Horrible customer service. We recently moved our office to a new location and needed up setting up our computers to enable them to network with one another. About a week ½ ago, we had a man come set that up for us. Everything seemed to work fine. He also suggested we upgrade 2 of our computers to Windows 10(the third is hooked up to an old plotter printer. he suggested we NOT change that computer to Windows 10 in case it wasn’t compatible with the printer.) So, we did what he suggested. Well. Yesterday the computers stopped working with one another(they were no longer networking together). We called a man to come look at the problem and see if he could fix it. He came yesterday and looked at all the computers. He couldn’t figure out why they weren’t networked together and his only solution was to revert the computers back to Windows 7. So, we trusted his recommendation and let him proceed. This morning, we come to work and the computers are STILL not working. We called the store to see if they had any answers /could send someone to fix the problem. Now, I understand things come up and computers may not always work the way we want them to /people have a hard time diagnosing the problem. HOWEVER — when we called them to see if they could help their response was«we can’t figure out the problem. we will just refund your money» They didn’t offer to send someone out to look at it, they didn’t take the time to see if they could find someone from another store who might be able to fix it. They basically said they couldn’t fix it. See ya. The manager was TERRIBLE at providing a solution and TERRIBLE at providing any sort of customer service. I DONOTRECCOMENDTHISSTORE.

This place is a joke. I stopped in for some simple binder tabs and noticed that there were a TON of stickers on the shelves directing people to online shopping. Ummm. if I’m standing in a store, I want to buy & need them now, especially when it comes to office supplies. No one wants a cranky boss or sloppy presentation. This place is pretty good sized too. They, of course, didn’t have the simple tabs I needed so I commented on my way out. The associate just said that they weren’t a normal store, something like they were only a «face» location. This means they want their name in the area but not stock their store the way it should be; hence, all the online stickers. So bizarre and irritating when you’re in need of supplies!

I never send Christmas cards. As a matter of fact I don’t send cards for anything. The day before said event requiring a card I think, oh, I need to send a card. People just know not to expect it from me. Then comes Groupon with a great promotion from Staples so I decide this year I will send cards. I decide to make the cards specific to my schedule for ease of pick up. The online process took forever as the site kept getting errors. No big deal, everyone was probably trying to make cards. I finally get my cards designed and receive the email that they are ready, perfect! Almost… In the email that tells me my cards are ready is a message saying that although my cards are ready they don’t have any envelopes for them and they should be in next week. This does not work. I ordered the cards specifically to have over the Thanksgiving break so I can get them done and ready to go before the last few weeks of classes occupy every waking and should be sleeping moment of my life. I call the store and the print guy gets me a manager. The manager(I would later find out Greg is an assistant manager) tells me the same thing as the print guy, no envelopes, nothing they can do, they have them on order and if the warehouse has them they should be available next week. Wait… You can’t even promise me the envelopes will be here next week? Am I the only one who understands that Christmas cards are time sensitive? This is unacceptable. Greg apologizes and says there is nothing he can do. Ok Greg, the manager, let me «manage» the situation for you… Do you carry envelopes for customers to buy that would fit the cards? Nope, they don’t. He says he already had the print guy check that. Is there another store that has the envelopes? Nope, all stores are out of envelopes because volume has been really high and no one apparently anticipated releasing a Groupon would cause an increase in volume that should have been prepared for. Is there a local company that envelopes can be ordered from to resolve this being you have no idea if and when envelopes will come in? Corporate didn’t tell them they could seek a local supplier. How about asking corporate if this can be done? Nope, that can’t be done, but here is a number for me to call corporate and see if the store can do that. Really Greg? I am the one who needs to call corporate to resolve my issue? I call the number Greg gave me. It is a number to buy a $ 100 voucher and if you don’t buy or qualify the call ends. I call Greg back who puts me on a terribly long hold, I honestly thought he was evading me like when he gave me a fake corporate number, but Greg actually took the time during the long hold to contact other stores(wait this idea of seeing if other stores may have envelopes sounds familiar) and find some envelopes for the cards. Greg returns with good news that another local store has the needed envelopes and asks how he should get them to me. Awwww, Greg, we were starting to do good here, but I will continue to «manage» the situation for you. After being a little hesitant and me suggesting multiple people including him, an employee, the manager who comes to work later, etc. who could pick up the product so it is available, Greg agrees that the envelopes will be available when I come to pick up my order. My cards look awesome! The best Christmas card ever created! I am happy with that part of the transaction. I am a little disappointed I did not receive compensation for doing Greg’s job for him, but overall happy I was able to resolve my issue for him. Before an email was even sent to a customer, management should have been addressing this issue and finding a resolution, especially considering it was a very easily resolvable issue.

Staples is never around when I need one. This one is 20 miles away, so I only go when I’m in the area. I wanted to get the ARC system and paper suitable for my fountain pen obsession. Staples didn’t dissatisfy my paper need,(want.) They were vague in the pen area, which is why I don’t bother with big stores or unspecialized office supply stores… ugh…to the pens with nib supply. Meh to the general pen aisle. Nothing to note. They do have basic Cross fountain pens for $ 15, by the way. But not anything exciting. Basic Cross, Parker, etc. The employee didn’t know about paper weight or tooth of the paper, smootness for definition. That’s to be expected. I left with the ARC system that is equal to the $ 40 – 60 Levenger Circa system, at a fraction of the cost. That satisfied me. But it’s still too far for me to go for paper.

I just been the staples store in Lenexa of Kansas, i try to purchase laptop, when I try to used the coupon which is 100 off when u spend 499.99. They are refuse to sold me the item Evan the coupon is not expired! They said I am reseller. This is first time I been this location, and I found the coupon online. But Doug who is store manager with bad attitude say he doesn’t want to sell any item to me! He makes me feel like he doesn’t welcome any Asians to come to staples in Lenexa, Kansas. I mean if u doesn’t want me to use coupon, you can ask me to leave! Not with bad attitude to talk to me, this is not right for service, I try to bring the business to staples. If they not welcome Asians, I think I would go to the bestbuy behind to instead. Anyway, thank Doug draw to make me feel how much he hates Asian!

This is an easy location to visit. Sure, there are a lot of office stores around, but this is kind of a small store that you can zip in and out of in a hurry. No need to walk 100 miles for a box of paperclips in this little store. I’d just come from Costco where I’d been looking for some shipping supplies. I couldn’t find the same stuff they had listed on their website, so I stopped here. I got exactly what I needed and it was $ 4 less than listed on Costco website, plus it only took me 5 minutes and I didn’t have to deal with all the people standing in the aisles sampling on a Saturday morning. I will be back to this location!
