Good, fast, fresh — the location makes it a good lunch option for me. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I like the Asian fusion style, which borrows from various culinary styles — Chinese, Thai, Japanese — in creative ways. Nothing too out of the ordinary, though, it’s a spin-off of PF Chang’s menu, so you’ve probably had it before. I like the fresh wok prep that happens after you’ve ordered, which puts it head & shoulders above your typical steam-table Chinese buffet… choose your style, choose your protein, voila. For the reviewers who find that this is difficult — seriously, how do you get dressed in the morning? No complaints about mushy rice, either, it’s been fine every time I have had it. I love this place. I was there many times. Delicious! Mongolian chicken is always awesome and ginger broccoli. Me and my husband tried about 10 dishes and all were wonderful!

This was my first time eating at a Pei Wei restaurant. The food was good. I ordered the Thai chicken dish and the pork rolls. The customer service was excellent in that they took the time to explain to me how everything worked. The chocolate chip cookie was moist. It seems as if they sell more of those than the snicker doodle cookies. It would be great if they made more of the chocolate chip. I believe I took the last one and this during lunch time.

I ordered the special Kung pao sushi. I was hoping it would be more flavorful. I have ordered the sushi two other times and I have been disappointed each time — won’t order it again. Just not flavorful. I shared the honey seared chicken and it was really good but prefer it to be a little spicier. I appreciate that the food is made fresh and everything else I have eaten here is really good.

My impression of Pei Wei has been quite positive, but the more I’ve gone the more I’ve begin to question it. I always get their sushi and naturally, I’ve tried all of their options. I was so ecstatic to find a place nearby my house that sold some! When I went here a second time, I noticed that their sushi is actually a lot smaller than what it normally should be(compared to all the other places I’ve been). The price for 8 is about $ 7 – 8. I must say, $ 7 is not worth it when you look down at your plate of sushi and think, «Oh. That’s it?» Order a bowl of rice(it’s like less than a dollar, add some soy sauce) to pick at when you’re done with the sushi. Trust me, you’ll want it if you’re still hungry and don’t want to awkwardly just wait for your friend to finish her meal. Nevertheless, Pei Wei is super chill inside. I’ve never seen it terribly busy(good for me, probably not too great for business), so it’s good to chat with a friend peacefully. Servers are nice. Great location, great tasting sushi(and Crab Rangoon), just wish you could get a better portion size!

We used to love eating here when they first opened. Not sure what has happened, but yesterday’s meal was awful. I ordered sweet & sour chicken cooked in a wok with vegetables and served with BROWN rice. The chicken was doughy and rather tasteless. The veggies were raw and cold. Broccoli florets were HUGE so I had to cut them with a knife to eat them. Carrots were sliced so thin I could see through them, and I counted about 8 slices in the bowl. The bean pods were cold and chewy. They put in plenty of strips of red pepper which overwhelmed the taste. Finally, the rice was not brown but mushy and gluey white rice. It was covered in brown sauce so I didn’t notice until I took a bite. My friend had already sent his food back because it was filled with red peppers, something he is allergic to. Otherwise, I would have sent my food back, too.

Wow… just wow. I’ve been to these restaurants in various states, and this one is the only one that sucks. Compared to other pei wei places, specifically the Thai dynamite here is terribly bland, with only the tangy sauce to save it. The chicken tasted very wrong and was poor quality. The rice, as other people have pointed out, is awfully mushy. Being an Asian who eats rice with every meal, tolerating this stuff is not something I will ever do again. Giving my order to the cashier, she just stared at me. Then she tried to repeat my order back, getting it completely wrong. Why. I’ve been using Unilocal for many years, but never until now have I been inspired to make an account and post a review. Thanks.

I had take out Friday night. I had the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Ginger Broccoli. bowl. Really like the fact that they gave you a measurable amount of wasabi with the roll, unlike most places. The bowl was OK, good ingredients but the sauce was bland and too sweet. Overall OK but not somewhere I’d go out of the way for.

Wow, that’s all I can say. This place is on the decline. Hunan pork served cold twice. Changed to sesame shrimp, over cooked and mushy white rice(I ordered brown) not one visit from manager after 3 mistakes. Look I know it’s not fine dining. But this isn’t fast food prices either. Too bad, I’ve always loved pei-Wei for its reliability.

Hot fresh food that is super yummy. My favorites are The fresh spring rolls and Kung Po chicken. The ability to have wine and beer is a big bonus. The lighting is nice so dining in is very pleasant. Take out is quick and thorough. Missing one star because on two occasions staff who bring your order and clean tables have been surly

Been here a bunch. They appear to be in decline and out of a lot of stuff, like beer and chopsticks. New menue is a trick to order and get what you want. They asked me to lift my feet so they could sweep under the table. Maybe could have waited?

Three solid visits since my first foray. Despite its chain status, it’s my go to spot for gluten free options right now. At least they tell you what’s in their food. Spicy chicken and shrimp is delicious with a side of brown rice. Keep it up Pei Wei!

Usually Pei Wei is a safe choice for us. We went to this location and got extra plates to share our food. We noticed that all the plates had an odd black substance on them. I went to ask for clean plates and the waiter proceeded to go through a stack of plates and noticed they were all dirty. He then handed me two plates that had the mysterious black substance on them. We also noticed the plates they put our food on had the black substance on them.

