Dr. Holcroft and his staff if highly skilled and caring. Very friendly environment and felt at ease while I was there!

What’s more difficult; dealing with the IRS or finding a new dentist? So far the IRS is the winner. DISCLAIMER: Although I spent time with Dr. Holcroft our«meeting» never went beyond conversation. He very well MAY be the most highly skilled and honorable dentist in all of South Florida. Further, I see a dentist every six months and went to Dr. Holcroft looking for a cleaning and new dentist(due to a recent move) and not with any particular acute problem. After a full set of x-rays and some examination by the hygienist Dr Holcroft enters, nicely introduces himself and briefly looks at the results. After outlining damn near every dental problem known to man, I did ask if many of the suggestions were«holding actions» rather than permanent fixes to which I got an honest, «Yes». Nonetheless I was kind of(my impression) tag teamed by Holcroft and the hygienist, just as they must have practiced at a «Maximize Your Practice Profits» type weekend seminar. After an okay cleaning(seemed not as thorough and«deep» as I’m used to getting) another appointment was made to start their deep cleaning régime. That’s only four appointments and along with some work on an existing cap given a «treatment plan» for $ 2,000.00! And of course we’ll do this dance all over again every two years. BTW, on leaving I was charged about $ 320.00 after they voluntarily quoted some figure in the upper two’s. I did question the difference but gave it a pass after a double talk answer. So with some thought I decided to cancel the next appointment and get my x-rays for a second opinion and was told I would have to speak to the office manager who«will call you back in 5 to 10 minutes.» Long story short; she never called, but did respond to my second call the following week. Advised she would email them, days later they never came; she told me to check my «spam», although I don’t know why as she never sent them. Finally got an email, but surprise, surprise no attachment! After a number of calls and emails I do have them, but it didn’t need to be that difficult. BTW, I did get a recent call to confirm my upcoming appointment that I cancelled on my initial call.
