Thank god this place closed. The short white guy that would always have the mic was a douche!

The place used to be fun, but the quality of the food is horrible. After been there last Tuesday I got sick for 2 days. How can you process such horrible food?

The fact that this place is a Niners bar is awesome! It’s great to go to a place where you can watch the game with fellow 49er Faithful. The reason that this place lost two stars is their food. Do not eat here. Drink, watch a game but don’t eat here. The food is garbage. Their fires are stale and taste like fish. Their coleslaw is nothing more than shredded green cabbage with a little mayo in it. Where is the purple cabbage, the fresh cracked pepper, salt and the carrots?

Fun place ! Great crowd usually. But the drinks are not so good. Worst margarita I’ve ever tried !

Watched a concert at this venue. Seemed like kind of an awkward set up with the booths and tables .kind of a typical dive bar. dirty, dark, but the concert was cheap so we get what we pay for

I have not been to this bar in years. When I first went here it was good I loved it but once I got older I realized it is for fresh 21 year olds and newbies to San Diego. This is a very large bar with a dance floor there are multiple places to get a drink inside. I probably won’t be back to typhoons ever but it enjoyed it when I was 21 – 22 years old.

I live in PB and sometimes I just want to dance without getting all fancy and dressed up. I like(or liked) to go Tuesday’s since everyone’s out for taco Tuesday. Yes, they have long lines, sometimes around the corner. I’m lucky enough to bypass the line. It looks like typhoons is popular with all the foreigners in the area, So I’ve steered away from this place. Mostly because our culture and other cultures seem to clash in the how-to-treat-women department.

Just yuck lol. Bad food, worse music, line to get in. The vibe is like a high school dance. The front room needs a makeover. The whole space has potential, but it just caters to the 21 year olds. The exact demographic with the least disposable income. Care to rethink strategy guys?

Huio was terrible with all customers and manager didn’t understand me. Here is the story I just sitted with my friends and Hulio poured bear to my hand and when I asked napkin(he said don’t touch me) He wasn’t polite. Owner of this bar, here is the big complaning for the Hulio and manager.

Sometimes you just feel like going dancing, not to somewhere fancy, but somewhere that just has a big dance floor. I wouldn’t say this was the cleanest venue that I’ve been to, but as for dance floors in PB, I’d have to say this was the most enjoyable. But then again, you wouldn’t expect anything fancy in PB. So this place is great. The dancefloor is huge, compared to everywhere else on PB. The music they played was dance-able, a mix of edm and some top 40’s. I didn’t drink here so not sure about drinking. But there’s plenty of bars across the street if you want something… I believe the cover was something around $ 5, not extremely expensive. A 3.5 stars sorta venue.

Been to Typhoon for multiple different occasions(Taco Tuesday, football games, New Years Eve, etc.) and I’ve never been wowed with my experience. The bar itself is on the older side and is very run down. The people that work here aren’t exactly the friendliest and the crowd that comes here regularly are rowdy and disrespectful. I’m not sure how they are able to charge a cover and still manage to have crazy lines because I don’t get the hype of why people would want to keep coming back. I will say it is a good bar to watch 49ers games even though it can get very crowded and rowdy. It is also one of the only bars in PB with a huge dance area in the back room. Despite this if given the choice between Typhoon and the majority of other bars in PB I would probably go elsewhere.

The fact that this place has a line down the block baffles me. I have been to typhoons more than enough times to know that it doesn’t match up to 95% of the places in PB. It’s always crowded, takes forever to get a drink, and the crowd that comes here is like 25 – 35 year olds that can’t move on and still think they just turned 21. I will say I have never been for a football game(especially the 49ers) and I have heard that its a lot of fun for those events. But as for a tuesday, thursday or weekend night I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Typhoon Saloon is relaxed. I’ve always had a good time there. Mostly when I was in my early 20s. I remember loving to dance there. There’s a back area with a club-like feel, DJ’s, platforms, loud music, 3 levels with a VIP area…(this is all based on my experiences from my several years ago, so it may have changed) the front entrance is more relaxed and quiet, so it sort of has something for everyone. You can order food from the restaurant next door to be served to you there. I always have pretty decent service there. They even opened an hour early for a pub crawl we were doing a couple weeks ago. That was pretty awesome! There’s pool, beer pong, DJ, juke box, several bars, lights, stripper poles, again, pretty much something for everyone…

Bartenders are dope, the crowd is pretty cool too. Don’t be fooled on the weekend by the first bar area you walk into… Keep walking back and you will see the place morph into a night club. Awesome for football Sunday! Great energy and great fans! Go niners!

Pretty cool spot for PB. Not a super large amount of people inside, but it made the feel more quaint. Came with a few buddies and it did the job. We had some cheap beers, saw some live music which was quite good actually, and played 3 games of pool. All in all, a good dive bar with options.

BEST49ERBAR I’VEEVERBEENTO. …and I’m from the Bay. This is my team. But moving to socal really didn’t showcase my team like I would’ve hoped. Understandable. I have to pay for the premium channels if I want it. But then my friend told me about this Mecca of Niner Fans at this random bar in PB. I have to say that it was an amazing experience — so much so that I’ll probably be attending EVERYSUNDAY. It’s amazing to be in a place full of like minded people. It’s amazing to be in a place full of high spirited people celebrating the same thing. It’s even more amazing to be drunk as fuck doing these things. Everyone was down to meet everyone. Tell me that’s not an awesome experience! Of course, I can only write a review based on this one outing. I have no been during the week. I have not been any other days. But for the Niners fans out here in SoCal — I hope I see you there on Sunday! s! Let’s get a drink!

I went out to PB Tuesday night to celebrate my birthday. The line for this place was literally around the corner. I was let right in because Welp– it was my birthday! I was escorted by this disco lady to «VIP» and received free shots for myself and my two friends. We danced all night! And to my surprise came the disco lady with a «Tiara» and on the screen was out a message and birthday shout out!!! Wow Typhoon you guys have really stepped things up since I’ve been there last! Thank you for the good time!

I have 2 words for you as to why you should come here: Taco Tuesday. A beef chipotle taco for $ 2 and a 14oz, strong, house margarita for $ 2.50??? YESSIREEE!!! It can get seemingly crowded at the front door(not sure why people like to congregate there), but being determined, head inside, and there are PLENTY of tables(at least, that was the case last week around 6PM). There’s not only two bars in the first room, but there’s also an entire back room as well. Typically the back room is used for live bands, but on Taco Tuesday, the room opens up so there’s more space. The bouncers are friendly, the bartenders are great(especially for making strong drinks at a cheap price!), and the waitresses are also A+. I have always sat at the bar and never had a problem with service. You don’t get gypped on the meat inside the taco either. I suppose you can’t really complain much about a place that serves such cheap food and drinks, now can you? =)

A few of my girlfriends and homies wanted to stay away from the typical PB Bar & Grill and came here instead. Went on a Tuesday night(the Tuesday before the 4th) and it was ridiculously packed. There was a huge line out the door but we got in within 5 minutes. VERY casual with a very mixed crowd. DIVERSE af. The front is the typical bar scene… tables, chairs, bar that centers the room. Smoking area is outdoors on the left hand side and can get really packed; we had to wait in line to get outside. When you walk towards the back it turns into a club scene… huge(packed & stanky lol) dance floor. Lots of ignorant people in the mix. Someone came up to my best friends and me and asked if we were Asian. When we said yes… he said«oh I noticed because your eyes go like this *squints eyes*»… He got punched in the face. Typhoon is ratchet on another level.
