just stick with the yellow curry at dinner– I know what works for me. I get it with chicken and extra rice on the side. The staff is lovely, it’s very clean, their lunch buffet is a wonderful bang for your buck, and their Thai iced coffee is perfect. One bit of warning though– you order your level of preferred spiciness in a scale of 1 – 5. They claim 2 is mild/medium, and maybe I’m just becoming a wimp in my old age, but I swear that the 2 is more like a spicy 3 or 4. So order a smaller number than you think you’d like, or else have lots of milk and napkins on hand to beat the heat!
