What is up with this Jewel rewards card deal… apparently you need a card to actually swipe to get the deal since it’s the first option when you try to pay at the pump. I’ve seen this at other Shell stations but I just ignore it… well, this Shell, it’s in your face as an option and I accidentally selected it rather than credit or debit… well, it’s freezing and had to go in to see why my card was not accepted, doh! OK, I’ll try it again… third error that didn’t really tell me what was wrong, I finally ended just doing the transaction inside cause I didn’t like the «you need to see the cashier» choice.
Shell ended up losing at least another $ 10 since when you go inside, you have to tell them how much you want to put and ‘fill’er up’ is not really a choice. So, I went with $ 50 which really didn’t fill up my Rav at over $ 4.50/gal, but whatever, didn’t want to deal with give me $ 75 and yea, refund me what I don’t use.
So, aside from the misunderstanding, it’s a gas station. Nothing spectacular other than knocking nearly 0.80 off each gallon if you get a wash… thought about it since my car needs it but it’s freezing! I don’t want to deal with frozen spigots and frozen doors in the morning. Maybe in a couple of weeks or when I have salt spots, for now, it’ll be OK being a little dirty.
