No frills and solid soondaeguk and sul Lang tang. Not expensive either. They have frozen goods as well. If your craving these soups, this is your place! Great portions as well!

This low-key restaurant serves one of the best Korean soups in the area. The menu is simple, focusing on soups with either soon-dae(2 kinds: beef and blood sausage) or hand-made dumplings. They also offer jok-bal(pig feet) or soon-dae-bok-um(stir-fried soon-dae). I’ve had the soon-dae-guk several times. The portions are very generous(I counted at least 10 large pieces of soon-dae, maybe more). The beef soon-dae is a tasty alternative if you’re not a fan of the blood version. The dumplings are also large and contain well-seasoned meat. When dining in, you can add perilla seeds for flavor, pepper paste for spice, and fermented mini-shrimp(sae-oo-jut) for extra salt. The menu signs are all written in Korean, but I’ve heard one of the staff speak to non-Koreans in English. The prices for most dishes are straightforward: $ 10 with no tip or tax. The interior is completely no-frills, you pick up your order when it’s called out and return your tray when done. This has become a favorite for me and my parents if we’re in the mood for hearty soup at a great value.

My dad’s and my new soondae gook spot! The soondae quality is so much better than the other places in the Pal Park/Fort Lee area. Not only does it not smell, but it has the perfect chewiness and filling! They give you a whole bunch of kimchi which is amazing on some days and a little less fermented than I like on other days. You also have the option of ordering just the soondae(without the soup). You’ll really notice the quality difference when you have the soondae as is. The interior is a really Korean concept, but I kind of wish they had taken it a step further. maybe with wall decorations? I dont know haha What’s really great is that the restaurant is self service so there is NO tipping! They pretty much do everything for you besides bringing the tray of food to your table and back.

Best soondae guk so far I’ve had in the area. $ 10 and you get tons of meat too, much more than to soc chon. In addition to the soondae I love all the misc pork bits. They only have a few items on their menu and the place is a hole on the wall but the food makes up for it.

This is a strikingly simple eatery. Simple in that they are laser focused on doing that one thing well. And that one thing is soon-dae. You can get is just like that in regular or ‘white’ variety, all of which have a clean, delicious taste. Some expect that heavy, beefy, or even liver-ish, gamey taste(kind of like deer) but not here! You can also get it in its stew form, which is fantastic. They have since expanded their menu offering but you won’t find an expansive menu. Also note that the price that’s posted is cash price. It’s not too obvious. They accept credit card but they add a nominal credit card fee to make up for the extra charges the credit card companies that retailers have to pay for using credit. This might rub you the wrong way but I can respect them trying to give cash payers a better deal.

Surprisingly simple and delicious. There are three traditional Koreans stews $ 10 each that are pretty much self served. Comes with Kimchi, but otherwise no frills.

Best soondae I’ve had in the area. The setup is casual and cafeteria style(pick up and drop off your food on a tray). I had the soondaeguk(soondae soup), which comes out plain, but you can add different spices at the table to your preference. The white soondae is a must try. It tastes cleaner and overall better than the traditional black soondae.

I usually don’t like soondaeguk but, OMG. This place has the best soondaeguk ever. They give you so much kimchi on the side too. The kimchi is terrific too by the way. The owners if this place is this old Korean couple who seems to enjoy serving delicious food to their customers more than trying to make a profit. They are always trying to give you more food than you ask for. They remind me of my grandparents. This place has been getting pretty busy recently. So, itll prob be better to go on a weekday if possible. Closed on Sundays!

I’ve been to this place about three times now, and have tried most of their menu :) They have a very simple menu of less than 10 items, but they cook each item really well. Their dishes always taste home-made without the msg-kind of taste. I guess for some people, the dishes may taste a little bland but you can always add more seasoning! They specialize in soondae(korean sausage), seolleongtang(ox bone soup), and jokbal(pig feet = pork shank). I like their seolleongtang a lot, it’s this milky off-white soup with noodles and pieces of meat in it. This place is a no frills restaurant, and you don’t have to pay tax/tip here. It’s definitely not a place to take your date. This restaurant doesn’t have any décor whatsoever. Bring your friends and family if you want to taste grandma’s homemade korean food: D

Ok, I don’t know how recently this place opened, but I am pretty sure this place is definitely off the radar for most Non Korean people. and for Koreans, Miami Best Food doesnt’ even make sense at all because what they sell is basically korean style sausage. Traditionally I think the noodle was stuffed with pig blood in a capsule/cover. I would say it may look like haggis from scotland. Anyhow, if you are not someone who like to try new things when You have no idea, you may not like it. For koreans, this is a very good sundae place. You may wanna try if whether you are korean or not.
