Spa and No 1 Nails

Very nice, bright, and clean. Gel mani, regular pedi, and eyebrow wax totalled $ 65. My nail tech, Lee, was kind and professional.

No good for me. I wanted to check out a nail place closer to where I recently moved to. I went in on Saturday morning. No wait, so that was good. I had my two daughters with me, 6 and 7. My girls were getting manicures as they have done several times in the past and me a gel manicure. I was told by the technician that my girls were too young for a manicure and they would be better off with a polish change. That was crazy to me but we proceeded and just went with the polish change. The nail tech was a little rude to my daughter and I had to explain what she wanted. As I said my daughter had gotten her nails done many time before so she is aware of how this works. Anyway I straightened that out and my daughter got what she wanted. My youngest had no issues, her nail tech was great. I went with a gel manicure and the tech was very rough and even filed my skin a few times. The out come was less than average and sad to say that, today is Monday and 4 of my nails have chipped. I will not be returning. I will stick with my old nail salon and just with the travel.

I’ve been going to this nail salon for about 3 months now and Kim always does a great job. My gel manicures never chip or peel.

Based on other reviews and my recent experience, I would venture to say that this nail shop is a hit or miss type of place. There was a constant flow of customers male and female all backgrounds for all kinds of services. I had about a 10 min wait which is not bad. I really wanted to try the mood/​color changing polish that I had seen at a nail salon in Towson but this place did not appear to have that. They have a decent range of colors. The place was bright and clean. Spacious as well. As for what I got done, it was average. Nail designs on my feet were far from symmetrical (I have a bit of OCD so it looks so off to me) but its pretty. I got acrylic with gel overlay on my fingernails — turned out OK. What I don’t like about gel is the air pockets which I got :-/​2 nails not painted to the bed which also annoys me. Overall the polish work is neat. I may try the place again. But *shrugs*

Today I went in for my eyebrows to be cleaned up. The woman whose name i don’t know, was very rough. She kept whipping my head around each time she would go to place the wax. She also spit on my lip! That may have been an accident but I thought it was nasty. Anyway, I did not like the job she did at all! Wish I knew her name then I would be able to tell everyone to stay away from her.

Love this place. Been going here for a while and have had a great experience everytime. Casey and Lee are Awesome. Worth the drive for me and the money! LOVE!

I decided to go here to fix the bad nail job I got from Avalon. I was quickly assisted and my thumb nails were painted with a color very similar to the others. I think I’ll go back the next time I need a color change.

I had such a great experience tonight! We got there 30 min. before closing so I was worried that they would rush us out. NOT only did they NOT RUSH US. .they were friendly, social, hospitable, thorough. .plus ALL OF THAT.
To top it off Sean ran out into the parking lot. .AFTER CLOSING. .to bring me the sunglasses that I left. I’ll definitely be back!

No reservations on Sunday. I waited for 10 mins. My nail technician was efficient and friendly. Clean tools and new massage chairs.

I was waiting for over 90 minutes but when I got in the chair and told her I only had an hour she did everything so fast! Full set stiletto nails I love them so much. I will definitely be coming back

Excellent customer service. Left a nail salon to go to this one because of poor customer service and was pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting and drink offer. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the tech was a little bit rough with the cuticle trimmer and ran cold water on my feet then splashed me with really hot water when rinsing the bowl. The pedicure was beautiful nonetheless.

So far I am happy that my exoerience at the other salon was less than pleasant. I was greeted warmly upon my arrival and promptly attended to.

Great nail salon, great location in owings mills. I go here often, very clean professional environment. You are greeted by a friendly staff, offered a drink and very rarely have a long wait time. I usually go during the week, also I think it’s best to make an appointment if you are going on the weekend. I think it gets pretty busy on Friday after work hours or Saturdays. My nail technician is Sky, and she is excellent, my mom goes to Casey, and she fell in love with the great job and professionalism. Overall this nail salon is excellent, I can honestly say it’s the best in the area, I live in newtown and have tried them all. Way to go Spa #1 nails! See you soon!
