James Food Center is something of a secret kept by locals. It just looks like an average gas station, but inside is a small refrigerated counter with DELICIOUS takeaway food, especially the chicken salad. Luckily a sweet lady I used to work with once brought sandwiches she’d made with this stuff to the office for lunch. After trying a bite of the best chicken salad I’ve ever had, I asked her for the recipe. Unfortunately, she didn’t have it, but told it me it came from the James Food Center. I was hooked ever since. This stuff is unbelievable, and I always had to hide it from my roommates when I lived in Oxford, lest it all disappear from the fridge.
