Maui Sweet Cakes

I ordered several cakes here for my wedding. My wife has a big sweet tooth, so finding the right cake was extremely important for our wedding. We were led to Maui Sweet Cakes…
The 4 cakes we ordered were very simple… rustic looking with very little decorations. They just had a light frosting and flowers were placed on top.
Appearance: it was pretty much what we asked for.
Taste: Not just bad, but GROSS. ALL 4 cakes were DRY. They all tasted the same even though we got 4 different flavors. There was barely any filling inside the cakes.
Thankfully we had Ululani’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice to save the dessert!

Heidi was able to bake and create the perfect cake for our wedding. We had the Lemon Raspberry white cake, and I can’t explain how delicious it was! We had an ambitious head count, and after some friends were unable to make it to the wedding at the last minute, we had almost 2 layers of cake to take home — this did not make us sad at all (and none went to waste).
The 1-​star ratings made my heart palpitate with «what if“‘s, but those concerns quickly became a non-​issue when the time came.

Heidi is so sweet and professional, and really helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. The flavors she had us taste during our tasting were so incredibly delicious and it was probably the most fun meeting we had during the event planning.
She is very accommodating and will go above and beyond to ensure you get exactly what you want. I also provided a picture of what we wanted our cake to look like and she made it exactly as the picture we provided her. Our cake was amazing! So moist and flavorful, we had the chocolate salted caramel with rustic butter cream. The cake was even more delicious than I remembered from the tasting. The cake was also stunningly beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Would definitely HIGHLY recommend Heidi!

I just left the John Forgerty concert. I had brownies and the salted chocolate short bread cookies from Maui Sweet cakes. Absolutely DELISH!!! I immediately went on line the find Maui Sweet Cakes. I was surprised to see bad reviews. I have never had the cake but The brownies and cookies were some of the best I have had.

The wedding cake is one of the most important pieces at a wedding. It’s the first something sweet you and your husband get to share together with family and friends to celebrate your love. And hopefully, it is as delicious as you dreamed it to be and as beautiful as so many pictures in magazines.
Our experience with Heidi and with Maui Sweet Cakes was less dreamlike, and most disappointing. Heidi’s Iilikoi cake was completely dry and lacking any of the delicious lilikoi flavor I expected. The frosting was completely hardened, the berries she used were frozen, and their juices dripped down the side of the cake leaving pictures less than perfect. When approached with how disappointed we were with her cake, she said we requested that she mix the berries in sugar. As a cook, this is something I most definitely would never request as I know what happens with berries when they are mixed with sugar, as should she as a pastry chef.
Maui is so very magical for your special day, and when selecting your vendors, I advise you to go elsewhere for your cake if you want your day to be perfect and if you want your cake to be delicious.

Heidi was great to work with and bakes excellent cakes and cupcakes. We had a two layer cake that was peanut butter and chocolate and 3 different kinds of cupcakes, salted caramel, toasted coconut, and lilikoi. All were delicious. We ordered much more than we needed because we had a brunch the next day that we thought we would bring the left overs to. However most of the cupcakes were eaten that night because our guests loved them. Thanks Heidi!

Our wedding cupcakes looked and tasted absolutely perfect! Heidi was very accommodating, professional, and so lovely to work with. Since this was a destination wedding, I was a bit nervous ordering cupcakes I had never seen or tasted before. Heidi confidently gave us excellent advice on colors and flavors and it turned out more aesthetically pleasing and delicious than we could have imagined! She helped us choose a variation of malibu blue and white frosted cupcakes in different flavors, along with a strawberry cake with stunning lime green flowers on top. Our guests raved about how moist and delicious the cupcakes were. The pricing is very reasonable considering the fantastic quality and service Heidi provided us. We strongly recommend Heidi for your special event!

Maui sweet cakes did our wedding cake and it was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious!!! The baker (Heidi) was kind and so accommodating. She made the flavors we wanted and the cake got race reviews. I would definitely use her again. Thanks for the delicious cake.

Cupcakes… what’s not to love? I ordered 60 cupcakes and a smash cake from Maui Sweet Cakes for my daughter’s first birthday party on Maui. The process was super easy and the owner/​baker, Heidi Cramer, was nice and accommodating. But… the most important thing, the cakes themselves fell short.
The flavors I got for the cupcakes were chocolate salted caramel and lilikoi (yellow cake with lilikoi buttercream). The smash cake was also lilikoi. The chocolate salted caramel was super ono, but the lilikoi was terrible. One of my guests compared the texture of the yellow cake to cornbread. In fact, I was left with two bakery boxes of leftovers! It was disappointing considering I paid $ 32 for a 6-​inch cake and $ 3 per cupcake. And I couldn’t even give them away.
If you need large quantities of sweets in a hurry with no hassle, then Maui Sweet Cakes may still be a good option for you. Just steer clear of the yellow cake.
