No neighborhood Chinese spot is perfect but I discovered this place from my sister. I’ve ordered 3 times so far and each time it’s tasted fresh, tasty and clean. Will continue ordering until they fall off like every other delivery restaurant lol

Lots of seating space but the food isn’t «great». Nothing impressive in terms of food quality or menu choices. Only reason I’m giving this a 2 Star is because it was 4 of us and 1 person out of the group said they didn’t mind the food.

I ordered the Hawaiian duck and it was horrible. It was to sweet and the duck was tough. My wife had the seafood delight and it had small shrimp and not tasty.

So far one of the best Chinese spot I’ve gone to. Great food and I’m very picky when it comes to these type of places. The restaurant it self is very nice. A must go.

Ok so maybe my mistake was ordering all Thai I’m not ready to quite give up as its my first time ordering and I have a feeling it’s not all bad(and I believe in 2nd chances) so we ordered chicken teriyaki which was basically just shredded chicken with onions and peppers, way to much onions and peppers, I ordered the beef basil fried rice but it was dry a bit sweet and mostly flavorless not at all what I expected the pan fried dumplings where also pretty flavorless maybe it’s unfair because I’ve eaten way to much awesome Thai food and this was a sure miss … I’m going to try there Chinese part because I saw most people comment on that hopefully it’s much better !

I must start off by saying that I’m disappointed that such a beautiful, welcoming place like this has no parking. I do understand that it’s because of the location but, gosh, after eating there you’ll definitely want to return. I had a small shrimp fried rice which is the usual portion served as small but Golden Way sticks out because the meal isn’t the same as the«every corner or every block Chinese restaurant. The menu is Chinese but prepared like Thai. Light with the salt, seasoned, non oily. Also, unlike the traditional Chinese restaurants, it doesn’t seem like the shrimps are counted before they are added to the meals; there was a lot more than the traditional ones use. The interior is beautifully lit and relaxing and although it’s on a main thoroughfare it’s quiet inside. It’s a cool place to dine in although you’ll equally be satisfied with take out.

EXTREMELYSALTY– ordered the szechuan style bean curd which is supposed to be, by nature, slightly spicy and have hints of ginger and sesame. The sauce was just straight SALT. And the man who delivered it made me come outside and come to his car window to take the bag through the window, and there were empty beer cans littered on his floor. A waste of $ 15– will not be returning.

«Hit and Miss — Dine In or Take Out» comes the grumblings and mumbling from the office staffers as we prepare a hefty lunch order. Trying to put holiday eating behaviors behind me I chose an appetizer called Pla Muok Tod AKA: Fried Calamari, a Chinese food first for me but upon inspection the omni present Thai and or Chinese brown sauce gave all indication of a dual ethnic approach to the menu. As I slinked around the office, plucking off a few plates(yes, with a fork) I sampled the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Roast Pork Ends and an Egg Roll all of who’s typical taste and texture lent itself to my continual Chinese food theory. There is only one Chinese food kitchen in all on NYC connected to a giant under– ground vacuum tube that sucks the order to the address that has placed the request. A fair amount of orders with brown rice never made it to home base. Perhaps I will have to sit down and dine in to receive the proper treatment — and food.

I left a previous review where I gave this place three out of five stars. I gave them another try with their shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein. It exceeded my previous experiences. I had them cook the shrimp fried rice spicy and it was on point. My wife enjoyed her noodles very much as they properly seasoned it. Once again their shrimp dumplings are to die for. delivery was quick and painless. I also like the fact that you can order straight from Unilocal

The food here is really good. Love eating here rather than take out or delivery. Their chicken wings are on point! General Tso’s chicken is another goodie

It’s always hard ordering from a new Chinese place because you can’t be sure of the quality you’ll get. I was very pleasantly surprised when we had delivery from here tonight. The ordering was all online, no hassle. You can include the tip and payment so when they show up at the door all you have to do is dig in! I had the vegetable low mein and chicken and broccoli. My friend had the all white meat General Taos. All was really good and came with lots of rice. Deliver is $ 2 but was very fast and the food was piping hot! I’ll be back next Chinese food craving!

