My mother who is 60 years old went to the shop to get a perm. Man who serviced her only works there part time Sunday Monday Tuesday. He told her a regular perm will not work on her and insisted her to get expansive perm that will make her look better. The result was atrocious!!! She looked like an inmate that escaped from prison. He gave her root perm that looked fried and straightened the rest of her hair. I was appalled by her hair. He is arrogant son of a bit** who knows shit about hair and rips off customers!!! So angry and will recommend people to not to use this guy. Other than him everyone is awesome there and great stylists.

Great place for men’s haircuts. Wash before and after the cut is included for $ 30 bucks. Gina is the best stylist. If going o. The weekends an apt is advised. Walk ins are accommodated but expect to wait. The cut kids as well and do a great job of making them feel comfortable.

I have been coming to Scissor Sound for several years now, even though it’s about 45min out of my way to get to. Okay, I also make the commute because So Moon Nan Jip is down the road and I love their food, but that’s beside the point… I can’t speak for most of the girls who work here, but Paul(the owner) does an awesome job with my hair. I always get a simple layered cut, but he does it better than anyone else I have gone to. Unfortunately I do not speak much Korean and he only speaks broken English… He’s super friendly though and always does a good job. Very professional. The girls who wash your hair and sweep the floor are fine, generally polite and pretty quiet. I had my hair colored here once as well. I was really happy with the results(one of the korean girls colored it for me). Highly recommend this place. I’m not sure if they take walk-ins so you can call ahead and ask for Paul!
