Downtown Oxford Inn & Suites

The staff are very friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. They are very comfortable. It is near everything. Most places are within 2 miles or less. It’s also right by the Square and you can easily walk to many of the amazing restaurants and stores the Square has to offer. I’ve enjoyed my stay here while away from home for training.

they have now buried their pool which was disappointing since we were returning for a visit. the lobby was being painted but there were no noticeable signs until after several of us damaged our clothes with paint. the staff member thought we should have seen the signs hidden under a counter – which were promptly displayed after the gaffe. hotel thought we should have been able to smell paint and know where to look? rooms were okay but, burying the pool to save insurance money seemed shortsighted or a hotel with some money issues.

Very convenient to the downtown square — restaurants, bars, shopping — all walkable.
There was a renovation going on while we were there so maybe they’re sprucing the lobby up a bit? Either way, it’s a standard kind of place, nothing super fancy or outstanding but the staff was nice and the location cannot be beat.
Would definitely stay here again if passing through Oxford.

Nicely appointed rooms. Very convenient to the square (1 block north). Staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth staying there.

what a shithole. i lived in oxford for about 8 yrs and saw the «renovations» they made yrs back. just stayed here for a weekend: first room had a crack in the door that leaked every bit of the 99 degrees outside; housekeeping literally busted into our room with no warning the first morning we woke up — this happened three times the second morning; black mold in the bathroom… it was shameful. it’s still just a holiday in with a cheap, walmart suit on.
as soon as i checked in, i decided to take a dip in the pool. i jumped in and came up out of the water. before i could even open my eyes, i was being questioned as a guest at the hotel. i rudely told them i had just checked in and if they could please get out of my way i could get out of the pool. by then, my patience was shot to hell and tolerance was long gone.
i’ll never stay here again. cant believe how much it is to stay in what should be a motel 6. location is ALL this place has going for it.

It seemed to be o.k. at first. The next morning we were receiving knocks on the door a few hours before check out and then felt rushed. I accidentally left a new hat in the room and received very little help on trying to retrieve it. My number was taken down twice and I never received any follow up call. Just make sure you don’t leave any belongings behind because you will get very little help on recovering them.
