Ive had facials at the Zona Rosa location and loved every one of them. But I NEEDED a massage, so I went here because it is way closer and I was able to get an appointment right away.
I loved that they tell you to come 30 min early. Some places just say come at your appointment time, then take massage time while you get ready. Nope, not here. I immediately felt relaxed as I put on my robe and was led to my foot bath. Other reviewers said that the foot bath room can be noisy with the attendants going in and out, but I went first thing in the AM on a Monday, so I guess that has a lot to do with it. My massage was by Ruby, who is a cupcake and too pure and wonderful for this world! She was very friendly and really takes the time to get to know her clients. She gave me excellent «homework» to help me work on my back and neck areas. I loved her so much, I booked a 90 min session with her in a few weeks!

Great men’s hair cut and a scalp massage to boot.

I finally decided to spend a little more for a good haircut. For $ 50 I got wacked, left side was left longer, chopped on right side… I even brought a photo of the cut I wanted. She shampooed & styled my hair before she started the cut??? Next day, I washed & tried to style & there was no use. I now put my hair into a pony to wait for it to grow back out. Great Clips does a better job. I will not be returning to them for any service.

Had a one hour stone massage from Jane. Came because I had an amazing 90 minute one with her 5 years ago. The quiet area to relax and soak your feet before your service is nice, although you can hear people as they walk by, and technicians come in and out a lot. My massage was nice, Jane was very nice and asked several times about pressure, and I chose my scent for essential oil she used on me. She helped the knots in my neck. The steam shower afterwards is awesome. I loved all the Aveda products and my skin felt wonderful the rest of the day. An attendant came in and out if the locker room often, which was somewhat distracting. You have to decide if a more expensive massage is worth these amenities or not. Not the cheapest massage, but I would recommend Par Exsalonce.

I’m not even sure my experience deserves a single star but I’ll give it one for even attempting to «fix» the splotchy blunt highlights I received.
I am a very easy going individual. Simply requesting Carmel and light blonde high and low lights throughout. Easy right?
My first service ($ 130) — I received splotchy (actual lines scattered horizontally) throughout my head and toned to be grey ash. Even though I asked for Carmel…
Second service (fix) — break up the obvious lines and make it look more natural, I’ll just deal with the color.
Third service ($ 200) — asked for dimension throughout… top of my head is black and a solid «ombré» line to white grey. Again… I asked for light blonde and Carmel with natural dark brown weave throughout.
They do not give refunds, only offer a «fix». My «fix» only made the situation worse.
My best friends mother is a hair dresser with Redken and said she’d rather be arrested than pay for what they did to my hair.
UPDATE: they read my review and contacted me for a refund for my last service.

I just moved to the area and was searching for an Aveda salon, online reviews seemed to favor Par Exsalonce… I was not that impressed. The haircut was about average, nothing special the stylist (Ashely) was very nice and was very attentive though. I will probably give the hair services another try, however I will not return for the eyebrow waxing services.
I showed the esthetician a picture (of myself) of how I wanted my eyebrows waxed/​shaped, she initially seemed confused and when she showed me the end result it did not resemble the picture. I had to ask her to pluck strays and to trim some areas, I don’t think a client should have to tell an experienced esthetician how to do their job, especially when given an exact visual of what was desired.

I was in the Kansas City area for business and found Par Exsalonce on Unilocal. Thank goodness I did! It was a stressful two days of meetings and the ambiance and excellent service really helped me relax. Bianca was wonderful the right blend of giving me space and time to relax and friendly interaction. I had the 1 hour pedicure and it was great. What a value too.

I was probably 3 months overdue for a haircut but am typically very hesitant to try any new places — a girl named Ashley cut my hair here. I absolutely LOVE my new haircut — would recommend her as well as the salon to anyone. She took her time, was very patient, and made sure I was happy with the look every step of the way. I would definitely come here again in the future.

This is my second time here, just as great of an experience. I love the relaxing foot bath but and flavored water before. This time I had Lindsey and she was awesome!

Horrible experience… I went for my mother’s day present for a massage. I was left in the relaxation room and forgotten about. I was in there for over 30 min. I finally had to go all the way to the front desk in my robe to find someone. My person giving my massage did not show up to work. I only got 30 min. Massage, still had to pay for it and did not get an offer from anyone for any kind of compensation for not getting my full service, being forgotten about, etc. Happy mother’s day to me… will not be going back!

Seriously, one of the best places to go for a great cut, manicure, pedicure, facial, and massage! Great customer service and decent prices! I love getting pampered, and this is where I go. You get extra added pampering with each and every service. Scalp massages with a cut, shoulder rub with my pedicure, and foot reflexology with my facial!!! You cannot go wrong! Bianca does beyond amazing pedicures, Nancy and Caroline are queens at facials, and Tinka is a genius at massage!

Bre is phenomenal! I am going to California for work in a few days, and I got a really bad haircut at another salon. I asked for an angled bob (I even showed him a picture of how my hair used to look when I had that cut), but he gave me a 1950s pageboy. I looked like Lancel Lannister from Game of Thrones, no joke.
I went to Par Exsalonce, and Bre worked a miracle. She was able to almost give me the angle I wanted (he cut it so short that it was almost impossible), and she textured it so that it was not poofy at all (like his cut was). She saved me from traveling to a work conference, looking like a fool. I can’t thank her enough!

Great place to go to get your hair cut and colored. Everyone you come in contact with are very nice and welcoming. I have my preferred hair dresser Jen. Her work is excellent and I always get rave reviews on my hair after a visit. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

These place is the current fix for me and my girlfriend’s spoilt luxury salon needs. I have my preferred hair-​dressers for my ever sneaky here and there weird hairdo requests. If you do visit them for a haircut, ask for the men’s refresher !! Females have a wider selection of services i believe, and we have tried some massages and facials. I have been in their College, Oak Park, Zona Rosa locations (ALL) due to appointment conflicts. Never disappointed. Keep up the good work.

Excellent place and excellent service! I’m always so excited to go, one because I get my eyebrows done and who doesn’t love to have perfect eyebrows and two because everyone is so welcoming!
This is the only place I trust with my eyebrows and I won’t go anywhere else!

I’ve been getting massages at Par Exsalonce for years. From the foot bath in the relaxation room with cucumber water in hand to the fantastic steam shower, every experience has always been wonderful.
I NEVER submit reviews. This may be my first ever on Unilocal.The spa staff went above and beyond for me this week. I went in for a facial with Carilyn. It was magnificent, even with all the extractions. :) I felt great after my facial. Left the spa only to realize that my favorite necklace was still in the pocket of my spa robe. I frantically called and spoke to Lynn at the reception desk. She and Carilyn turned the salon upside down looking for my necklace. She must have called me 5 times in just a few hours. She even let me go in and search the locker room area for myself. To no avail. A few hours later, as I was drowning my sorrows in a cocktail, I got another call. Lynn had found my necklace in the lint trap of the linen dryer!!! I was elated!
I went in the next day to pick up my necklace and give Lynn a bottle of wine for all her efforts. She told me that while she had found it, Carilyn had spent some time taking knots out of the chain for me. Is that customer service or what?!
Thank you, Par Exsalonce. I was already a satisfied customer. Now I’m a customer for life!

I’ve experienced both the Spa and the Salon and was not disappointed! If you are looking for color, Alison is the best I’ve ever had. She’s done mine 3 times and every time is I’ve been blown away. My family didn’t even think that my highlights were dyed! Whether you’re looking for natural or DRASTIC, Alison is the stylist for you.