Stopped here late on a Monday evening after buying a computer from Microcenter which is across the street. Food smelled good from parking lot, so we decided to give it a try. Had a simple chicken fried rice bowl. It was made fresh and brought to our table. Good food, nice atmosphere. Would recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.

Very very friendly folks in the take out area. We order ahead online and it was easy. I even ordered a beer while I waited for the pickup as they were swamped. They even asked if I wanted a cold glass. a++++++

Painful ordering process… so much to do, you may as well cook at home. Pick this, pick that, pick something else. Anyway…after all that picking what you get is a flavorless bowl of ramen… but home ramen has more taste. I even ordered it spicy, but it was not. Also got pork egg rolls… also bland. Edible, yes. Delightful culinary experience, no. PS No Asian diners were present. This should have been my first clue.

There are some positives about Pei Wei and I’ll start with them first. The food is really fast, it’s chock full of fresh crispy veggies and they have a brown rice option. It’s definitely not my favorite Asian(ish) food, but it’s fast and convenient, so that means they’ll get my business every now and then, but perhaps less frequently after this visit due to the gross-out factor(read on…). The negatives? It can be difficult to find a clean table. During our last visit here, there were no napkins available. They did put more out, but providing napkins for customers, especially since the utensils/napkins are self-service, should be a no-brainer. The temperature in the restaurant is downright frigid in the spring/summer. It seems silly to make a place so cold to customers that it feels uninviting. The last little picky thing I have to say is that the person taking the orders was… well…picky. She could not leave her nose alone for more than a couple of seconds at a time. While I didn’t see her actually stick a finger up there, she was rubbing at it furiously every few seconds. It’s a bit gross when someone who is handing food, utensils, people’s credit cards, etc. has their hands all over their nose and doesn’t wash before doing other activities. It’s amazing to me that she thinks this behavior is ok, but maybe she thinks her secretions are special and she wants to share? Heck, I don’t know, but it was pretty disgusting. Management at this Pei Wei clearly needs to communicate and enforce cleanliness standards.

I was little surprised when I first walked in here. I expected«upscale» fast food to function more like a Chipotle or Panda Express, so I didn’t expect the kitchen to actually be in back. I took a few minutes with the menu before placing my to-go order and when paying I presented a gift card that I had received in June 2012 from an event sponsored by PF Chang’s. Unfortunately, they couldn’t accept my giftcard(but only because it was a specially issued one, they do typically take PF Chang’s cards here), but without even asking the manager came over and comped the $ 10 card from my order and even let me keep it, meaning I can now go to PF Chang’s and still use the $ 10 balance on it. Awesome!!! For my order, I got the honey seared shrimp and orange peel shrimp as well as an order of the crab wontons. I really loved the honey shrimp. It is very similar to the honey crusted shrimp from PF Chang’s and absolutely the best. I wasn’t too won over on the orange peel chicken that was for the husband. I adore the orange chicken from Panda Express(#crack), so I think I had the bar too high in comparison to that. Both dishes came with brown rice and I thought it was a bit dry and I was wanting more of the sauce from the shrimp leftover to mix with the rice, but that didn’t happen. The crab wontons(aka rangoons) were really good. You can rarely taste/see crab in crab rangoons because they are SO heavy on the cream cheese, but these had actual shredded crab in them which I liked. Overall, for«fast food», Pei Wei is a win. The customer service here really won me over and that honey shrimp is worth a trip again and again. Unfortunately there isn’t a location too close for me, but if they come to the Northland I would be more of a regular customer!

I’m a fan of Pei Wei. In fact every time I travel from downtown to the ‘burbs I think about going to Pei Wei. Most recently I was headed to OP around 8:30pm and was able to get some Pad Thai since PW is open until 9pm! Props for being open later than 7. Since it was about time to close I could tell they probably cut some staff. The girl behind the counter was on the phone for a bit before a cook finally asked me what he could get started for me. «Chicken Pad Thai!» I said. This was great because even though I had to wait to place my order and pay, I knew it was already being made so net time lost is minimal. The host was apologetic and quick to take my order and dollars. I love that this is a chain feel but you can still sit at the bar and watch the cooks make your dish. It actually looks like a lot of fun to cook here, I was wondering if they were hiring despite having a cushy job already. Shakin’ woks all day is probably fun right? The Pad Thai was pretty standard. The chicken was very soft, the noodles were big and cooked nicely. Topped with chunks of the tiniest peanuts I’ve ever seen and a sprig of basil on top to give a nice ‘fresh’ look. I’ve also had the orange chicken and brown rice, also a really solid meal. And best of all the price point is right on… point. They also sell saporo and wine!

one of my friends raved about their Dan Dan Noodles. I was craving something(like I think they are supposed to taste) so I grabbed an order for carry out. they were fine. not even good fine, just okay fine. if I wasn’t super hungry, I don’t think I would have tossed most of it in the trash. the noodles were a bit overcooked and the chicken was really salty. also, I noticed they had combos with a few of their regular stir-fry dishes. I was second guessing my decision after I placed my order, but noticed the long line behind me so I didn’t want to hold it up. I MIGHT try this place again, but like the last Chinese place I ate, Pei Wei has kind of turned me off of anything Asian for a little while.
