Mid China

I got to Mid China by my GPS listing of restaurants. I walked in and found 3 employees sitting and watching soccer on TV (one sleeping). A friend and I ordered to stay and sat down at a filthy table. We pointed it out to one of the employees who at first didn’t seem inclined to clean it, but finally did. The food was prepared and my lo mein nor the wan ton soup were «acceptable» at best. My friend gave instructions (dietary) that were not followed and had to be re-​done. I won’t be back.

Ordered delivery guy said 40 minutes an hour and a half later I call them to hear the news it’s not coming cause there busy and I have to wait another 45 minutes needless to say I will never order from there again and I was a frequent customer

Everything at this place is delicious. Food is great, people are very friendly. Even the delivery guy is really nice. Mid China is a takeout restaurant that reminds me of how good Chinese food used to taste from the sitdown Chinese restaurants back when I was a child. Get the dim sums. Get the fried dumplings. The House special lo mein is great, the house special fried rice is great, the house special chow ho fun is excellent. Pretty much order anything house special and you can’t go wrong. They give you large pieces of everything in the house special dish options. Another great thing is it’s not as expensive as other Chinese food takeout/​delivery places in the area, for example Golden temple.

Waited almost an hour and a half for a delivery. Called and they said they were «busy» — ok, then hire a second delivery guy. On the weekend, this kind of volume should be anticipated. On top of that, our food was not fresh when it arrived… it was all sticky and hard. Of course, this is because the delivery guy was unable to get it to my door in a timely manner. Oh, and they forgot our sodas too. Chinese places are a dime a dozen and this one is of no value at all. Mid China is LOW quality, unapologetic, grey meat.

Staff can be unpleasant at times and food is hit or miss… Asked for white meat one time they said it was but it wasn’t…

I went in and was nicely greeted. I ordered just lo mein for my son. They made my food in under 5 minutes. The food was good. Not salty and not too oily. The price was reasonable unlike some who charges double the price but tastes the same.

Okay Chinese delivery, usually order from here instead of the other places around. The dumplings are good

I got chicken lo main. They mix chicken with some other meet that looks like chicken. And that other meet has a nasty taste, hope it’s not rat.

Best Chinese take-​out in the area by far.

The food here is really good. I never ordered something I didn’t like. The prices are fair. They also have sushi but since I don’t eat fish I can’t tell how good it is

Oyster Bay is sadly devoid of any good cheap food or late night munchies besides a McDonalds. Mid China simply has fair prices and good Chinese food. I like the steamed wontons, shrimp egg roll, young chow fried rice, and chicken with mixed vegetables. You can also ask for white meat with the General Tso’s chicken.
They offer sushi too but from the looks of the fish in the refrigerator, it doesn’t look like they sell much of it. My friend said the sushi is fine but I’m sticking with what I know they do well, Chinese.

Probably the best Chinese take out on Long Island– EVERYTHING is fresh and tasty.
I know, I know, you probably think that you’ve «seen one, seen em all» but this one blows away the competition.