When it comes to take-out Chinese, Golden Way never disappoints. The General Tso’s Chicken can be ordered white meat and it is delicious. We had chicken with broccoli, hot and sour soup and egg rolls. Everything was A+

Always a seat available and the food is served hot! Parking can be hard to find. The servers are friendly and quick. The food always taste fresh. It’s a good place to go for familes with kids or for a date and it’s not experience. They also now serve wine and beer. I truly enjoy this restaurant.

The few times I’ve been here I’ve been legitimately the only costumer eating in the dark. The table clothes are stained and filthy & I’ve actually received some dirty silverware. The last and final time I was ever there I encountered a worker folding her laundry in the booth next to mine. I would never actually order anything here as far as food aside from chicken and rice soup which is actually pretty good. But anywhere can make decent soup. This place should honestly be shut down for its lack of cleanliness.

Chinese food has never impressed me and I RARELY ever eat it. I could eat Golden Way everyday. Enough said. **** Their ‘Thai’ food is NOT authentic at all. So if you’re a fan of Thai cuisine, don’t waste your money. I know, I know, I was excited too… but remember what area we live in and just order the Chinese food.

Bland flavor. I asked them to make my food extra spicy and it was barely spicy. It wasn’t awful, but still not worth the price.

Le sigh Maybe I spoke too soon. Never reordering from here. We reordered… and lets just say it really is a hit or miss. The Gai Pat Prik King was not what I expected at all. There weren’t enough spices in the dish and there were WAY too much string beans and not enough chicken. All of those string beans started making me feel super nasueated. Maybe its because they were closing within the hour, but I still don’t think thats a valid excuse. Meh. Oh well.

Pretty decent Chinese food. They take cash or credit card. Take out, eat in, or free delivery. Food is consistent with taste and portions. Try to order the lunch specials. I think it’s before 3:30. It will be a lot cheaper.

I love this place. the noodles and duck is a good start. They give you alot for your money, this includes soup, main course and dessert. I love their chicken fried rice and lo mein. Their thai menu is good especially the pineapple fried rice. The ambiance is quiet which is good. the staff is very friendly, Their tea is really good. would definitely recommend.

Seems like it’s always a hit or miss here. I ordered some pad thai via Grubhub and truthfully, had mixed feelings with it. Sometimes the pad thai’s awfully good and then other times, dry. I have trouble getting the noodles out with my fork! And I’m not just talking about the pad thai alone. Although, I enjoy their tea and the egg crackers when I decide to dine in. They’re not skimpy on the bean curd nor shrimp in the main dishes that I order, but seems to lack some vegetables. Taking the pad thai, for example, if I order the bean curd pad thai, they give a lot of bean curd and one cut end of scallions(if I’m lucky!), then that’s it. I don’t know if that’s how it is usually is in Chinese restaurants but when I order eggplant with garlic sauce, I LITERALLY just get eggplant on sauce. Delivery and pickup times are very prompt(when we ordered online), service is good(though at times awkward) but the food is what keeps my boyfriend and I hesitant on coming back. They have a good deal for lunch that includes a soup or soda, but it’ll be even better when it tastes good.

Great and original tastes for both Chinese and Thai food! Golden Way has been in this spot for an easy 20+ years. Their unassuming subtle storefront located in between the busier areas of Ozone Park and Howard Beach make it sometimes easy to drive past,. but after eating there once again, I have to say they are one of best tasting chinese food spots around,. and one of the best priced! I especially like their Chicken & Broccoli Chow Fun(Broad Noodles) with Spicy Sauce. Their lunch specials get you a lot of food for the buck, including a full pint of wonton soup. The Thai dishes are also very good to give you an option to sway from the typical chinese fare. Definitely worth a try if you are driving down Crossbay Blvd.
