A diamond in the middle of Nebraska. From the looks of the exterior, expectations are low. But we took the advice of previous Unilocalers, and took the plunge. This Indian food ranks among the great Indian restaurants as far away as London or California. The staff is more than friendly, attentive, and overall good people. The chef came out to check on us and make sure our food met our expectations. We had chicken vindaloo as the main dish. We supplanted that with veggie samosas which were so good. And we also tried the garlic naan. My fiancé says the garlic naan was outstanding. I did not partake. But the chicken vindaloo was excellent. If you are on highway 80 through Nebraska, make a point of stopping. Exit 248.

The place looked deserted, and I wasn’t sure it was even open. But, like previous reviewers have stated, as soon as I opened the door, I could tell it was going to be good. I’ve had Indian food in a lot of places, and this ranks right up there with the best. Spiced to your taste. My husband and I went with medium heat and were glad we didn’t ask for hot. We will definitely stop here again on our way home to Colorado

I know Nebraska isn’t known for Indian food, but if you find yourself crossing this paradise, you may want to stop by and fill up on some authentic food that spanks the other I-80 options. The garlic Naan is a must with whatever you choose.

This place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and serves the best North Indian food. The malai kofta was creamy and delicious. The rotis were soft and fresh. If you happen to pass by this place, do visit and taste their Lassi as well.

Excellent Punjab region Indian food and extremely accommodating with vegan modifications! It is worth the stop right on I-80 in Overton, Nebraska. Very price competitive, you would pay much more in a larger location. We stopped for diesel and the loo. It is not somewhere that beckons visually, however you know that you’ve hit a jackpot when you open the door and the smell wafts out. The service was attentive and friendly, the chef came out to make sure our food was good, and there was nothing wanting. The chef makes it fresh, so relax and enjoy being out of the car. Servings were generous(more for lunch tomorrow) and perfectly spiced. We were intrigued by the garlic chili naan, which was very flavorful. We also tried the Chana Masala, Bengal Bhartha, and Aloo Matar. They were all excellent. What an unexpected and welcome surprise! Add this one to you trip planner, especially for those in search of plant-based fare.

We stumbled upon this unusual spot on a previous trip, when we were looking for snacks. We’d already eaten, sadly — because it smelled incredible. I got a mango lassi for the car, and we promised ourselves the next time we made the trip from Colorado to Iowa we would eat a proper meal here. We just finished doing that, and it was amazing! The chicken tikka was good. and the saag was fantastic. not super creamy like at a restaurant(which I like but always feel vaguely guilty about). Everything tastes homemade and fresh, and perfectly spiced. The garlic naan was so so good. And I have the rest of my mango lassi with me in a to-go cup because it was huge — and too delicious not to finish! This place is a unique gem off I-80 in Nebraska(Overton exit), WELL worth planning your meal stops around. The service was so sweet and personal, it feels more like a family restaurant than a truck stop! But, hey, it is a truck stop so you can conveniently fill up after you eat. The only thing is, they don’t have an ATM… they of course take credit cards, but plan to have a little cash on hand for a tip. The gift shop is really fun to poke around in, too, while you’re waiting for your food. Can’t wait to come back!

The goat curry was best to taste with basmati rice and some garlic naan. Oolala. As you walk in the store you can smell the curry and it was amazing. I could not keep my mind under control. The service was amazing, it was very clean, people were very friendly. It is also a truck stop which recently opened so I even got the fuel and was ready to hit the road with full tummy. Will stop here again and try other curries too !
